The supporting collar includes a fastening section for retaining the supporting collar on the foundation, a carrier section supported by the fastening section, a bearing recess formed on the carrier section for mounting of the bearing section, and a locking head supported by the carrier section on which a counter-bearing for the locking section is formed so that the locking section is retained in a position relative to the bearing section of the spring element.

The invention relates to a tension clamp for the holding of a rail for rail vehicles and a rail fastening point. The tension clamp has a central section having two legs, two torsional sections connected thereto and leading away laterally in an outwards direction having a supporting zone, and two supporting arms connected to the torsional sections. The supporting arms run to the front face of the tension clamp and have a spring section and a support section with a supporting zone. The fact that the support sections point laterally in an outwards direction such that the straight lines which in each case connect the centers of the supporting zones and the torsional section allocated to the supporting arm in an area on the rear face of the tension element increases the natural frequencies of the tension clamp such that they are outside of stimulation frequencies that occur in practice.

The invention relates to a tension clamp for holding down a rail for rail vehicles. It includes a middle section with two legs, two torsion sections connected to the legs leading laterally outwards and having a support zone on their underside, by which the tension clamp is supported during use, and two supporting arms connected to the torsion sections. The supporting arms extend to the front side of the tension clamp and have a spring section and a support section, which has a support zone by which they are supported during use. The support sections of the supporting arms point laterally outwards so that the straight lines intersect in a region located on the rear side of the tension clamp. The invention also relates to a guide plate that protects a tension clamp against breakage during excitation in the range of its natural frequency, and a rail fastening point.

Recessed concrete rail seat assembly

A low maintenance rail seat has recess in the concrete tie and an abrasion plate that covers the floor of the recess and its sides parallel to the rail base. The abrasion plate includes ribs which seat in additional recesses in the tie to retard longitudinal movement. The anti-abrasion assembly preferably has four flanges which wrap around the top of concrete tie to prevent dust particles from entering and abrading the concrete rail seat. These flanges also wrap around the support shoulder for additional resistance to longitudinal movement. The components are designed to provide 8.5 of lateral support along the side of the rail base while the traditional e clip fastener provides only 3 of lateral support. The interlock feature between the anti-abrasion assembly and the concrete tie also minimizes relative movement between abrasion plate and concrete tie, which results in less concrete surface abrasion.

An improved screwed fastening system for railway rails is proposed to allow rail fastening clips to be moved onto and off the rail more easily, facilitating track installation and maintenance. One improvement comprises providing in the screwed fastening system a clip guiding device, for guiding the rail fastening clip whilst it is being driven, which has an asymmetrically-located hole for receiving the screw-threaded shank of a screwbolt. Another improvement comprises providing in the screwed fastening system a rail fastening clip and screwbolt assembly which have inter-engaging driving portions. In each case, rotation of the screwbolt in one direction brings about translational movement of the rail bearing portion of the clip away from the screwbolt, and rotation of the screwbolt in the opposite direction brings about translational movement of the rail bearing portion of the clip towards the screwbolt.

A rail pad can have a major face forming a railseat portion on which a foot of a railway rail sits when the pad is in use, the railseat portion having opposite side edges to at least part of each of which a respective upstanding portion of the pad can be connected, wherein the pad does not have any part which extends laterally from the railseat portion in a same plane as the railseat portion. The respective upstanding portion can be connected to a projection of the rail pad which extends laterally from the respective upstanding portion such that the projection can be vertically spaced from, and does not overhang, the railseat portion, the projection spaced from ends of the respective upstanding portion such that the projection can be configured to interlock with a corresponding opening in a front part of one of the railway rail clip anchoring devices.

Anchoring devices for rail fastening clips

This invention relates to an anchoring device for use in retaining a railway rail fastening clip, the device comprising a stem for embedding in a rail support member, a head extending from the stem and comprising a generally hook-shaped portion for extending over a portion of the clip to effect retention and terminating at an end apart from the stem, and wherein in use, said end terminates at a sealing plate for bridging the end of the hook-shaped portion and the stem. An associated anchoring device assembly and railway rail fastening assembly are also disclosed.

The invention relates to a guide plate for laterally guiding a rail in a rail attachment point formed on a railroad tie, wherein the guide plate has a top side having a support surface for supporting a spring element, an underside, by way of which the guide plate is supported on the railroad tie during use, a support segment having a support surface, by way of which the guide plate is supported, during use, on a shoulder provided on the railroad tie, and possesses a guide segment which is formed opposite to the support segment, and on which a guide surface is present, on which a rail is laterally guided during use. In order to counteract twisting of the rail and concomitantly the risk of the occurrence of track warping at high outdoor temperatures when using such a guide plate in a rail attachment point, a latch projection is formed in lateral end segments of the guide surface, in each instance, projecting away from the guide surface in the longitudinal direction of the guide plate, which is provided for the purpose of engaging, during use, under the longitudinal side of the rail that is assigned to the guide surface, in each instance, wherein the distance between the latch projections amounts to at least 60% of the width of the guide surface.
