MULTIFUNCTIONAL THIN BITUMINOUS LAYER WITH HIGH MECHANICAL PERFORMANCE
The present invention discloses a multifunctional thin bituminous layer, intended to be used as a layer with high mechanical performance in an infrastructural element, for example a road, based on a bituminous mixture containing bitumen, an additive composition, and inorganic inert materials. The additive composition includes at least one polyolefin plastic material and optionally further additives. The present invention also refers to an infrastructural element including the above-mentioned multifunctional thin bituminous layer, as well as a process for producing the multifunctional thin bituminous layer and its application to said infrastructural element.
Asphalt compositions including recycled polymer and epoxy-functionalized ethylene copolymer
The present disclosure provides embodiments of an asphalt composition and methods of making that may include asphalt binder; a recycled polymer component; an epoxy-functionalized ethylene copolymer, the epoxy-functionalized ethylene copolymer having the formula E/X/Y/Z. E may be a copolymer unit (CH.sub.2CH.sub.2) derived from ethylene; X may be a copolymer unit (CH.sub.2CR.sup.1R.sup.2), where R.sup.1 is hydrogen, methyl, or ethyl, and R.sup.2 is carboalkoxy, acyloxy, or alkoxy of 1 to 10 carbon atoms, present in from 0 to about 40 weight % of the copolymer; Y may be a copolymer unit (CH.sub.2CR.sup.3R.sup.4), where R.sup.3 is hydrogen or methyl and R.sup.4 is carboglycidoxy or glycidoxy present in from 0 to about 25 weight % of the copolymer; Z may be a copolymer derived from comonomers including carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, acrylonitrile, or other monomers, present from 0 to about 10 weight % of the copolymer.
STABLE EMULSIONS FOR PRODUCING POLYMER MODIFIED ASPHALT
An acid modified asphalt binder is combined with an emulsifier solution to produce an emulsified asphalt binder. The acid modified asphalt binder may be formed by combining an asphalt binder, a phosphorous-based acid, and, optionally, a polymer modifier. The emulsifier solution may be produced by forming an aqueous solution of an amine and a phosphorous-based acid, which forms an aqueous solution comprising an amine phosphate. The emulsified asphalt binder may be combined with an aggregate to form a paving material. In other examples, the emulsified asphalt binder may be used alone, for example in a chip seal application, or in a diluted form, for example in a fog seal application.
Non-solidifying rubberized asphalt composition for providing inpermeable intermediate drainage layer and method for providing inpermeable intermediate drainage layer with single paving process using the same
The present invention relates to a paving method of forming an intermediate layer, where a non-solidifying rubberized asphalt penetrates, on an asphalt mixture for base layer or a cement concrete to provide a permeable layer and an impermeable (intermediate) layer simultaneously with a single paving process for surface layer. The waterproofing and draining functions of the non-solidifying rubberized asphalt layer completely block water or moisture from penetrating into the underlying layer and protect the roads from damage due to freezing temperature with the moisture penetrating into the group in winter. The non-solidifying rubberized asphalt layer constituting the intermediate layer has the non-solidifying rubberized asphalt melt down and move upwards under the paving temperature and pressure applied during the paving process of forming a surface layer and firmly bind with the base layer, thereby completing an integrated pavement structure with enhanced water resistance and durability.

DRY MORTAR, MORTAR SLURRY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SEMI-RIGID COATINGS
The present invention relates to a dry mortar and a mortar slurry as well as a method for producing semi-rigid coatings. In one embodiment, the dry mortar or the mortar slurry contains a cement, a very fine component and a plasticizer and is free from silica fume, wherein the mortar slurry can be applied at a temperature of the asphalt support structure of 55 to 80 C. and a compressive strength of at least 100 N/mm.sup.2 is achieved after 28 days. In a further embodiment, the dry mortar or the mortar slurry also contains a gelling agent such that the mortar slurry has a reduced efflux tendency.
