APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR MEASURING SADDLE LINKAGE POSITION OF A MOTOR GRADER
Graders and methods of operation thereof are disclosed herein. A grader includes a chassis, a saddle linkage, and a motion measurement system. The saddle linkage is supported for movement relative to the chassis and includes a mount movably coupled to the chassis, first and second arms each movably coupled to the mount, and a crossbar movably coupled to each of the first and second arms. The mount has a lock pin aperture, each of the first and second arms has a locking hole, and the crossbar has a plurality of locking holes. The lock pin aperture may be aligned with one locking hole of the first arm, the second arm, or the crossbar to position the saddle linkage in use of the grader. The motion measurement system is coupled to the saddle linkage and configured to measure movement or position of one or more components of the grader in use thereof.
MOUNTING ASSEMBLY
A mounting assembly for a blade of a motor grader is provided. The mounting assembly includes a mounting bracket having a mounting channel. The mounting assembly includes an adjustment block disposed in the mounting channel. The adjustment block includes a mounting groove and at least one slot disposed spaced apart with respect to the mounting groove. The mounting assembly also includes at least one retention plate disposed on the mounting bracket. The at least one retention plate is adapted to engage with the at least one slot provided on the adjustment block. The at least one retention plate is adapted to limit movement of the adjustment block along a longitudinal axis of the adjustment block. The mounting assembly further includes a wear element disposed in the mounting groove provided in the adjustment block. The wear element is adapted to slidably receive a portion of the blade thereon.
CONFIGURABLE CONTROL INPUT FOR WORK MACHINE
A control system and method for a work machine includes an input control, an input interface, and a controller. The input control is moveable in at least a first direction to provide control of the work machine. The input interface is configured to receive a control selection input. The controller is configured to set a control action in response to receiving the control selection input from the input interface, and the work machine is controlled as defined by the control action upon the input control moving in the first direction to a position along the first direction.
FRAME ASSEMBLY FOR SUPPORTING AN IMPLEMENT ON A VEHICLE
A frame assembly for supporting an implement on a vehicle includes a support frame attachable to the vehicle, a lever pivotable about a first axis between first and second positions, and a biasing assembly connecting the lever to the support frame. A first end of the biasing assembly is supported against the lever to pivot about a second pivot axis being parallel to the first pivot axis and being vertically spaced relative to the first pivot axis when the support frame is removably attached to the vehicle and the lever is in the first position. A second end of the biasing assembly is supported against the support frame to pivot about a third pivot axis when the lever pivots about the first pivot axis. The third pivot axis is parallel to and is spaced from the first pivot axis when the support frame is removably attached to the vehicle.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A GRADING MACHINE
A grading machine includes a machine body, a grading blade, a drawbar connecting the grading blade to the machine body, a blade sideshift cylinder and a blade sideshift cylinder rod, a user interface, and a control system. The control system may be configured to receive an input from the user interface and extend or retract the blade sideshift cylinder to adjust a sideshift of the grading blade to one of a plurality of predetermined sideshift positions based on the input.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A GRADING MACHINE
A grading machine includes a machine body, a grading blade, a drawbar connecting the grading blade and the circle to the machine body, a blade pitch cylinder coupled to a top portion of the grading blade, a user interface, and a control system. The control system may be configured to receive an input from the user interface and extend or retract the blade pitch cylinder to adjust a pitch of the grading blade to one of a plurality of predetermined pitch positions based on the input.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A GRADING MACHINE
A grading machine include a machine body, a grading blade, at least one grading blade sensor configured to sense a position and orientation of the grading blade, a drawbar connecting the grading blade to the machine body, a drawbar centershift cylinder, a user interface, and a control system. The control system is configured to receive an input from the user interface and position and orient the grading blade and the drawbar to one of a plurality of predetermined maintenance positions based on the input.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A GRADING MACHINE
A grading machine may include a machine body, a grading blade supported by a circle, a drawbar connecting the grading blade and the circle to the machine body, a user interface, and a control system. The control system may be configured to receive an input from the user interface and adjust an orientation of the grading blade to one of a plurality of predetermined orientations based on the input.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A GRADING MACHINE
A grading machine may include a machine body, a grading blade, a drawbar connecting the grading blade to the machine body, a drawbar centershift cylinder, a user interface, and a control system. The control system may be configured to receive an input from the user interface and extend or retract the drawbar centershift cylinder to adjust a centershift of the drawbar to one of a plurality of predetermined centershift positions based on the input.
MOTOR GRADER SADDLE POSITIONING SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
A draft frame positioning system of a motor grader having a main frame includes an adjustable draft frame configured to be moved to one of a plurality of positions and a moldboard coupled to the draft frame. The moldboard is movable based on the position of the draft frame. A saddle assembly is coupled between the draft frame and the main frame, and the saddle assembly includes a first saddle arm, a second saddle arm, and a saddle top member coupled between the first and second saddle arms. A saddle positioning cylinder moves between an extended position and a retracted position, and the cylinder is coupled at one end to the main frame or the saddle top member and at an opposite end to the saddle assembly. A movement of the saddle positioning cylinder induces movement of the draft frame to any of its plurality of positions.
