Dose delivery device for inhalation
Methods and devices for delivering a dose, such as a medicament, for inhalation. A dose may be stored by a delivery device and dispersed and delivered in a metered fashion to a subject, such as by the subject inhaling via a mouthpiece of the delivery device. One or more chambers of the device may have a toroidal shape and may be arranged to be selectively opened for fluid communication with a flow path of the delivery device, such as by sliding the chamber relative to a portion of the flow path. The flow path may include a restriction that permits air to bypass the chamber, and/or the chamber may be arranged so that fluid entering the chamber interacts with fluid exiting the chamber so as to enhance dispersion of the dose.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR AEROSOLIZED DELIVERING OF SUBSTANCE TO A NATURAL ORIFICE OF THE BODY
A device for delivering a predetermined volume a substance within a body cavity. The device includes: at least one predefined volume sized and shaped to contain a predetermined volume the substance; a delivery end in fluid communication with a container; and at least one valve mechanically connected to the container and configurable between an active configuration in which the valve enables delivery of a volume of the substance and an inactive configuration, in which the valve prevents delivery.
PORTABLE MEDICAL SPRAY
A portable medical spray includes a tubular body having a room defined therein, and a breakable portion is formed to the top end of the body. A connection portion extends from the bottom end of the body. A nozzle is connected to the top end of the body. The nozzle has a passage which is located corresponding to the breakable portion. A medicine cell is located in the room of the body and has medicine received therein. The medicine cell is a compressible bellow cell. A needle is located in the medicine cell. An end part is mounted to the connection portion. The end part is pushed toward the nozzle to compress the medicine cell, and the needle penetrates through the top end of the medicine cell and the breakable portion to release the medicine via the nozzle.
UNIT DOSE DRY POWDER INHALER
The invention provides a unit dose dispenser in the form of a blister containing a dry powder for inhalation. The blister comprises a base material in which a cavity is formed comprising a bowl that contains the powder and a channel that opens into the bowl. The channel contains a tube that has separate sections that provide an air outlet and an air inlet. The air outlet is further from the bowl than the air inlet. The upper side of the tube is flat and level with the top of the channel A lid material, such as a foil or foil laminate, seals the cavity. The blister has a detachable portion which, when removed, exposes the air inlet and the air outlet. A process for making the unit dose dispensers is also provided, which is based on the conventional process for manufacturing blister strips for dry powder inhalers.
NASAL DELIVERY DEVICE FOR A POWDER
A nasal powder dispenser device (100) having a reservoir (110) containing a dose of powder; a nasal dispenser head (120) for inserting into a user's nostril, the nasal dispenser head including a dispenser orifice (121); and an air expeller (130) that, during actuation of the nasal powder dispenser device (100), generates a flow of compressed air so as to dispense a dose of powder into the nostril through the dispenser orifice (121). The air expeller has an air chamber (131) and a piston (132) that slides in airtight manner in the air chamber (131) so as to compress the air contained in the air chamber (131); the nasal powder dispenser device (100) presenting the following properties: a pressure, of the flow of compressed air generated by the air expeller (130), that is higher than 0.7 bar; and a volume, of the air chamber (131), that is greater than 1700 mm.sup.3.
INHALER
A device for inhaling an active agent is provided that can be moved from a first configuration to a second configuration. The device comprises two flexible substrates and a membrane located between the two flexible substrates, and the two flexible substrates being connected at two opposing edges and unconnected at two further opposing edges. An active agent provided on the membrane may be inhaled by a user when the device is in the second configuration.

NASAL POWDER DELIVERY DEVICE
A nasal powder delivery device having a container containing a dose of powder, a nasal delivery head, and an air discharge system generating a flow of compressed air for delivering a dose of powder into the nostril. An air chamber is arranged in a skirt, and a piston sealingly slides in the air chamber to compress the air. The piston is connected to an actuating member, in which, before actuation, at least one breakable bridge is provided between the skirt and the actuating member, wherein each breakable bridge is formed on the skirt and cooperates with a radial projection formed on the actuating member. Each radial projection has an axial extension greater than that of the respective breakable bridge and forms an inclined axial ramp on either side.
Delivery Apparatus, Method And System for Inhalable Medications
Adherable, perforated patch worn inside or outside a facial mask delivering an inhalable product to airspace proximate to human respiratory airway. A disposable cover and disposable seal is removed, the patch is applied to inside or outside of a mask, with the mask worn over the mouth and nose. The patch delivers inhalable product to air proximate to the patch. Disposable cover, seal and tamper proof wrapper. Methods of manufacturing, distribution and utilization of the patch are disclosed.
A DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR AROMATIC OILS
The present invention provides a system for delivering oils to a person's nasal passage without the oils coming into contact with the sensitive mucous membranes of the nostrils of the user. The delivery system includes a nasal clip, externally attached to a nasal septum of a user, and a pair of scented inserts which are configured to fit and be secured by a pair of generally cylindrical shaped receptacles formed at the end of the nasal clip.
