POSITION-BIASED LOCKING PIN ASSEMBLY FOR A GROUND ENGAGING WEAR MEMBER
A locking pin assembly for securing a wear member to a support structure may include a body portion and may include a shaft member partially disposed within and extending from the body portion and rotatable between a first position that mechanically inhibits removal of a ground engaging member from a support structure and a second position that permits removal of the ground engaging member from the support structure. A wear member for receiving a locking pin assembly may include a bore extending laterally through the bore member with a proximal opening and a distal opening, an installation ramp and a removal ramp may be disposed at the proximal opening for engaging a tang of a shaft member of the locking pin assembly.
COMBINED STRUCTURE
Proposed is a combined structure, and the combined structure includes a coupling target object having a coupling space that comprises a first space and a second space communicating with each other, a damper structure accommodated in the first space and including a flexible portion having a hollow therein and a hard portion coupled to the flexible portion and having one surface exposed to an outside, and a coupling unit accommodated in the second space, a portion of which is in contact with one surface of the hard portion. The hollow is closed from the outside in the damper structure. In response to rotation of the coupling unit in the second space, another portion different from the portion of the coupling unit comes into contact with the hard portion.
Work implement assembly using an adapter mating with a notched base edge
A base edge includes a plurality of center notches and a first and a second end notches that all include the same configuration, defining a notch depth along direction of assembly, a straight middle portion straddled laterally by a first arcuate corner portion and a second arcuate corner portion, the straight middle portion defining a lateral straight middle portion width, and the notch depth ranges from 0.1 multiplied by the lateral straight middle portion width to 0.5 multiplied by the lateral straight middle portion width.
Work implement assembly using a corner adapter mating with a notched base edge
The first and the second legs and the throat portion of an adapter include an upper surface and a lower surface that at least partially define a slot, and a clearance void disposed at the closed end of the slot. A ratio of the clearance void width to the clearance void height ranges from 2.0 to 3.0.
Wear assembly having a lock
Wear members for wear assemblies include a lock configured to secure the wear member to a base, where the lock has two engagement positions, namely: (a) a first position that secures the lock to the wear member, and (b) a second position that secures the wear member to the base. The locks are further configured to be unlatched and removed from the wear member in two phases, a first retraction of the latching mechanism, followed by a rotation of the lock itself with removal from the wear member.
STABILIZING FEATURES IN A WEAR MEMBER ASSEMBLY
A wear member assembly may include a nose attachable to a bucket lip. The nose may include a rear portion having a first set of substantially planar surfaces including a first, second, and third subset of surfaces. The third subset of surfaces may be angled and positioned between the first subset of surfaces and the second subset of surfaces. The nose may also include a forward portion positioned forwardly adjacent to the rear portion, the forward portion having a second set of substantially planar surfaces including a fourth, fifth, and sixth subset of surfaces. The sixth set of surfaces may be angled and positioned between the first subset of surfaces and the second subset of surfaces. The wear member assembly may also include a wear member having a cavity comprising rear and forward bearing surfaces corresponding to the third and sixth subset of surfaces.
BUCKET TOOTH MONITORING SYSTEM
According to some implementations, a magnetic sensor may include a communication device; a magnetic switch; and a controller configured to: determine whether the magnetic switch is actuated by a magnet associated with the bucket tooth; generate, based on determining whether the magnetic switch is actuated, a message concerning an attachment status of the bucket tooth; and cause the communication device to wirelessly transmit the message.
System for securing bits against rotation
A system for use in securing bits against rotation in a motor grader may include a bit, with the bit having a shank. The shank may include a locking portion. The system may include an adapter board including a hole configured to receive the shank of the bit. The system may also include an anti-rotation plate configured to engage the locking portion of the shank of the bit such that the anti-rotation plate constrains the bit against rotation with respect to the adapter board.
Work implement assembly using a corner adapter cover
An adapter cover includes a shell body including an exterior surface and an interior surface. A front face portion defines a thru-hole, a top leg extending horizontally from the front face portion and defining an adapter cover key on the interior surface. A top leg side portion defining a concave arcuate portion extending rearward from the front face portion, a convex arcuate portion extending horizontally from the concave arcuate portion, and terminating in a vertical rear surface. A bottom leg extending horizontally from the front face portion.
Work implement assembly using a center adapter mating with a notched base edge
An adapter includes a first leg, a second leg, and a throat portion that define a slot defining a direction of assembly onto a work implement assembly, a lateral direction that is perpendicular to the direction of assembly, and a vertical direction that is perpendicular to the direction of assembly and the lateral direction. The throat portion further includes a first throat side surface disposed along the lateral direction and a second throat side surface disposed on the opposite side of the throat portion along the lateral direction. The first throat side surface defines a first adapter cover receiving recess.
