In one embodiment, the nasal clip is infused with a volatile medicant and/or therapeutic aromatic that volatilizes under body temperature to permeate into the septum mucosa of a user's nose. In a second embodiment, the nasal clip has limbs that are pre-stressed to engage the septum mucosa so that the intermittent stimulation caused by the frequency of each heart beat and the heat in the inhaled warm breath help release the volatile medicants and aromatic materials. In a third embodiment, the nasal clip is integrated with an oxygen delivery cannula to allow delivery of oxygen with the medicant and/or therapeutic aromatic.

A method of increasing eustachian tube patency in human patients is disclosed wherein a eustachian tube targeting nasal administration device is utilized to deliver a surfactant/propellant mixture to the nasopharyngeal stoma of the auditory tube. The targeting capability of the administration device obviates the need for a spreading agent that would otherwise be required to enable at least a portion of surfactant to reach the eustachian tube orifice. More specifically, the non-targeting, indiscriminate delivery provided by nasal administration devices of the past required surfactant to spread over non-targeted tissue it was inadvertently applied to in order to reach the eustachian tube stoma. In addition, a method for treatment of otitis media is disclosed utilizing, in some preferred embodiments, a therapeutically active agent.

A nasal device comprises a first component and a second component and a connector for coupling the first component to the second component and configured to span a nasal septum of the user. The first component comprises a body for insertion into a nasal cavity of a nose of a user. The body comprises a loop structure having an inner surface defining an aperture and a reverse outer surface, the loop structure being configured for alignment with an interior contour of a nasal passage of the nose, a platform spanning the aperture defined by the inner surface of the loop structure, and a valve mechanism disposed on the platform for controlling fluid flow through the aperture. The first component further comprises at least one mount extending from the body.

Columella Nasal Clip / Dilator for Aromatic Substances

A nasal clip and/or dilator which is U-shaped having protruding wider spherical/spheroid holders at each end of the U is designed to be placed such that each spherical holder is in a nostril. The U-shaped clip can press against the columella and each holder against the septum. Inside each holder is a scented piece, such as a plastic ball or cylinder with aromatic compounds there-in which exit from the surface of the respective scented piece. To facilitate the scent escaping from the scented piece and into the nose, each holder has portals such as around the circumference thereof and/or on opposite sides thereof, transverse to the U of the holder.
