Structural member
A structural assembly (10) comprising a first structural member (100), a second structural member (200), and a lock plate (300). Each of the structural members (100, 200) have a first portion (102, 202) which extends in a first plane and a second portion (103, 203) which extends away from the first portion (102, 202) and which extends in a second plane at an angle to the first plane. The first portion (102, 202) of the structural members (100, 200) are provided with an engagement feature (104, 204) configured to interlock with a compatible engagement feature (304) provided on the lock plate (300) of the structural assembly. The second portion (103, 203) of the first structural member (100) and second structural member (200) being provided with: compatible seating features (106, 206) configured to seat one of the structural members (200) on the other structural member (100).
SNAP CONNECTORS FOR WALL FRAMING
A framing system includes a first connection assembly that engages with a substrate. The first connection assembly includes a first connector and a track. At least one spring flange defined by the first connector engages with a fastener positioned along the substrate to maintain the first connection assembly in a fixed position relative to the substrate and to interconnect the substrate with the track. The framing system further includes a second connection assembly defining a second connector engaged to a stud. The second connection assembly engages with the first connection assembly to interconnect the stud with the track.
STRUCTURAL FUSE WITH INTEGRAL SPACER PLATES
A structural fuse is disclosed including a fuse base and a fuse plate extending from the fuse base. The fuse plate may include a reduced diameter yield section configured to yield at loads on the structural fuse above a threshold. The reduced diameter yield section includes a pair of slots on either side of the yield section, which slots receive a pair of spacers. The spacers are integrally formed as part of the fuse plate, and remain attached to the fuse plate during fabrication of the structural fuse.
Full moment connection collar systems
A full-moment column collar is disclosed, including four collar flange components and four collar corner components. Each collar flange component includes an upper transverse element and a lower transverse element, connected by a bridging member. Each collar corner component includes first and second expanses defining a corner and a standoff portion extending from the corner, the standoff portion having a distal T-shaped structure. Each collar corner component is configured to connect two adjacent collar flange components, and each collar corner component has a multi-axis alignment structure extending from a bottom end portion for vertically positioning a lower transverse element of a respective collar flange component.
Method for manufacturing column-beam joint structure and the column-beam joint structure
Provided is a column-beam joint structure 1, wherein a plurality of thick-walled portions 3, notches 7, and narrow-width portions 9a on a central side of a flange plate 5 are formed integrally, cutting (dividing) is effected at a cut line 8, and the thick-walled portion 3 is welded and joined to a column 2a.
Moment frame including lateral bracing system and coped beam
A construction formed of column and a beam, where the beam has top and bottom flanges coupled to the column by a lateral bracing system, and a web between the top and bottom flanges. The lateral bracing system may include a column-mounted plate including a horizontal portion and a vertical portion, the vertical portion affixed to the column. The beam may be coped at top and bottom edges of the web to prevent binding of the beam flange with the column-mounted plate upon rotation of the beam relative to the column.
ONE-PIECE BONDING SPLICE FOR RAILS
A splice having a main body and one or more protrusions extending from the main body. The one or more protrusions can be operable to interfere with a rail when the main body is installed into an opening of the rail. The one or more protrusions may be operable to cut into a coating of the rail and form an electrical connection between the rail and the main body.
WATERPROOFING AND SAFETY-INCREASING PREFABRICATED BUILDING FRAMING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A waterproof and safety framing system is disclosed. The framing system includes a building defining an opening, a wall panel, and a framing assembly. The framing assembly includes receiver and a bottom track. The receiver is installed along an edge of the opening, with the receiver including a receiver bottom wall that defines a receiver ridge extending along a length of the receiver. The bottom track is attached to an edge of the wall panel and including a track bottom wall that defines a track ridge, with the receiver and the bottom track matingly engaging such that the bottom track overlays the receiver and the receiver ridge and the track ridge are proximal one another. The framing assembly is structured to prevent the wall panel from passing through the opening in a first direction.
