SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS FOR MULTISTORY BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
A multistory building construction system comprising at least one base plate including a centrally disposed sleeve extending vertically from a top surface thereof and configured to engage an interior portion of a bottom end of at least one first-floor column including a cap plate disposed on a top end thereof with a centrally disposed sleeve extending vertically therefrom configured to engage an exterior portion of a bottom end of at least one upper-floor column and configured to support a decking for a concrete floor, the first-floor column and upper-floor column further including at least one sheer tab for attachment of beams for support of the decking.
STRUCTURAL SUPPORT MEMBER HAVING A TAPERED INTERFACE
An interface for a structural member includes at least one first sidewall that extends from a first end along a longitudinal direction and defines a first cavity. The at least one first sidewall defines a female end section and includes a transversely oriented female end surface at the first end. The interface also includes at least one second sidewall that extends from a second end along the longitudinal direction and defines a second cavity. The at least one second sidewall defines a male end section adjacent the second end and configured to be received within the first cavity, and a stop surface offset longitudinally from the second end and oriented to bear against the female end surface in substantially face-to-face contact when the male end section is received within the female end section. The stop surface and the male end section are integrally formed and monolithic.
BALCONY INSTALLATION
A balcony includes a balcony assembly and a structural post and outrigger system. The structural posts provide structural support for buildings and include the outriggers that extend substantially perpendicularly from the structural posts to a location where the balcony assembly will be installed. The outriggers include a tube or beam and an end plate on an end of the beam distal from the structural post. The balcony assembly includes at least one long beam, a platform, and a locking mechanism on an end of the long beam. The locking mechanism includes a channel for receiving and securing the end plate of the outrigger. The balcony assembly is secured to the outrigger using fasteners.
Seismic yielding connection
The disclosed technology provides a seismic yielding connector. The seismic yielding connector includes a U-shaped plate configured to connect a side stud of a panel to another component of a panel and a yielding plate located between the U-shaped plate and the side stud of the panel. A high-strength bolt connects the U-shaped plate, the yielding plate, and the side stud of the panel to a structural column. A bushing is located between the U-shaped plate and the structural column.
Reinforcement structure, equipment frame, and booth
A reinforcement structure includes compound trusses placed horizontally symmetrically, and each compound truss is constituted by a first truss and a second truss. Each first truss has: a vertical side; a first inclined side extending obliquely downward from an upper end of the vertical side; and a second inclined side connecting between the vertical side and a lower end of the first inclined side. Each second truss shares the first inclined side with the first truss and has: a horizontal side extending horizontally from the upper end of the vertical side; and a second inclined side connecting between a tip end of the horizontal side and the lower end of the first inclined side. Each compound truss is coupled to the construction in a state where the vertical side is along an inner side surface of the construction and the horizontal side is along a ceiling surface of the construction.

Structural support member having a tapered interface
An interface for a structural column includes a female end section that includes at least one first sidewall that extends from a first end along a longitudinal direction and defines a first cavity. An interior surface of the at least one first sidewall tapers transversely outwardly along the female end section towards the first end. The interface also includes a male end section that includes at least one second sidewall that extends from a second end along the longitudinal direction and defines a second cavity. The at least one second sidewall is configured to be received within, and oriented in substantially face-to-face adjacent relationship with, the at least one first sidewall. Each of the female end section and the male end section is a respective unitary casting.
Connection node for modular building structures
A connection node assembly for use in connecting an upper prefabricated building module to a lower module. Hollow vertical edge supports of the building modules have top and bottom connection parts. A connecting bolt can be passed through the top part of an upper vertical support in the upper building module and seated within the bottom part of that vertical support with the shank extending downward. The shank engages a threaded aperture in a connecting nut secured within the top part of a corresponding lower vertical support in the lower building module. Diaphragm plates sandwiched between the upper and lower vertical supports are used to tie horizontally placed modules together.
Fabricated limiting-reinforced steel-wood frosted sleeve composite joint
A fabricated limiting-reinforced steel-wood frosted sleeve composite joint includes a square central column, X-shaped wood beams and a beam-column connecting assembly, wherein the beam-column connecting assembly is fixedly disposed around an outer side of the square central column, and the X-shaped wood beams are located on an outer side of the beam-column connecting assembly and are fixedly connected with the beam-column connecting assembly. The square central column comprises a frosted wood column, a frosted steel sleeve, a frosted wood sleeve shell, a Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) layer and central column frosted steel covers, wherein a first central hole penetrating through the frosted wood column is formed in the center of the frosted wood column in a lengthwise direction, a prestressed steel strand penetrates through the first central hole, the frosted steel sleeve is of a hollow tetrahedral structure and is fixedly disposed around an outer side of the frosted wood column.
BUILDING CONSTRUCTION METHOD
A building construction method uses wall frames having a moveable top track. The track is fixed in a raised position so as to be load-bearing during construction, allowing construction work to progress quickly. When supporting concrete columns have cured, the fixing can be released allowing the track to move into a lowered position and for the building load to transfer to the columns.
