Building core and kit for assembly
A column assembly has an elongated tubular member. A wall end assembly has an elongated tubular member. A flexible interface connects the column assembly to the wall end assembly. The flexible interface includes a spring pack assembly having a disc spring, an elongated male fastening member, a female fastening member, and an absorbing layer. The male fastening member extends through the spring pack hole into the female fastening member to connect the column assembly to the wall end assembly with the female fastening member and to hold the male fastening member in place.
Thermally broken framing system and method of use
A thermally broken framing system and method of use are disclosed. The thermal framing system is comprised generally of a structural apparatus, exterior retention framing and a fastener system comprised of thermal spacer material, and structural fasteners. A structural component, such as a T-shaped member with a structural tab may lie flatly against a wall while providing a thermal break. The structural tab is further comprised of apertures located at regular intervals. The exterior retention framing is comprised generally of a retention face represented as and two framing tabs attached to a retention face. The framing tabs have framing tab apertures placed at regular intervals from each other to match the spacing of the structural tab apertures. The structural tab apertures and framing tab apertures are aligned and thermally insulated fastening units placed through the apertures, securing the system.
Ribbed spine stud with variable web
A method of manufacturing a metal stud from a sheet of cold rolled steel includes the steps of: forming a central spine along a longitudinal centre of the sheet; forcing material outwardly from the central spine to form a thin central zone having a reduced thickness; forming embossments in at least the thin central zone; and forming the sheet into a generally C-shaped member. A stud made from a sheet of cold rolled steel includes a web and a pair of flanges. The web has an elongate central spine, a thin central zone and embossments extending outwardly from the elongate central spine. The pair of flanges extend generally orthogonally from the web. A stud system includes at least two studs and a bridging member extending between adjacent studs.
Post and Beam System
A framing system for constructing at least a portion of a building. The framing system comprising beams, cross beams, corner posts, and inline posts. The beams including flanges and a wall arranged between the flanges. The cross beams including a flange and a wall attached to the flange. The corner posts including walls and flanges. The inline posts including flanges and a wall arranged between the flanges. The flanges include slots and the walls include open areas. Panels may attach to the slots. Decorative patterns may be integrally formed in the open areas.
SPACER BRACES FOR WALLS, JOISTS & TRUSSES
The present invention relates to using interlocking spacer braces between support members to construct wood and metal framed walls, floors and building trusses. Spacer braces have indentations, extensions, fingers that interlock horizontally, vertically or diagonally between support members. The spacer braces can form diagonal and lateral wall bracing, diagonal and vertical chords within building truss with either horizontally or vertical orientations, beams, hold-downs and shear walls. The spacer braces can be installed between wood or metal framing members.
METAL FRAMING SELF-LOCKING CONNECTORS
The present invention relates to metal framed wall components with self-locking fixed and sliding connections between support members and crossing connecting members without using fasteners to connect the two crossing metal framing members together. Different variations of the shapes of the connecting members as well as the location and shape of the notches, ledges, tabs and notched-tabs are used between the members at the holes, punch-outs or indentations all determine the self-locking connections.
The structural tab apertures and framing tab apertures are aligned and thermally insulated fastening ants placed through the apertures, securing the system.
Sub-floor brace for abating squeaking floors
The sub-floor brace for abating squeaking floors is a structural element that is configured for use with a supported flooring. The sub-floor brace for abating squeaking floors supports the supported flooring from the ceiling side of the supported flooring. The sub-floor brace for abating squeaking floors supplements the load carrying capacity of the joists that are supporting the supported flooring by creating a load path from the supported flooring to a supporting flooring located in an inferior location to the supported flooring. The supplemental load paths created by the sub-floor brace for abating squeaking floors reduce the squeaking noise commonly associated with aging floors. The sub-floor brace for abating squeaking floors is a telescopic structure that comprises a first support, a second support, and a fastener. The fastener attaches the first support to the second support.
Beam-column connection structure
The subject disclosure is related to a beam-column connection structure, comprising a first H-shaped steel beam, a second H-shaped steel beam generally perpendicularly connected to a side of the first H-shaped steel beam, and a third H-shaped steel beam generally perpendicularly connected to another side of the first H-shaped steel beam wherein a main stirrup penetrates these H-shaped steel beams and surrounds the joints thereof.
