Monolithic acoustical system
A composite structure for improving the acoustical properties of a low NRC membrane including a sound absorbing layer and a porous, scrim covered, perforated drywall layer.
Acoustic and insulation mounting
A mounting for acoustically insulating a first building component from a second building component, said mounting having a first insulating portion extending around a fastener, a second insulating portion extending around said fastener, a neck insulating portion extending between said first insulating portion and said second insulating portion, such that a shaft of the fastener is covered by one or more of the insulating portions between the first building component and the second building component.
Stud connection structure for noise reducing wall
A noise reducing wall system is provided. The noise reducing wall system includes first and second board layers facing in parallel with each other along a longitudinal direction thereof, a heat insulation member surrounded by the first and second board layers, and a stud connection structure that fastens the first and second board layers using a stud bolt passing through the heat insulation member to connect the first board layer and the second board layer. The stud bolt connects the first and second board layers in a thickness direction and has a bent portion extending in the longitudinal direction and disposed at an intermediate point in the thickness direction.
SOUND BARRIER
A sound barrier includes panels comprising a polymeric material and reinforcing inserts encased within the polymeric material; and a frame comprising posts positioned in spaced, parallel relationship and extending vertically upward, and defining inwardly-facing slots for receiving the panels. The panels are mounted lengthwise with ends within the slots and adjacent panels engage each other by tongues and grooves of lateral surfaces. Methods of making the sound barrier are provided.
ACOUSTIC BAFFLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM
A clip and a frame element are provided that facilitate multiple connection options for a vertically-mounted acoustic baffle in a single system. Kits comprising the clip, frame element and an acoustic baffle are also provided.
Noise reduction apparatus and method of making and using the same
A noise reduction apparatus can include a frame and multiple spaced apart panels positioned adjacent to each other. Each of the panels or only one of the spaced apart panel elements may have holes therein to receive acoustic waves for absorbing the waves between the panels. The panels can be attached to a frame or other connection structure so that the arrangement of panels can be hung over a work space or positioned in a work space (e.g. in a wall, formed as a partition or wall, included as part of shelving, etc.). The panels can also be incorporated into a light fixture that may hang from a ceiling or be attached to some other type of support (e.g. a table, a base, etc.). The panels can be composed of glass, wood, or other type of material.
Acoustic dampening fire stop
A sound control firestop device. It has a horizontal pad portion made from an elastomeric or fibrous material with a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the horizontal pad portion having a length and a width; and a vertical projection spacer portion projecting outwardly from the second surface, wherein the vertical projection portion extends across at least a portion of the width of the horizontal pad portion. A method of installation thereof.
Personal pod system
A personal pod system includes panels, each panel extending from a first side to a second side, each having a solid filler panel engaged with a flanking panel; the of panels are to secure together to create an interior area; a first connection to connect two of the plurality of panels together, the first connection having a mullion having an L-shape and engaged with a flanking frame of a first panel; one or more bolts to secure the mullion to the flanking frame; the flanking frame having a protrusion to extend over a front surface of the solid filler panel; an interior layer of acoustic material secured to the interior area of the panels; and a door engaged with the panels to provide access to the interior area; the connection is to provide a seamless appearance on an exterior of the personal pod system.
Precursors for impaling clips and impaling clips formed therefrom for mounting acoustic panels onto structural components
A precursor to form an impaling clip, and an impaling clip formed therefrom. The impaling clip is configured for mounting an acoustic panel on a structural component, e.g., a wall stud, of a building. The impaling clip includes a base member from which a pair of prongs project upward perpendicular to the plane of the base member. The base member includes at least one hole for receipt of a fastener, e.g., a screw, to fixedly secure the base member of the clip to the structural component. Each prong includes a leg portion terminating in pointed head and outwardly projecting under-cut barbs configured to pierce through the back surface of the panel to lock the prong within the panel so that it is resistant to removal.
