Construction system with crossed structural boards

A construction system includes a set of constituent elements, at least one of which includes at least two superimposed folds each including at least two wooden structural boards. In this system, at least two constituent elements are fixed together by a non-adhesive fixing device and at least two adjacent folds are held against each other by non-adhesive holding device. The faces in contact with two structural boards are at least partially provided, at their contact interface, with a set of grooved patterns arranged so as to prevent the structural boards from sliding one relative to the other along at least one first immobilisation axis. A method for manufacturing such a construction system is also disclosed.

Integral composite shuttering panel and monolithic wall building system

A composite wall panel having a front surface, a rear surface, and side surfaces extending therebetween is provided. The panel includes a cured composition of pieces of cellulose and/or chaff and at least one binder. A wall assembly is also provided. The assembly includes: a frame including a plurality of linearly arranged elongated studs having a top end, a bottom end, and a first longitudinal side and a second longitudinal side extending between the respective ends; a plurality of interconnected wall panels mounted to the first side of the elongated studs of the frame to form a first wall portion; a plurality of interconnected panels mounted to the second side of the elongated studs to form a second wall portion; and an insulating layer inserted within a cavity between the first wall portion and the second wall portion.

A bearing wall partitions into a plurality of openings and in a vertical direction between adjacent column members by bridging a beam member that serves as a window sill between intermediate portions of the adjacent column members in a framework. Both end portions of the beam member are tied to intermediate portions of the adjacent column members via metal joints. A window is installed in the upper opening, and a peripheral end portion of the structural plywood is fixed to the lower opening with a nail. The structural plywood is fixed with nails at a rough nail pitch.

Open and closed cell polyurea foams

An open cell spray polyurea foam for use in an insulation layer in a wall structure may include a polyurea. The polyurea may be a reaction product of an isocyanate compound and water. The open spray polyurea foam may also include a filler. The majority of the filler may exist in the spray foam formulation as an unreacted first fire retardant. The spray foam formulation may further comprise a second fire retardant, and the insulation layer may exhibit a fire retardancy sufficient to pass Appendix X and/or ASTM E-84.

AUTOMATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FLOOR AND CEILING UNITS IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF MODULAR BUILDING UNITS

A system and method for assembling framing assemblies for use as ceiling or floor structures of modular building units using automation are disclosed. The framing assemblies include trusses that are attached at the lateral edges thereof by a joist including at least one layer of dimensional lumber to form a substantially rigid framework. Cover panels are positioned over and attached to an inner surface of the framing assembly.

A shear transfer system is provided. In the system a shear tie strap is attached to a first framing member, a second framing member, a third framing member, a fourth framing member, and a fifth framing member of a frame in a framed building. The second, third, fourth, and fifth framing members are orthogonal or oblique to the first framing member. More than one shear tie strap may be present in the framed building.

STRUCTURAL INSULATED SHEATHING PANEL AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

Structural insulated wall and roof sheathing systems for use in building construction designed to provide a structural building envelope that is moisture permeable but protects from bulk water, excess air, and thermal transfer.

Integrated joint sealing system
11739522 · 2023-08-29 · ·

An integrated joint sealing system that is incorporated into the edges of a sheathing panel, which also may have a factory bonded weather resistive barrier. The edges of each panel are configured as a shiplap joint, or similarly functioning joint, that is present as either an overlap or underlap on each of the four panel edges. The arrangement of the joints are such that one edge will have an overlap and the opposite edge will have an underlap. A flexible gasket material (or materials) is factory applied to one or both sides (underlap and/or overlap) of the shiplap joint. This flexible gasket material, when overlapped with adjacent shiplap panels, provides a weather resistive seal to limit both water and air penetration.

Drain assembly including moisture transportation feature

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a drain assembly that incudes first and second plates, moisture inlet and outlet, a flexible sheet disposed between the first and second plates and extending between the moisture inlet and outlet. The flexible sheet is configured to wick moisture. The drain assembly is configured to position in an opening in a building envelope assembly, seal between the moisture inlet and the moisture outlet adjacent the flexible sheet, and transport moisture from the moisture inlet to the moisture outlet to transport moisture from an interior side of an envelope penetrating component positioned within the opening to an exterior side of a water separation plane.
