Gap cover apparatus for modular wall systems and installation methods
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to modular wall systems and methods of installing modular wall systems in hygienic environments. In one aspect, gap cover apparatus are disclosed. In one aspect, backplate arrangements are disclosed. In one aspect, non-progressive installation methods are disclosed. The modular wall systems can eliminate protruding ledges while maintaining structural integrity and hygienic properties.
CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS
A construction element is provided for forming a corner of a surface of a building, the surface including wall panels attached to framing studs. The construction element includes: a corner-forming surface that that is shaped to extend, in a cross-sectional view, between two separate wall panels, such that ends of the corner-forming surface, as viewed in the cross-sectional view, substantially match respective corners of the wall panels. The construction element may be provided in multiple sections that are placed end to end and connected together.
INTERLOCKING SPACER BRACES
Spacing bracing members connect to support members through the hole in the support members by using the notches in the spacing bracing member to intersect the hole side edges. The spacing bracing members can pass through the hole having a hook finger end without extending past the support member. Spacing bracing members overlap at the hole in the support member with the notches from the spacing bracing members engaging the hole side edges. The shape and size of the spacing bracing member can vary depending on the shape of the hole and the location and shape of the notches.
Partition wall
A fire-resistant partition wall includes wall studs and first and second walls each including gypsum boards with vertical and lateral joints. The wall studs are on the back side of the vertical joints. A joint base member is provided at the lateral joints. The gypsum boards, the joint base member, and the wall studs are not screwed with a common screw, and (a) the gypsum boards are screwed to only the wall studs and are not screwed to the joint base member, and the joint base member is fixed to the lateral joint position by being inserted between the gypsum boards and the wall studs, or (b) the gypsum boards are screwed to the wall studs and to the joint base member with different screws, and the joint base member is fixed to the lateral joint position by being inserted between the gypsum boards and the wall studs.
MODULAR WALL UNITS HAVING FRONT PANELS WITH AESTHETIC DESIGNS COVERING A WINDOW FOR MODULAR WALL SYSTEMS
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to modular wall systems, modular wall units, and methods of installing modular wall systems for indoor environments such as medical treatment environments. In one implementation, a first outer panel and a second outer panel are spaced apart from each other to form a window, and a front panel is attached to front surfaces of the first and second outer panels. The front panel is formed of a polymeric material or a composite material, and the front panel includes an aesthetic design thereon.
SPACER FOR INTERCONNECTING ADJACENT ELONGATED MEMBERS, A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND A METHOD AND A USE OF SAID SPACER
A spacer for interconnecting in a frame structure, adjacent elongated members. Said spacer comprises: a main member having opposite ends, at least one first attachment plate, and a at least one second attachment plate, the at least one first attachment plate being adapted to be secured to one of the opposite ends of the main member, and the at least one second attachment plate being adapted to be secured to the other of the opposite ends, wherein the at least one first attachment plate is adapted to cooperate with at least one fastener for fastening the same to one of the adjacent elongated members, wherein the at least one second attachment plate is adapted to cooperate with at least one fastener for fastening the same to the other of the adjacent elongated members, wherein the main member has a length and a width, the length corresponding to a distance separating the adjacent elongated members, the width being close to the width of the adjacent elongated members, wherein the main member is further provided with at least one portion comprising an opening obstructed by a corresponding removable element fastened to the main member by at least one breakable member, and wherein when the at least one breakable member is broken, the element is removed to give access to the opening. Also, a method for manufacturing the spacer, a method of use of said spacer and a use of said spacer.
FIRE-RATED JOINT COMPONENT AND WALL ASSEMBLY
A fire-rated component for a fire-rated joint, such as a head-of-wall assembly, includes an elongate body having at least a first layer, which can be in the form of a polymer profile. A second layer can be or include a foil lining and a third layer can be or include an intumescent material. The elongate body, such as the first layer, defines an air gap. The foil lining and/or the intumescent material can be positioned within the air gap. A planar lower portion of the first layer of the elongate body is positioned between a header track and a wallboard in the fire-rated joint. A non-planar upper portion of the first layer of the elongate body is positioned at least partially within a deflection gap of the wall assembly and sealingly engages the ceiling.
DROP-IN CEILING WALL SYSTEM
A system and method for building a solid wall with a drop-in ceiling includes a floor track to be secured on a base floor. A support structure of studs is to be secured to the floor track. Cornice rails are to be placed on top of the studs. Splice plates are to connect ends of the cornice rails together. A top cladding is to be installed to at least a portion of the studs at a fixed distance below the top of the studs. The top cladding is to be installed prior to the cornice rails being secured to the top of the studs. Ceiling mounts are to be installed on top of the cladding in a manner that provides equal spacing reveals between the ceiling mounts and the cladding. Splice plates are to connect ends of the ceiling mounts together. A secondary cladding is to be installed to the studs. To complete the wall system, a drop-in ceiling is secured on top of the ceiling mounts.
AREA SEPARATION FIREWALL SYSTEM
A firewall includes wallboard arranged in three or more layers. The wallboard may include gypsum, fiber glass, and/or vermiculite. The firewall may be reinforced with fasteners, such as laminating screws, affixing the layers of wallboard to one another. The firewall may be incorporated into an area separation wall such that the area separation wall satisfies the standards of ASTM E119 or UL 263.
MULTI-PLANE CONNECTOR BRACKET
The present invention relates to a metal framing bracket secured between support members or secured to a single support member having lips with notches engaging the aperture of support members allowing additional bracing members to overlap the brackets or channel shapes by increasing or decreasing the bracket size and shape of the bracket.
