BUILDING BOARD AND METHOD OF FORMING THE BUILDING BOARD

A building board including a cementitious layer between two fiber mats. At least one fiber mat forms with a polymer film a fiber mat/polymer film laminate. The cementitious layer of the building board contains a reactive water-insoluble polymer which improves binding of the fiber mat/polymer film laminate to the cementitious layer. The building board has a low water absorption and a high level surface finish.

A composite wall, ceiling or floor panel (10), system and method, including a sheet (14) having a first face (18) including at least one first mounting portion (16), and at least one formwork member (20) with at least one second mounting portion (30) arranged to engage with the first mounting portion of the sheet to retain the sheet and said at least one formwork member together. Structural support comes from piers (for a wall) or beams (ceiling or floor) formed in the spacing between adjacent formwork members. The formwork members act as the core of a wall, ceiling or floor panel. An external coating (123) is applied to the formwork members, such as spray shotcrete or render. Channels (28) formed by the formwork members defines integrated ducting for services to be run.

Structural OSB panels with integrated rainscreen
11454024 · 2022-09-27 · ·

A plurality of rainscreen elements or features that are applied to the front or outer face of a structural panel or the weather resistant barrier layer on the structural panel. When an exterior cladding or sheathing product is installed over the structural panel, the rainscreen elements or features provide built-in water flow gaps or channels to facilitate and increase water drainage off the face of the structural panel, thereby minimizing water storage in the space between the structural panel and the outer cladding/sheathing. The rainscreen features are incorporated into the structural panel in-line or during the manufacturing process, and do not require any further work during assembly or construction on-site.

A reinforced water-resistant board includes a cover board with a reinforced water-resistant membrane applied to a surface of the cover board. The reinforced water-resistant membrane includes a primer layer, a reinforced membrane, a traffic coat, and a sealing layer. The primer layer is applied over the surface of the cover board. The reinforced membrane includes fleece soaked in a liquid resin and is applied over the primer layer. The traffic coat is boned to the reinforced member. The sealing layer is applied over the traffic coat.

Integrated waterproofing and drainage system with intrinsic leak detection

A complete decreased mistake-proof high-reliability waterproofing system is revealed that integrates the waterproofing membrane, drain panel, and abrasion-protected filter fabric, using a factory-controlled process; furthermore, the system incorporates intrinsic devices for installation verification and leak-detection, and the potential for in situ mapping of the functional topography of the waterproofing installation over time.

Insulation-Retaining Sheet Having Integral Vapor-Retarding Membrane

The present disclosure relates generally to an insulation-retaining sheet, e.g., for blown-in insulation, that includes an integral vapor-retarding membrane. In one aspect, the disclosure provides an insulation-retaining sheet including a sheet of mesh having an air permeability of at least 200 cfm per square foot; and one or more strips of vapor-retarding membrane, the one or more strips of vapor-retarding membrane being laminated to the sheet of mesh, the first side edge each of the strips of vapor-retarding membrane extending to the first side edge of the sheet of mesh, the second side edge each of the strips of vapor-retarding membrane extending to the second side edge of the sheet of mesh, wherein the insulation-retaining sheet has a plurality of open zones extending laterally from the first side edge of the sheet of mesh to the second side edge of the sheet of mesh in which no vapor-retarding membrane is laminated to the mesh.

WARP RESISTANT PANELS

A composite wood prefabricated wall panel configured for reduced moisture absorption includes a composite wood panel body, one or more connection components, and a priming layer. The composite wood panel body includes a front face, a rear face, and at least one edge. The one or more connection components are affixed to the rear face or the at least one edge, and the one or more connection components are configured to secure the composite wood prefabricated wall panel to one or more structural members of a prefabricated wall system. The priming layer is disposed over one or more surfaces of the composite wood panel body.

STRUCTURAL FIRE- AND WATER-RESISTANT PANELS, AND MANUFACTURING METHODS THEREFOR

A core/base layer, an intermediate layer, a divider layer between the core and intermediate layers, and a water-resistant layer on the intermediate layer opposite the core layer. The core and intermediate layers are made of a cementitious material to provide structural-strength and fire-resistance properties, with the core layer including an aggregate material for added strength, the intermediate layer including an hydrophobic additive for water resistance, and the divider layer positioned between the core and intermediate layers to form a physical barrier that prevents cross-migration of the aggregate material and the hydrophobic additive between these layers. The water-resistant layer includes a fiber-based carrier layer with an outward-facing surface having a weather barrier layer secured to it and with an opposite uncoated inward-facing surface having loose fiber strands extending from it and embedded into the intermediate layer to secure the water-resistant layer to the intermediate layer.

A composite skinned panel is disclosed which uses, in some embodiments, a combination of cementitious, insulative and ablative core materials to provide a building panel which can effectively meet a variety of different commercial, residential and marine fire codes. For example, one such fire test is an A60 fire rating (International Marine Organization (IMO) A60 Class A Bulkhead), which establishes that the panel provide 60 minutes of protection from a front side temperature of 1750° F. without raising the internal temperature more than 250° F.

Hybrid insulating panel, frame, and enclosure

An enclosure for use as a walk-in freezer or refrigerator includes a first panel and a second panel connected to the first panel. Each of the first and second panels includes a body having a frame coupled to the body. The frame includes a beam of a first material and a jacket of a second material at least partially enclosing the beam. An interior edge of the frame is adjacent to the body. An exterior edge is defined by the jacket and defines a joint member. The joint member of the first panel defines a groove, and the joint member of the second panel defines a protrusion adapted to engage the groove of the joint member of the first panel. At least one joint member includes a deformable portion that compresses when the joint member of the first panel engages with the joint member of the second panel.
