MEDICAL DEVICES WITH CAMERA AND METHODS OF PLACEMENT
The present invention provides medical devices comprising a camera combined with a second device selected from an endotracheal tube, oral airway, supraglottic airway, tracheostomy tube, suction catheter, tubeless intubating device, tool tube and/or stylet. The present invention also provides methods for rapid and accurate placement of a medical device in a patient with a guidance of a bougie and continuous real-time monitoring, including a remote monitoring, of the patient after the placement.
TRACHEOSTOMA DEVICE HOLDER
A tracheostoma device holder for holding a tracheostoma device superimposed of a tracheostoma of a person. The tracheostoma device holder may include a plate and a tracheostoma device fitting. The plate may be configured for attachment over a tracheostoma via a proximal side thereof. The plate may include a through hole. The tracheostoma device fitting may include a through passage arranged superimposed the through hole. The tracheostoma device fitting may extend distally from the plate. The plate may further include a disc of a thermoplastic material and a plate material arranged at least laterally of the disc. The plate material may have a melting point different from a melting point of the disc.
SINGLE STAGE, AXIAL SYMMETRIC BLOWER AND PORTABLE VENTILATOR
A blower includes a housing including a proximal opening and a distal opening that are co-axially aligned, a stator component provided to the housing, an impeller positioned between the proximal opening of the housing and the stator component, and a motor adapted to drive the impeller. The impeller includes a plurality of impeller blades. The stator component includes a plurality of air directing grooves along its exterior surface. The leading edge of the air directing grooves extend tangentially outwards from the outer tips of the impeller blades and are configured to collect the air exiting the impeller blades and direct it from a generally tangential direction to a generally radial direction by dividing the air from the impeller and directing the air along a curved path towards the distal opening so that airflow becomes substantially laminar.
Cover for a housing of a moisture-heat exchanger
The invention relates to a cover for a housing of a moisture-heat exchanger for laryngectomized and tracheostomized patients, comprising a cover edge and a number of recesses passing through the cover.
AEROSOL DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD
An aerosol delivery system that includes an aerosol generator that aerosolizes a fluid for delivery to a patient as a patient inhales. The aerosol delivery system includes a pump coupled to the aerosol generator that pumps the fluid to the aerosol generator, and a breath sensor that emits a signal as the patient breathes. A controller couples to the aerosol generator, the pump, and the breath sensor. In operation, the controller receives the signal from the breath sensor, controls a flow of fluid to the aerosol generator in response to the signal, and controls the aerosol generator to start aerosolizing the fluid before the patient inhales.
Gum elastic bougie introducer with tactile depth and orientation indicator
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for intubation where indicators of a bougie's axial orientation and insertion depth into the trachea are not visible. In particular, a bougie having one or more tactile indicators of axial orientation and/or depth of insertion are disclosed. The tactile indicators can include finger grooves and/or a ridge to name two examples.
PUNCTURE CRICOTHYROTOMY SET
A puncture cricothyrotomy set includes a tracheal tube and a puncture cannula arranged therein, which has a rotary actuating device with a handle. By moving the handle about its rotational axis, the puncture cannula can be moved from its puncture position into the tracheal tube far enough that the tip section is arranged completely within the tracheal tube.
FILTERED RESPIRATION
The present invention is directed to filtered respiration that can occur according to multiple facets. The present invention includes a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (“CPAP”) system, an adapter, and a CPAP interface. Other inventions disclosed herein relate to the modification of CPAP and BILEVEL-PAP systems into ventilators.
CATHETER MOUNT WITH SUCTION PORT
A catheter mount is configured to be attached to a respiratory apparatus. The catheter mount includes a plurality of ports in fluid communication with each other. The plurality of ports include an interface port configured to connect to an interface tube, a conduit port configured to connect to a conduit tube, and at least one suction port configured to allow insertion of a suction catheter. The at least one suction port can be positioned to allow the suction catheter, when inserted, access to both the interface port and conduit port.
Compressible connector for an inner cannula
A tracheal tube assembly includes an outer cannula configured to be positioned in a patient airway and an inner cannula configured to be disposed inside the outer cannula. The tracheal tube assembly further includes a flange member secured about the outer cannula, and an outer cannula connector coupled to a proximal end of the outer cannula. The inner cannula includes a compressible proximal end region that is compressed while secured inside the outer cannula connector.
