Connector System for Container-Based Structures
20210381219 · 2021-12-09 ·

A building technique uses standard shipping containers as buttresses to support a truss system that may extend between the shipping containers to provide a roof. A sliding connector system attaches the trusses to the shipping containers to accommodate variations in separation of the shipping containers presenting a versatile framing system that is insensitive to site-related variations. The sliding connector system provides incremental predetermined fastening of the trusses to the shipping containers.

20220205429 · 2022-06-30 ·

A nacelle of a wind turbine is disclosed. The nacelle comprises a rear frame structure (1) comprising a plurality of truss assemblies (2) being connected to each other at connecting regions (3). At least one of the truss assemblies (2) comprises at least one beam structure (4), the beam structure (4) comprising at 5 least a first beam member (5) and a second beam member (6) being arranged substantially in parallel to each other, thereby defining a longitudinal direction of the beam structure (4). 20220195714 · 2022-06-23 ·

A method, assembly and system of assembling and disassembling a shelter is provided. The method provided is configured to assemble a modular shelter in a hard to access location without heavy machinery. The assembly comprises a plurality of shipping modules having truss systems composed of beams and columns. The trusses may be connected to other trusses with the help of joint nodes. The truss system may be extended for sliding columns, may be connected to varying other trusses with varying joint nodes and may comprise connecting elements for angled connections. The assembly and the truss system are modular in that a plurality of the beams, columns and joint nodes may be removable.

Leg-carriage type trusses
11359374 · 2022-06-14 ·

The disclosure relates to “leg carriage” type trusses, which rely for shipping on elevation by a pair of U-shaped wheeled temporary supports, each having two legs connected by a low horizontal member. The upper ends of the legs are inserted in receiving sleeves installed in the four corners of the truss structure. The clearance between the outer dimensions of the leg and the inner dimensions of the sleeve impact the ease with which legs can be inserted and removed, as well as the lateral “play” in the connection between the leg and truss, which impacts its stability in handling and therefore safety. The disclosure addresses the previous conflict between the two objects by the use of asymmetrical clearances. A relatively relaxed tolerance in the elongated axis of the truss eases insertion and removal. A lesser relative tolerance across the axis of the truss width has no significant impact on leg insertion and removal yet improves stability.

TRUSS SECTION CONNECTION REGION

A framework section having a connection region which is formed on the end face of at least one of its two ends. The connection region can be connected to the connection region of a further framework section. The framework section can include two upper chord sections and two lower chord sections, which extend parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction of the framework section and are connected to one another by connecting struts such that they define a cuboid space. The upper chord sections and the lower chord sections can have a tubular cross section, wherein the upper chord sections and the lower chord sections can also be configured to transition from the tubular cross section into an I-shaped cross section in the connection region.

Building structure, building, and building method

A building structure that can be assembled easily with high assembling precision is provided. The building structure of the present invention is a building structure for transmitting a load on a roof to a post, and includes a unit (10) joined to a post (20). The unit includes three or more first beams arranged in parallel in one direction and three or more second beams arranged in parallel in another direction intersecting the one direction. Each first beam and each second beam has a truss structure. In a section where the first beam intersects the second beam, an upper chord of the first beam is disposed on an upper chord of the second beam and is joined to the upper chord of the second beam via a joining member, using a fastener. In the section where the first beam intersects the second beam, a lower chord of the first beam is disposed on a lower chord of the second beam and is joined to the lower chord of the second beam via a joining member, using a fastener.

Fiber Reinforced Polymer Building Systems and Methods

An apparatus comprises a solar panel or solar tile; and a pultrusion fiber reinforced polymer (PFRP) bracket connected to the solar panel or solar tile. The PFRP bracket mounts the solar panel or solar tile on a roof, and is configured to elevate the solar panel or solar tile a sufficient amount above the roof to enable airflow to occur under the solar panel or solar tile. The PFRP material comprises fibers embedded in a resin matrix. Exemplary fibers are glass, carbon, and synthetic fibers. PFRP products can be formed using a pultrusion method that eliminates outgassing. An intumescent fire barrier can be applied to the PFRP to meet National Fire Protection Association fire endurance codes and standards.

VOLUMETRIC MODULAR UNIT FOR MODULAR BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

A volumetric modular unit constructed at a modular unit factory and shipped assembled to a modular building project site is disclosed. A modular building constructed from shipped volumetric modular units is also disclosed. Features of a volumetric modular unit and modular building are designed to account for and leverage traditional building practices. Shipping constraints often dictate volumetric modular unit design constraints. The volumetric modular unit and modular constructed building addresses both design needs and shipping constraints to leverage more economical resources available at a volumetric modular unit manufacturing plant.
