Truss storage and transport apparatus

Truss sections are commonly used at concerts and shows to support displays, camera, sound and lighting equipment. During transport or storage, the truss sections are stacked on top of each other. The apparatus is mountable to a cross member of a truss section. The apparatus comprises depressions on the surface. Longitudinal members (which are perpendicular to said cross member when stacked) of a second truss section can be positioned within the depressions to limit the relative movement between truss sections which are stacked.

A truss structure is suitable for supporting lighting fixtures or other loads both in use and in transport. The truss has at least four elongated chords defining between said chords a first volume generally rectangular in cross-section. In transport, the truss is supported substantially above a surface by castered carriages bearing upon that surface, the carriages connected to said truss and in a first position producing an additional volume between said first volume and said surface. The carriages are attached to the truss so as to permit their rotation between said first position and at least a second position suitable for use while remaining connected to said truss.

DEVICE FOR STRENGTHENING AND RIGGING TRUSSES AND METHOD IN WHICH SUCH DEVICE IS APPLIED

A device for strengthening and/or rigging trusses includes at least two connecting elements, which connect at least two parallel truss pipes of the truss. On these connecting elements an attachment unit provided between at least one pair of truss pipes, to which mounting structures can be attached.

Lattice tower

This invention relates to lattice tower for actuate under high load conditions, more particularly to lattice towers utilized for wind turbines and other applications comprising three metallic legs arranged in a triangular configuration around a vertical axis of the lattice tower, wherein each metallic leg has a closed cross-section profile, a distance between the center of metallic legs in a bottom portion of the tower is greater than 4 meters, an angle of inclination of a central longitudinal axis of each metallic leg in relation to the vertical axis of the tower is between 1.7 degree and +1.7 degrees, and the height of the lattice tower is greater than 60 meters, a plurality of bracing members and auxiliary bracing members and a support platform disposed at a top portion of the tower.

Rotatable connector for trusses

A rotatable connector for use with a truss in accordance with the present disclosure includes a sleeve and a connector end coupled to the sleeve. The sleeve engages with the truss in a fixed orientation. The connector end rotates relative to the truss to allow attachment with another connector of an adjacent truss in a variety of orientations.

TRUSS STRUCTURE

A truss structure may include a plurality of load bearing members, or force members, that are joined at a plurality of nodes to define a load bearing structure. The truss structure may include a plurality of longitudinal members extending in parallel along a longitudinal length of the truss structure, and a plurality of transverse members, joined to the plurality of longitudinal members at nodes, and extending between the plurality of longitudinal members. The plurality of transverse members may provide buckling support to the plurality of longitudinal members, so that an axial load, or compressive load, or buckling load, may be effectively carried by the truss structure.

Multi-purpose building

A dome- or sphere-shaped multipurpose building is disclosed, which is a prefabricated quickly erected structure and can be used for erecting the buildings of various functional purpose, of different number of floors, both heated and unheated, including residential buildings, cottages, industrial, administrative, sport, temporary portable buildings, arch structure. Technical result of the claimed invention is to reduce the material consumption, installation time, increase the strength and stability of the building, including under conditions of asymmetrical and dynamic loads, and to increase energy efficiency and translucence of the building. The multipurpose dome-shaped building comprises a bearing frame made in the form of at least three pyramidal volumetric trusses arranged symmetrically with respect to the base center and rigidly connected to each other in the upper part by at least one horizontal beam, and wherein the volumetric trusses are arranged in such a way that the horizontal distance between closest posts of neighboring volumetric trusses remains the same over the entire height from the base and up to the top of the neighboring trusses.

A length-adjustable truss stiffener is intended to be used to strengthen truss systems at locations of localized over-stress to reduce the cost from the alternative solution which is to reduce truss spacings. The stiffener consists of two or more sleeves locking around two or more components of the main truss. The sleeves mounted on different truss components are connected to one another with a length-adjustable shank. The stiffener may be used in two-dimensional or three-dimensional trusses. Of a collection of prefabricated trusses necessary to erect a structure, only a subset of one or more trusses are customized with stiffeners according to loading calculations predicting failure of that subset under required loading conditions, while all other trusses are installed in their original prefabricated state.

Leg carriage type trusses

A truss structure is suitable for supporting lighting fixtures is provided which employs wheeled leg carriages to support such trusses during transport. Each leg carriage has two legs, one extending vertically from each end of an elongated crossmember. A caster is attached proximate to the bottom of each leg. The top of each leg can be inserted in a tube fixed in a corner of the truss, elevating the truss so as to produce a volume below the truss structure into which lighting fixtures and other loads can safely project during transport. The ground clearance produced is determined by the amount that the leg is inserted in the tube and an improvement allows the retention of a mechanical stop in the tube that determines the amount of insertion allowed. Stiffeners used to brace two leg carriages, one to the other, are provided with features that allow their use in forming a cart for storing leg carriages not in use.
