FLEXIBLE DOWNSPOUT EXTENSION ASSEMBLY
A downspout extension assembly includes an elbow having a first tubular body, an inlet and an outlet, the outlet at an angle of less than 180 degrees relative to the inlet, and a pair of connectors integrally formed with the first tubular body, positioned on opposite sides of the elbow's outlet. A downspout extension comprises a second tubular body having first and second ends. The first end includes a cutout in an upper wall of the second tubular body and a pair of apertures corresponding to the elbow's connectors. The elbow and the downspout extension are each manufactured of a semi-rigid, resilient material. The downspout extension is releasably mounted to the elbow by inserting a free end of each elbow connector through a corresponding aperture of the downspout extension to rotatably mount the downspout extension to the elbow. The downspout extension rotates between a storage position and a deployed position.
Roof runoff water control system
Roof runoff water control systems for a building with gutters and a downspout and buildings without gutters. Both systems employ a swale in the ground that is lined with rock filled bags that are opened and laid overlapped end-to-end. For the downspout, a closed bag filled with rock is placed under the downspout with open bags filled with rock laid overlapped end-to-end in the swale and overlapped downstream from the closed bag. For a building without gutters and having a drip line in the ground, open bags filled with rock are laid overlapped end-to-end in the swale. The swale and the open bags are aligned with the drip line.
Silicone rubber universal fit flexible tree trunk guard
A universal fit flexible tree trunk guard fabricated from a medium to high density silicone rubber material for protecting the trunk of a tree or an ornamental shrub from strikes from lawn care equipment or from interactions with wildlife. A plurality of hole members are provided along the upper and lower edges of the trunk guard. This rectangular sheet can then be wrapped around the trunk, the diameter of the thus-formed cylinder adjusted to fit the tree or ornamental shrub to be protected. Mechanical fastening means can then be used, at registering hole members, to secure the trunk guard in a cylindrical form. Additionally, the interior surface, i.e. the surface that is facing the trunk of the tree or ornamental shrub, can be provided with a plurality of spaced bosses that maintain an air space between the surface of the tree trunk and the trunk guard.
RAINWATER RESERVOIR
An insert (400) for a rainwater downpipe (300) is fluidly coupled between a first section (310) and a second section (320) of the rainwater downpipe (300). A rainwater reservoir (500) is defined within the insert (400) to store the rainwater received from the first section (310) therein. The rainwater reservoir (500) includes a side surface (510), a bottom surface (520) and an outlet opening (522) fluidly coupled to the second section (320). A valve element (530) is disposed within the rainwater reservoir (500) to allow or deny the passage of the stored rainwater in the rainwater reservoir (500) through the outlet opening (522). The insert (400) is characterized in that the side surface (510) of the rainwater reservoir (500) further defines a rainwater harvesting opening (549) adapted to allow access to the rainwater stored in the rainwater reservoir (500).
LIQUID FLOW DIVERTER
A liquid flow diverter (130) for a downpipe (120) includes a body (132). The body (132) includes a channel profile (136) between a first end (131) and a second end (133). The channel profile (136) includes a helix shape and allows flow of a liquid therein. The body (132) further includes a liquid outlet (139) associated with the first end (131). The liquid outlet (139) allows fluid communication of the liquid flow diverter (130) with the downpipe (120). The liquid flow diverter (130) is characterized in that the body (132) is made of a partly rigid material with the helix shaped channel profile (136) having a lead (L) of at least a height (H) of the channel profile (136) at its first end (131).
Downspout adapter
A downspout adapter includes a first part. The first part includes a mouth portion and a hollow structure extending from the mouth portion. The hollow structure includes at least one ratchet member and at least one recessed portion. The downspout adapter includes a second part configured for receiving the hollow structure therein. The second part includes at least one protruding member configured to removably engage with a corresponding recessed portion of the at least one recessed portion while the hollow structure is inserted within the second part. The second part includes at least one engaging member including an engaging end configured to selectively engage with a plurality of teeth of the at least one ratchet member while the hollow structure of the first part is inserted within the second part, thereby detachably coupling the second part with the first part.
Drainage junction shield
A drainage junction shield is disclosed that provides protection for the lower portion of a storm water downspout and its intersection with an adapter and drainpipe. Protection is provided against string trimmers and edgers and other impacting implements in a landscape environment. A shielded adapter chamber has perimeter flanges for pinning to a soil surface. The adapter chamber encloses the intersection of the drainpipe, adapter, and downspout as against a wall. A shielded downspout chamber extends above the adapter chamber and converges to an extension access that receives and encloses the lower end of a downspout.
PIVOTABLE DOWNSPOUT EXTENSION SYSTEM
A pivotable downspout extension system includes an adapter coupleable to a fixed-position downspout, an extension arm pivotally coupled to the adapter, the extension arm having a housing having counterweight apertures, counterweights configured to be received within the counterweight apertures, and a water channel extending from the housing, the water channel forming a pocket where the water channel joins the housing. The water channel remains substantially vertical until water weight exceeds the weight of the counterweights and causes the water channel to pivot and release water.
Articulated downspout extension apparatus
An extension apparatus for rainwater downspouts comprising a multi-piece, articulated extension device that is attachable to the lowermost portion of a rainwater downspout. The apparatus includes a pivotable joint for articulate movement around the joint. The apparatus further includes elastic members on the apparatus side panels to return the apparatus to an original, resting position after articulation.
