ADSORBENT CARTRIDGE WITH ACCURATE VISUAL INDICATOR
20230118894 · 2023-04-20 ·

A cartridge comprising layers of adsorbent sheet is described. The cartridge includes an indicator that characterizes the consumption state of the adsorbent within the cartridge. The indicator is applied in a way such that discrete areas of indicator are visible. These discontinuous areas of indicator may be applied to the outside surface of the cartridge. Alternatively, the discontinuous areas may be formed by cutting windows in the outermost layer of the cartridge and either coating indicator on the layer beneath the window, placing an indicator layer between the window and the layer beneath it or filling the window with an indicating plug of material so that the indicator is visible from the outside of the cartridge. The indicator layer and indicator plug embodiments allow the use of any indicator with any adsorbent.

FLUID BLENDING DEVICES

Methods and devices for blending of fluids are disclosed. A fluid blender has a fluid inlet to receive a fluid, a nozzle with a convergent shape tapering down towards a nozzle end, a mixing chamber with holes arranged on a wall, and a mixture outlet having a divergent shape. In some aspects, a rotary sleeve is externally placed around the wall. The rotary sleeve has slits with a variable shape along its lateral extension. In other aspects the fluid blender has inlet tubes with check valves and a blending tube. An inlet tube has an adjustable orifice to adjust flow inside the blender.

RESPIRATORY THERAPY APPARATUS WITH REMOVABLE CONNECTIVITY MODULE AND COMPONENTS THEREOF

Disclosed are apparatus, systems and devices for providing modular connectivity to a respiratory therapy device. Certain forms relate to an apparatus for supplying a flow of breathable gas at positive pressure for respiratory therapy comprising a pressure generator in a housing, at least one electrical connector to connect to a connectivity module, and a cavity for receiving the connectivity module. Different forms of connectivity module may be provided. This allows for flexibility of connectivity in a respiratory device while allowing for simple installation and removal of the connectivity module.

INHALED AIR FILTRATION AND ENHANCED BREATHING DEVICE

One embodiment of the present invention provides a multifunctional face mask system adapted to receive a nebulizer system, enabling a user to be treated by a nebulizer medication, while simultaneously providing a hygienic barrier between the user and their external environment via at least one filter component. The present invention further provides a multifunctional face mask system that is self-supporting, thereby enabling a user to wear the mask system in a portable manner. The present invention, in other embodiments, includes the bonding between at least one filter component and its corresponding filter window, to be produced by a selective mold behind injection molding process.

Pressure generator inlet filter apparatus

The present disclosure pertains to a therapeutic gas delivery system (8) including a pressure generator inlet apparatus (10) configured to facilitate filtering of gas drawn into the inlet (14) of the pressure generator (16) of the system. The apparatus comprises a body (12) and a support (24). The body is configured to removably engage the inlet of the pressure generator and receive a particulate filter (18). The body forms an orifice (19) configured to conduct gas that has passed through the filter to the pressure generator inlet. The support is coupled to the body at or near the orifice. The support is configured to extend from the body toward the filter and support the filter. The support is configured to resist collapse of the filter into the orifice caused by gas flowing through the filter to the pressure generator inlet.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING A RESPIRATORY DISORDER

An oxygen concentrator 100 apparatus and a method thereof implement operations control to efficiently release oxygen enriched gas to reduce potential waste. The control methodology may include generating a profile such as a minimum inhalation flow profile of the user. The profile may be based on a size parameter of the user. The method may determine one or more control parameters characterizing a bolus of oxygen enriched gas based on the generated flow profile. The control methodology may then generate a bolus release control signal, such as for a supply valve, according to the determined one or more control parameters. The oxygen concentrator may then, with the control signal, release and deliver a bolus of oxygen enriched gas for a user such as for reducing waste.
