FLOTATION MACHINE HAVING PAN SUPPORT STRUCTURE CONFIGURED FOR CONFORMING THE SHAPE OF A FLOAT PAN
A support structure for a float pan for floating a concrete surface provides an interface between the float pan and a rotating machine. The support structure is characterized by a hub configured for concentric attachment to a rotor, and by a plurality of trusses that extend radially from the hub, each providing a planar contact surface. A mounting plate attaches between each planar contact surface and a top surface of the float pan and is radially adjustable along the planar contact surface. A truss beam structure cross-links the trusses together. A. walk-behind or ride-on machine may incorporate the support structure and operate as a dedicated power flotation machine. Under weight of the machine, the planar contact surfaces of the trusses conform the float pan to a desired shape or radius of curvature for optimizing a flotation process.
Concrete surface polishing trowel and conversion adaptor
An adaptor assembly for concrete finishing trowels that enables efficient polishing of concrete surfaces, and trowels equipped with said adaptors. A large, rigid, circular adaptor disk supports a plurality of spaced-apart polishing rotors that project into contact with the concrete surface being treated. Each polishing head is rotatably secured to the adaptor disk with a spindle assembly including suitable alignment bearings. The spindle assembly secures a rigid header beneath the adaptor disk that sandwiches a resilient, annular coupler between itself and a rigid driver plate beneath the coupler. Bosses on the coupler insure spacing and enable proper flexure. The driver plate removably mounts a resilient finishing ring, that supports a plurality of radially spaced apart, downwardly projecting, diamond-equipped pucks that frictionally bear against the concrete surface for abrading and polishing.
EASY-DETACHABLE GRINDING DEVICE FOR CEMENT WALK-BEHIND TROWEL MACHINE
An easy-detachable grinding device for a cement walk-behind trowel machine comprises a plurality of installing units arranged on a seat which is installed with the central disk and the outer rotary disks. In use, it is only needed to buckle the installing units to the grinding knives of a power source of a cement walk-behind trowel machine so that the central disk and the outer rotary disks are assembled to the cement walk behind trowel machine. The original grinding knives are unnecessary to be detached from the cement walk behind trowel machine. Furthermore the grinding device can be detached easily as it is not used, while the original used grinding knives can be used again. No more vehicle is needed. Outer rotary disks are arranged on the periphery of the central disk so as to have a large grinding area.
Battery Powered Hand-Operated Troweling Machine
A battery-powered troweling machine is driven by an electric motor powered by a pair of twenty-four volt batteries coupled in series to drive a planetary gearbox to rotate a trowel blade assembly engageable with the surface of the poured concrete. The controls are carried by a detachable handle that is connectable with a receiver box that traps the handle between interior and exterior stops and uses over center clamps to maintain the handle in proper position within the receiver box. The controls at the rearward distal end of the handle can be used to vary the speed of rotation of the troweling assembly, to adjust the pitch of the individual trowel blades through an actuator and linkage assembly, to initiate actuation of the electric motor and to provide an emergency stop for the operation of the troweling machine.
Autonomous power trowel
An autonomous power trowel includes a frame supported by at least one rotor having a plurality of troweling blades, at least one power source for selectively rotating the rotor to finish an upper surface of the concrete, at least one actuator onboard the frame for selectively tilting the rotor, and a communication system onboard the frame for communicating with at least one remote communication device. Also included are a plurality of sensors onboard the frame for sensing exterior boundaries of the concrete, and at least one inspection camera for viewing the upper surface of the concrete. A controller onboard the frame is configured to selectively operate the power source, to selectively operate the actuator, to receive communications from the remote communication device, to receive signals from the sensors, and to receive signals from the inspection camera to detect any surface blemish in the concrete.
OFFSET MOUNTING ADAPTER FOR CONCRETE SURFACE PROCESSING TOOL
A mounting adapter for mounting a surface processing tool having a rotational or longitudinal axis to at least one spider arm of a rotatable spider assembly of a surface processing apparatus, the spider arm having a leading side and a trailing side as a function of the direction of rotation of the spider assembly. The mounting adapter has a first element for removably attaching the adapter to the spider arm and a second element positioned circumferentially offset behind the first element for positioning the rotational or longitudinal axis of a surface processing tool circumferentially offset behind the trailing side of the spider arm. The first element is an elongate apertured bar and the second element is weld filler material, the bar being connected to said surface processing tool via the weld filler material.
ASSEMBLY FOR IMPROVING PERFORMANCE AND LIFESPAN OF A CONCRETE FINISHING PAN
A reinforcement assembly removably connectable to a pan of a troweling machine having a rotor assembly with corresponding troweling arms each supporting a trowel blade is provided. The reinforcement assembly comprises a reinforcement member; a first connector connectable to the reinforcement member, the first connector being removably connectable to one of the troweling arms; and a second connector connectable to the reinforcement member, the second connector being removably connectable to the pan. In operation, the reinforcement assembly maximizes a distribution of weight of the troweling machine onto a surface of the pan.
Mounting Adapter for Concrete Surface Processing Tools
A mounting adapter for rotatably mounting a tool holding body having first and second surfaces on at least one spider arm of a motor driven rotatable spider assembly of a surface processing apparatus, said mounting adapter comprising: bearing means supported by said second surface; a first aperture extending centrally through said first and second surfaces; a rubber flex pad having a second aperture in vertical registry with and beneath said first aperture; means supporting said rubber flex pad along its periphery and having a third aperture in vertical registry with and beneath said second aperture; an end plug within said third aperture for closing the second aperture, said end plug supporting said flex pad from beneath said third aperture; said rotatable hub of said bearing means including attachment means in the upper portion thereof for facilitating non rotatable attachment to a mounting means adapted for attachment to said spider arm.
