A machine frame with multiple articulated arm segments pivoting within planes substantially parallel to the plane of material deposition are controlled by a controller to move a printhead attached to a material line to convey a construction material to a deposit position for dispensation. The controller is configured to receive 3D printing information and convert it to positional coordinates of the printhead, and to cause movement of the articulated arm segments and support members to position the printhead, while using sensor feedback. Vertical movement of the printhead is facilitated through one or more mechanisms such as elevating the machine platform, elevating the articulating arm segments, and/or the incorporation of a mast on one or more of the arm segments.

A gunite trailer includes a frame operable to be coupled to a vehicle. A compressor is disposed on the frame, a cement bin is coupled to the frame and operable to deliver cement, a sand bin is coupled to the frame and operable to deliver sand, and a mixing bin is coupled to the frame and operable to receive the sand from the sand bin and the cement from the cement bin. A delivery connection is operable to receive the sand and the cement from the mixing bin. The delivery connection is operable to be coupled with a delivery system. The delivery system is operable to combine the sand and the cement with a fluid at a point of application to form gunite. The delivery system is operable to convey the gunite to a surface.

The articulated mast includes two or more mast arms pivotally-movably connected, via articulated joints, with the respectively adjacent mast pedestal or other mast arm by a pivot drive. The control unit is configured to actuate the pivot drive and/or the rotary drive to move the articulated mast with a control sequence from an initial position of the articulated mast, autonomously, into a pre-specified target position of the articulated mast.

Construction 3D printing, although a technology that is expected to provide cost, speed and environmental benefits as compared to the traditional construction practices, suffers from inefficient and often troublesome material delivery by pumping cementitious material through hoses or pipes. The present application addresses the need for a consistent and discrete payload delivery between a source and a moving destination. The invention describes an aerial tram delivery system that provides real-time, on-demand, and discrete transportation of material from a material source to the moving destination printheads of the construction 3D printer. Such discrete delivery of material is applicable and beneficial to other applications as described.

An auto-fill two-layer two-half wear resistant elbow of a concrete pump truck consists of an outer-layer protection elbow, an inner-layer heterogeneous wear resistant combined elbow and a wear resistant connecting flange. A filling space is provided between the outer-layer protection elbow and the inner-layer heterogeneous wear resistant combined elbow. The wear resistant elbow is designed as a two-layer two-half unique structure including a protection layer and a wear resistant layer, wherein the protection layer protects the wear resistant layer from distortion or even damage by external force and distortion or even damage by impact force by internal materials during the transportation, installation and use of the elbow. Upon using the wear resistant elbow for the first time, the concrete grout fills the reserved slit via the heterogenous combined elbow and enters the reserved filling space, allowing the outer-layer protection elbow and the inner-layer heterogeneous wear resistant combined elbow to be fixed as a whole, which may realize the purpose of reducing the weight of the entire elbow, reducing costs, saving materials and increasing service life.

The electronic controller is configured to determine if the plate plane is substantially parallel with the surface plane and actuate the one or more actuators to alter orientation of the base plate to position the base plate such that the plate plane is substantially parallel with the surface plane, if the plate plane is not substantially parallel with the surface plane.
