Smart relaxation mask
11590313 · 2023-02-28 · ·

Aspects of the present disclosure provide a smart relaxation mask configured to output a stimulus and collect biometric information while the stimulus is output to determine if the subject is paying attention to the stimulus. If the subject is not focused on the stimulus, the mask adjusts at least one of an audio, visual, or haptic output. The stimulus is adjusted in an effort to shift the subject's attention to the stimulus and away from racing thoughts.

Systems and methods for reducing stress
11594318 · 2023-02-28 · ·

A method for controlling stress includes (a) providing an individual with (i) stimulator devices, each having a wireless receiver, a selectively controllable tactile stimulator, a processor that processes digitally encoded instructions in received wireless signals and controls the operation of the tactile stimulator in response thereto and (ii) a programmable mobile device controller containing a memory component configured to hold application instructions for receiving input from the individual including the intensity and speed of stimulation through a graphical user interface, processor(s) for executing the application instructions, and a wireless relay for transmitting the digitally encoded instructions to the stimulator devices, (b) having the individual place the stimulator devices bilaterally on and in direct or indirect contact with the individual's body, (c) having the individual set the speed and intensity of the stimulation, and (d) causing the controller to store the individual's speed and intensity selections in the memory component.

MECHANICAL DEVICE FOR SOOTHING AGITATED PATIENTS
20180001051 · 2018-01-04 ·

A system for soothing an agitated patient, including a motor, a linkage operationally connected to the motor, an armature operationally connected to the linkage, and a lifelike hand connected to the armature. Energization of the motor enables the lifelike hand to move in a generally circular, rubbing motion.

Method and system to deliver timed and grouped sensory stimulation

A system for delivering sensory stimulation comprises a sensor configured to measure brain activity information of a patient during a sleep session; a sensory stimulator configured to deliver sensory simulation to the patient during the sleep session; and a computer system. One or more physical processors are programmed with computer program instructions which, when executed cause the computer system to: determine a first stimulation profile, a second stimulation profile, or a combination stimulation profile thereof based on obtained sleep cycle information and/or obtained cognitive domain information; and provide input to the sensory stimulator based on the determined stimulation profile, the provided input causing the sensory stimulator to deliver the sensory simulations to the patient based on the determined stimulation profile during the detected slow wave sleep in the patient.

ALLEVIATING MOVEMENT DISORDER CONDITIONS USING UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES
20180008797 · 2018-01-11 ·

Aspects include a method, system and computer program product for alleviating an episode of a movement disorder condition for a patient. The method comprises deploying an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to a location of a patient based on an occurrence of an episode of a movement disorder condition. A first gross sensory change stimulus is selected with a processor. The first gross sensory change stimulus is projected from the UAV. An attempt to alleviate the episode of the movement disorder condition is performed based at least in part on the projecting of the first gross sensory change stimulus from the UAV. The alleviating of the episode of the movement disorder condition is detected based on the gross sensory change stimulus from the UAV.

A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MEASURING A LEVEL OF ANXIETY
20230233121 · 2023-07-27 · ·

There is described a method and system for measuring a level of anxiety. Measured data comprising EEG data collected from a parietal (P) EEG electrode is received. A group 8 indicator based on a power, P-power (dt), associated with a delta-theta frequency band, dt, within a delta-theta frequency range is extracted. Based on said group 8 indicator, a level of anxiety, LoA, is determined which is a value indicative of the level of anxiety of the subject.

AUGMENTED AND VIRTUAL REALITY DISPLAY SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DIAGNOSING HEALTH CONDITIONS BASED ON VISUAL FIELDS

Configurations are disclosed for a health system to be used in various healthcare applications, e.g., for patient diagnostics, monitoring, and/or therapy. The health system may comprise a light generation module to transmit light or an image to a user, one or more sensors to detect a physiological parameter of the user's body, including their eyes, and processing circuitry to analyze an input received in response to the presented images to determine one or more health conditions or defects.

SEAT DEVICE

To better fulfill a sleep-inducing function for a seated person, a seat device includes a pressing device provided in a seat back and configured to press a back or a waist of a seated person to induce breathing; at least one of a temperature adjusting device configured to change a temperature of a seat cushion and/or the seat back and a shape adjusting device configured to change a surface shape of the seat cushion and/or the seat back; and a controller configured to control the pressing device to press the back or the waist of the seated person at a set cycle corresponding to a breathing cycle of a person at a sleeping time, and control the at least one of the temperature adjusting device and the shape adjusting device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ALTERING NEURAL RESPONSE USING SENSORY INPUT REDUCTION
20230233795 · 2023-07-27 · ·

A therapeutic nesting apparatus is disclosed for a treating sensory-related, neuropsychological conditions by altering neural response to reduce sensory input and improve biological, neurological, and psychological performance. The apparatus provides for a body to lie in a natural position creating a cocoon-like sensation that allows the brain to alter neural response. The nesting apparatus allows the user's head to be relaxed for open airways and minimize strain on the neck. The lower portion of the nesting apparatus may support the legs in a gently bent position to allow the feet to be on or off the ground depending on the user's preference. The sides of the nesting apparatus are designed to hold the user's arms by their side to give a hug-like sensation as well as allowing the arms to be free.

Traumatic nightmare detection and intervention
11712538 · 2023-08-01 · ·

The present disclosure, in one embodiment, is a computer-implemented method for the detection of and intervention in traumatic nightmares. In one embodiment, a user wears a watch wirelessly connected to a phone. The watch may include an accelerometer, gyroscope, and heartrate monitor. The application may monitor these sensors and intervene with haptic feedback if the application detects a traumatic nightmare. In one embodiment, the application may include a monitoring module that collects data from the watch's accelerometer, gyroscope, and heartrate sensors. The application may then estimate and record stress levels based on these sensors. The application may also include an intervention module that responds to high stress levels with haptic feedback that increases in intensity of previous efforts to intervene were unsuccessful.
