SAFETY FENCE ASSEMBLY
A modular safety fence assembly is disclosed. The safety fence may include a fence panel assembly having a top rail, a bottom rail, and mesh panel. The safety fence panel assembly may also support post assembly capable of supporting the fence panel assembly and an anchor assembly which may anchor the support post assembly to the floor using one or more relatively shallow holes formed in the floor.
Temporary safety guardrail for construction sites
A temporary safety guardrail for construction sites is provided. The guardrail includes specially designed anchoring members configured to accept removable posts which vertically extend from each anchoring member. On top of each posts, a guardrail is provided in two versions, a fixed length handrail or a telescopic handrail. Either handrail is connected directly to a fixed bracket, or indirectly by way of one or more orientable bracket so that the guardrail can be oriented to different angles so as to follow the building's contour, such as going up and down staircases or doing corners.
Safety screen and safety screen system
The present disclosure relates to a safety screen comprising: a plurality of screen members vertically arranged above one another; two longitudinal carriers pivotally connected to the screen members, wherein in a first operating position, the longitudinal carriers extend vertically and the screen members extend horizontally, and wherein in a second operating position, the longitudinal carriers are inclined sideward from vertical and the screen members extend horizontally, offset from one another horizontally.
ELEVATED WALKWAY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A walkway system includes brackets that are connectable to vertical frame members and supportable by horizontal frame members. Walkway support members include lips that engage with the brackets, horizontally-oriented portions that support a walkway member, and vertically-oriented portions that contact the building to stabilize the walkway member.
GRAB PLATE ASSEMBLY
A grab plate assembly for retaining an inner cylindrical tube in a fixed telescopic position relative to an outer cylindrical tube in a telescoping post. The assembly comprises a grab plate having a polygonal tube receiving opening therein, a lever arm integral with and angled relative to the grab plate, and an actuating rod. Turning the actuating rod in a first direction lifts the lever arm causing multiple side edges of the tube receiving opening to compressively engage multiple points on the inner cylindrical tube thereby resisting telescopic movement of the inner cylindrical tube relative to the outer cylindrical tube. Turning the actuating rod in a second opposite direction lowers the lever arm causing the side edges of the tube receiving opening to disengage from the inner cylindrical tube and to permit telescopic movement of the inner cylindrical tube relative to the outer cylindrical tube.
EDGE PROTECTION SYSTEM
A safety fence comprising a first and a second post. An upper rail is securable to upright members of the first post and the second post in a horizontally orientation. A mesh has an upper end slidably coupled to the upper rail. The mesh has a retracted configuration where it is collapsed and retained next to the first post, and a deployed configuration where it is extended between the first and second posts in a taut configuration. At least one tensioning member has a first end fixed to the first post and is releasably securable to the second post such that the tensioning member may be tensioned between the first and second posts. The tensioning member, when tensioned between the first and second posts with the mesh in its deployed configuration, provides horizontal load support to the mesh.
Mobile safety fall arrest cart
A mobile safety fall arrest cart is provided. The mobile safety fall arrest cart is configured to move along an edge of an elevated surface as a worker works along the edge. The worker is connected to the cart with a safety line. If the worker falls from the elevated surface, the weight of the worker causes a spike assembly to move from a stowed configuration to a deployed configuration. In the deployed configuration, a spike member engages the elevated surface so as to assist in arresting the worker's fall.
Support bracket for railing system
A support bracket may include a base portion having an upper surface and a lower surface for resting on a surface, and a mount portion securely mounted on the base portion. The mount portion may include a perimeter wall having a lower end mounted on the base portion such that the mount portion extends away from the upper surface, and an upper end with an upper opening. The bracket may form a socket for receiving a lower end portion of an upright post. The socket may have a cross section size with a width and a depth, and a length substantially equal to the maximum extent to which the lower end portion of the upright post is insertable into the socket. The length of the socket may be greater than approximately two times the width of the socket.
