A device is provided for stimulating neurons that includes a non-invasive stimulation unit that generates stimuli in multiple stimulation channels. The stimulation unit generates the stimuli to stimulate a neuron population in the brain and/or spinal cord of a patient using the stimulation channels in different locations. Moreover, the device includes a control unit that controls the stimulation unit to repeatedly generates sequences of the stimuli with the order of the stimulation channels in which stimuli are generated within a sequence being constant for 20 or more successively generated sequences before it is varied.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING PERSISTENT PAIN OF NEUROGENIC ORIGIN AND COMPLEX INJURY
An applicator can include a dispenser for dispensing an amount of a therapeutic composition, which can include an amount of sugar or sugar alcohol and an amount of an alkalizing agent. In some cases, the alkalizing agent can include L-Arginine. In some cases, 75% or more of the composition by weight has a comedogenicity rating of 3 or less on a scale of 0-5. The dispenser can also have a power supply configured to provide power through a contact tip of the dispenser to provide nerve stimulation, such as using vibration, heating, cooling, and/or electrical stimulation.
Hearing training device
A hearing training device, is provided, including: a wearable device configured for being worn on the head of a user; a playing device arranged on the wearable device; an acupoint stimulation device, served as a physiotherapy device, comprising a plurality of acupoint stimulation mediums arranged on the wearable device, respectively configured for stimulating a plurality of acupoints on the head of the user and related to hearing, and arranged at the positions of the wearable device corresponding to the acupoints respectively; and a control device being in signal connection with the playing device and storing at least one music file, wherein the control device controls the playing device to play the music file, a beat is formed in an audio track of the music file, and the beat decreases with time, and is fixed until the beat is between 10 Hz and 15 Hz.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING SLOW WAVE DETECTION CRITERIA
The present disclosure pertains to a system configured to a system configured to detect slow waves based on adjusted slow wave detection criteria and time delivery of the sensory stimulation to correspond to slow waves detected based on the adjusted criteria. The system is configured to adjust slow wave detection criteria to enhance detection of slow waves in a subject. Slow wave detection using adjustable slow wave detection criteria produces more stimulation relative to prior art systems because more individual stimuli are provided if more slow waves are detected. In some embodiments, the system includes one or more of a sensory stimulator, a sensor, a processor, electronic storage, a user interface, and/or other components.
System and method to enhance dream recall
The present disclosure pertains to delivering sensory stimulation to a subject during a sleep session in order to enhance dream recall. The system may detect REM sleep in the subject during a sleep session based on brain activity of the subject. The system may then deliver sensory stimulation to the subject during the sleep session. The system may deliver sensory stimulation at a frequency in a theta range of an EEG signal in order to increase theta power in the brain activity of the subject. In some embodiments, the system may modulate the intensity of the sensory stimulation according to changes in the EEG theta power associated with the subject during the sleep session. In some embodiments, an increase in EEG theta power associated with the subject may promote dream recall.
TRAINING DEVICE FOR IMPROVING INSOMNIA
A training device for improving insomnia is provided, comprising a virtual reality unit and a control unit. The virtual reality unit comprises two earphones and an eye cover connected to the earphones. When the control unit executes the daytime relaxaion-assisted program, the control unit controls the earphones to play a daytime binaural beats with frequency following response. The daytime binaural beats with frequency following response have a first main carrier frequency tone and a first loading frequency tone differing from the first main carrier frequency tone by a first difference frequency rate. When the control unit executes the nighttime anti-insomnia-assisted program, the control unit controls the earphones to play the nighttime difference frequency tone. The nighttime difference frequency tone have a second main carrier frequency tone and a second loading frequency tone differing from the second main carrier frequency tone by a second difference frequency rate.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR NEUROENHANCEMENT TO ENHANCE EMOTIONAL RESPONSE
A method of transplanting a desired emotional state from a donor to a recipient, comprising determining an emotional state of the donor, recording neural correlates of the emotional state of the donor who is in the desired emotional state; analyzing neural correlates of the emotional state of the donor to decode at least one of a temporal and a spatial pattern corresponding to the desirable emotional state; converting said at least one of a temporal and a spatial pattern corresponding to the desirable emotional state into a neurostimulation pattern; storing the neurostimulation pattern in the nonvolatile memory; retrieving the neurostimulation pattern from the nonvolatile memory; stimulating the recipient's brain with at least one stimulus modulated with the neurostimulation pattern to induce the desired emotional state in the recipient.
APPARATUS, METHOD, AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING TUNABLE CIRCADIAN LIGHTING AT CONSTANT PERCEIVED BRIGHTNESS AND COLOR
The newly discovered retinal ganglion cell photoreceptor melanopsin absent in the central fovea of the eye but distributed throughout the remaining human retinal body provides both non-visual biological/physiological input inducing circadian entrainment, and visual input affecting perceived brightness; this perceived brightness is not the object brightness commonly associated with luminance and perceived color of an object in central view, but the perception of brightness of a whole space or task background. Discussed are improvements to circadian lighting systems based on melanopsin stimulation whereby ambient and/or device background lighting may be temporally tuned over a range of prescribed color temperatures from a first subset of lighting having a higher melanopic content to a second subset of lighting having a lower melanopic content or vice versa in accordance with a desired circadian cycle, and in a manner where net light output is of a constant perceived brightness and color throughout temporal tuning.
MULTI-SENSORY EAR-WEARABLE DEVICES FOR STRESS RELATED CONDITION DETECTION AND THERAPY
Embodiments herein relate to ear-wearable systems and devices that can detect and/or take actions to prevent or alleviate stress related conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the like. In an embodiment, an ear-wearable stress therapy system is included having a control circuit, a first sensor package, a microphone, and an electroacoustic transducer, wherein the electroacoustic transducer is in electrical communication with the control circuit. The ear-wearable stress therapy system can be configured to initiate administration of desensitization and reprocessing (DR) therapy to a device wearer. Other embodiments are also included herein.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INCREASING HUMAN ABILITY FOR IDEA GENERATION AND INSIGHT RELATED TASKS USING DC STIMULATION
This invention described a method of, and device for increasing human ability for idea generation and insight related tasks. “Thinking outside the box” is difficult and often requires a qualitatively different perception of the task at hand. One aspect of the invention is a method for facilitating such pursuits by applying electrical stimulation at selected brain areas before or during an idea generation or insight related task. One aspect of our method is to temporarily enable a person to perceive insight related tasks in a way that is less influenced by past expectations and more open to novel representations. In one embodiment, this is achieved by suppressing the left anterior temporal lobe and/or facilitating the right anterior temporal lobe with non-invasive electrical stimulation.
