LOAD EQUALIZER FOR LATCHES OF CLOSURE PANELS IN MOTOR VEHICLES
A load balancing mechanism for controlling concurrent operation of a pair of latches of a vehicle via a respective pair of links connecting the pair of latches to an actuator, the actuator for sharing by the pair of latches, the load balancing mechanism comprising: a housing for connecting to a body of the vehicle; a lever mounted to the housing at a pivot such that the lever is pivotable about the pivot; an actuator mounting point on the lever connecting the lever to the actuator, the actuator for rotating the lever about the pivot; and a load balancing element mounted on the lever at an axis and rotatable about the axis, such that each of the respective pair of links is positioned on opposite sides of the axis, said each of the respective pair of links for coupling to a corresponding one of the pair of latches; wherein operation of the actuator causes both rotation of lever about the pivot and rotation of the load balancing element about the axis while the pair of latches are operated concurrently. A power cinch system and a power release system can be included.
Structure For Connecting Door Latch Cable to Retractable Outside Door Handle Assembly For Vehicle
A structure can be used for connecting a door latch cable to a retractable outside door handle assembly for a vehicle. A mounting housing is inserted into a case of the retractable outside door handle assembly in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and hanged by and mounted at the case in a height direction of the vehicle. A door latch cable is movably installed at the mounting housing.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A BYPASS FEATURE IN A LATCH
A latch having: a fork bolt movably mounted thereto; a detent lever movably mounted thereto, wherein the detent lever prevents the fork bolt from moving from a closed position to an open position when the detent lever is in a latched position; a bell crank lever movably mounted to the latch for movement between a first position and a second position, wherein the bell crank lever moves the detent lever from the latched position to the released position as the bell crank lever moves from the first position to the second position; a release lever movably mounted to the latch for movement between a first position and a second position; and an intermittent pin operatively coupled to bell crank lever and the release lever, wherein movement of the release lever is not transferred to the bell crank lever when the intermittent pin is in the second position.

SIDE DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY
A door latch assembly includes an actuator housing, a first post, a first sector gear, a first inner release lever, a first spring, a child link, and a first motor assembly. The actuator housing has a housing floor and a side wall extending therefrom. The first sector gear has a first head defining a first set of teeth and a first arm extending from the first head. The first spring has a first spring first arm and a first spring second arm. The child link is pivotally mounted for rotation about a second post of the first inner release lever. The first motor assembly is arranged to pivot the first sector gear about the first post, such that the child link pivots about the second post between a first child link position and a second child link position.
