CLOSURE LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH LATCH MECHANISM HAVING A DUAL-PAWL CONFIGURATION
A closure latch assembly for installation in the door of a motor vehicle. The closure latch assembly is equipped with a primary latch mechanism, a latch release mechanism, a secondary latch mechanism, and a power actuation mechanism. The latch release mechanism is controlled by the power actuation mechanism to release the primary latch mechanism and provide a power release function. The secondary latch mechanism is configured to block the primary latch mechanism from unintentional release. The power actuation mechanism controls the secondary latch mechanism to unblock the primary latch mechanism prior to release thereof via the latch release mechanism.
VEHICLE DOOR LOCK DEVICE
A vehicle door lock device, including: a latch unit provided at a vehicle door, selectively adopting an unlatched state in which the vehicle door can be opened, or a latched state in which the vehicle door is maintained in a closed state, and transitioning from the unlatched state to the latched state in a case, in the unlatched state, in which the vehicle door is closed relative to the vehicle body; a mechanical operation unit switching the latch unit from the latched state to the unlatched state by means of at least one of operative parts being operated; an electrical operation unit connected to the mechanical operation unit, and switching the latch unit to the latched state or to the unlatched state, by means of power from a drive unit; and a cancellation unit that releases the connection between the electrical operation unit and the mechanical operation unit.
MOTORIZED LOCKING DEVICE FOR OPENING/SHUTTING UNIT
An electric lock device for an opening and closing member includes: a lock portion; a rod; a biasing member; and an actuator. The actuator includes a case, a motor, a wheel, and a rotor. The wheel is provided with a pressing portion that is configured to engage with a receiving portion provided on the rotor or the rod when the wheel rotates in a predetermined direction to move the rod. When a rotation force is applied to the rotor in a direction against a biasing force of the biasing member via the rod in a state where the rod is biased by the biasing member in a direction in which the rod is engaged with the lock portion, the rotor is capable of rotating independently of the wheel in a direction in which the receiving portion is separated from the pressing portion.

CRASH UNLOCK FOR SIDE DOOR LATCH
A power latch assembly for motor vehicle closure applications is provided that is normally actuated via electrical signals whereat inside and outside door handles are mechanically disengaged and wherein the inside and outside door handles can be selectively and/or automatically changed for mechanically engaged actuation. The inside door handles can be provided to be mechanically actuatable in direct response to selective disengagement of a child lock. The outside door handles can be provided to be mechanically actuatable in direct response to a crash condition.

CLOSURE LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH IS/OS BACKUP MECHANISM HAVING INTEGRATED SPLITTER BOX ARRANGEMENT
A closure latch assembly for a motor vehicle closure panel is equipped with a common kinematic chain of components for a latch release mechanism utilizing a first range of handle travel to initiate a power release of a latch mechanism and further utilizing a second range of handle travel to initiate a mechanical release of the latch mechanism. An actuation rod may include a magnet that, when moved out of range of a sensor, signals to initiate the power release. In the event that the power release does not occur, further movement of the actuation rod forces the mechanical release. In both the power release and mechanical release, a pawl is rotated from a ratchet holding position to a ratchet release position. The actuation rod may have a first segment connected to a door handle and a second segment connected to a key cylinder, where either segment may provide the mechanical release.

POWER LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH IMPACT PROTECTION
A latch assembly and system therewith configured for retaining a closure panel of a motor vehicle in a closed position relative to a vehicle body during and upon the latch assembly experiencing an impact force during a crash condition and prior to the latch assembly having been intentionally actuated to move to an unlatched state.
