MULTI-PANEL SHOWER DOOR ASSEMBLY
20200170455 · 2020-06-04 ·

A multi-panel shower door assembly includes door panels supported near the top ends of the door panels for sliding movement relative to one another within a door frame. The door panels are supported such that bottom ends of the door panels are spaced above the bottom wall of a sill member to define an unobstructed free space between the bottom wall and the bottom ends of door panels. The sill member includes a sidewall extending upwardly from the bottom wall and an elongate, downwardly opening channel extending along an upper edge of the sidewall. A first rail member near the bottom end of the first door panel has an upwardly extending lip configured to be received in the channel to facilitate sliding movement of the door panels while inhibiting tilting movement of the door panels.

Easy glide storm door

A method of installing a storm door is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: attaching a track to a door head; attaching one or more rollers to the track; and attaching the storm door to the one or more rollers. After the storm door is installed, the storm door can be slid along a length of the track between an open position and a closed position. While sliding the storm door between the open position and the closed position, the storm door remains generally parallel to the door head.

A sliding door apparatus capable of effectively restraining sliding movement of a door body is provided. A sliding door apparatus 1 includes: a rail 20 having an inner surface 24 formed to have a concave shape, the inner surface 24 having a first support surface 24A and a second support surface 24B which are not parallel to each other; a hanger 30A, 30B having a first driving member (32, 37) in rolling contact with the first support surface 24A, and a second driving member (33, 38) in rolling contact with the second support surface 24B; and a door body 40 configured to be moved in a longitudinal direction of the rail 20 through the hanger 30A, 30B. When seen along the longitudinal direction of the rail, the first support surface 24A and the second support surface 24B are formed to come close to each other as they extend toward a bottom of the inner surface 24.

A sliding door assembly includes a frame that supports and interfaces directly to a fixed door panel and a moving door panel. The frame includes opposed side jamb portions, a sill portion, and head jamb portion opposite the sill portion. The door assembly includes an electric motor, a wireless motor controller, and a drive belt that is operably coupled to the moving door panel. The drive belt is driven by the electric motor under control of the wireless motor controller. The head jamb portion includes at least one internal channel that accommodates the drive belt. One of the side jamb portions has a first internal compartment that houses the electric motor and the wireless motor controller.

Friction adjustment member for architectural covering

An architectural covering may include an adjustment member configured and positioned to adjust friction affecting movement of the covering. The adjustment member may be manipulated to increase friction in the architectural covering so a covering member (e.g., a panel) of the architectural covering does not move as freely as it would without the increased friction, yet the covering member nonetheless remains simple to operate. The additional friction may be effective to inhibit the covering member from moving across an associated architectural feature on its own without a user's input.
