A door control system is provided. The control system includes a controller configured to control a door via a motor. The motor is powered by a battery and bypasses the controller via relays and/or switches when power to the controller is disconnected.

Device for manually and/or electromotively adjusting or securing a first vehicle part and a second vehicle part relative to each other

A device for manually and/or electromotively adjusting or securing a first vehicle part and a second vehicle part relative to each other is provided. The device comprising an adjustment part which has a joint for pivotable arrangement on the first vehicle part, wherein the adjustment part is to be arranged on the first vehicle part in such a manner that, when the vehicle parts are adjusted relative to each other, the adjustment part moves relative to the second vehicle part, an output element which is to be arranged on the second vehicle part, is operatively connected to the adjustment part and is drivable in order to move the adjustment part relative to the second vehicle part, a shaft connected to the output element, and a flexible force transmission element which is fastened at a first end and at a second end to the adjustment part.

Device and method for powered closing of car doors

The technology relates to assisting in the closing of a vehicle door by automatically pulling a door closed. One or more computing devices having one or more processors may receive, from one or more sensors, information indicating that a door on the vehicle is not closed. In response to the received information indicating that the door is not closed, the one or more computing devices may determine to send a triggering signal to close the door. The one or more computing devices may send the triggering signal to the actuator and the actuator may receive the triggering signal. In response to receiving the triggering signal the actuator may be activated to close the door of the vehicle without user input.

DOOR POSITION SENSOR AND SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
20190383647 · 2019-12-19 ·

A system for determining a door condition includes a hinge including a first portion coupled with a door and a second portion coupled with a vehicle frame and rotatably coupled with the first portion. The system further includes a sensor outputting a signal related to a position of the first portion relative to the second portion and a controller receiving the signal and determining whether the signal corresponds to a door closed condition or a door open condition.

ELECTRIC MOTOR-POWERED FURNITURE DRIVE

An electric motor-powered furniture drive includes an electric motor; an interface via which the electric motor-powered furniture drive can be connected, preferably detachably connected, to a mechanical actuator; and an identification device for automatically identifying a configuration of the mechanical actuator. Regions of the identification device are located on the interface of the electric motor-powered furniture drive so that the configuration of the mechanical actuator can be identified when the electric motor-powered furniture drive is connected to the mechanical actuator.

Door position sensor and system for a vehicle

A system for determining a door condition includes a hinge including a first portion coupled with a door and a second portion coupled with a vehicle frame and rotatably coupled with the first portion. The system further includes a sensor outputting a signal related to a position of the first portion relative to the second portion and a controller receiving the signal and determining whether the signal corresponds to a door closed condition or a door open condition.

Vehicle with power swinging door and position-based torque compensation method

A system controls opening/closing of a power swinging door, e.g., in a vehicle, and includes a rotary actuator, position sensor, and controller. In a controller-executed method, the actuator applies torque to the door in response to control signals. The controller uses a measured raw angular position from the sensor to determine wind- or grade-based external forces acting on the door during opening or closing, and adjusts the actuator torque in response to the external forces. The sensor may be a rotary encoder, with the actuator being an electric motor. Lookup tables contain data relating oscillation to the external forces. The controller may induce door oscillation and to relate oscillation decay to the external forces. An obstacle-based current threshold may be adjusted in response to the external forces.

OBSTACLE DETECTING DEVICE
20190275938 · 2019-09-12 ·

An obstacle detecting device for detecting an obstacle around a vehicle includes a sensor, a notifying unit, an operation detecting unit, and a control unit. The sensor is installed at a fixed portion of the vehicle to detect an obstacle within a predetermined detection range with an origin corresponding to a position where the sensor is installed. The notifying unit provides a notification based on a signal output from the sensor. The operation detecting unit detects an operation of a movable portion of the vehicle moving within the detection range of the sensor. The control unit is enabled to inhibit a notifying operation of the notifying unit when the operation detecting unit detects the operation of the movable portion.

CONCEALED ELECTRICAL DOOR OPERATOR

A door assembly includes a first door skin, a second door skin spaced apart from the first door skin and a door operator disposed between the first door skin and the second door skin. An arm extends from the door operator. The door operator includes a motor moving the arm to move the door between a closed position and an open position and between the open position and the closed position. A current sensor generates a current signal corresponding to the current to the motor. A position sensor in communication with the door arm generates a position signal corresponding to the position of the door relative to the frame. A controller communicates with the sensor and the motor. The controller controls a motor current to the motor in response to the current signal and the position signal.
