MALE AND FEMALE GASKET COUPLING FOR A WINDOW FRAME
20200032575 · 2020-01-30 ·

Embodiments described herein may be directed towards a male and female gasket coupling for securing adjacent window frames. In accordance with the present disclosure, the male gasket may comprise a head portion that creates a seal inside a cavity of the female gasket. The female gasket may further be enabled to collapse on itself as it engages a surface of the male gasket. The seal may be maintained when the male and female gaskets move toward each other or when the male and female gaskets move away from each other due to fluctuations in temperature.

COMPRESSION GASKET FOR SEALING A WINDOW IN A WINDOW FRAME
20200032572 · 2020-01-30 ·

Embodiments described herein may be directed to the functional application and method of use of the compression gasket for sealing a window installed in a window frame. In accordance with the present disclosure, a compression gasket may comprise soft rubber portion that applies pressure against a window surface. The soft rubber portion may compress, causing a rigid plastic portion that to bow outwardly and engage inner surfaces of the window frame. The bowing out of the rigid plastic portion, which may include a leaf spring, may secure the compression gasket to the window frame. The compression gasket may be designed to stop water leakage that may occur between the window and the window frame.

INTEGRATING COMMUNICATION LINES INTO PROFILES

A profile for a fenestration system includes a first portion and a second portion offset from the first portion and thereby defining an inner space therebetween. The profile for a fenestration system further includes a retention mechanism arranged within the inner space, and one or more communication lines mounted to the retention mechanism.

Insulated portal

A method of assembling a portal can include obtaining a stile, wherein the stile can include a first stile and a second stile; arranging a thermal strut and insulative bar between the first stile and the second stile, wherein the insulative bar can define a lock groove; arranging a lock assembly within the lock groove, wherein the lock assembly can include a fastening plate rotatably coupled to the lock assembly; and coupling the lock assembly to the stile by rotating the fastening plate and, thereafter, engaging fasteners to provide friction between the fastening plate and the insulative bar.

Structural members for windows

A structural member for a window comprising two extrusions spaced apart and coupled to each other using an insulating coupler extending at least 40 mm apart to form the structural member and hinder thermal bridging. A stiffener extends inside the structural member between the extrusions to stiffen the structural member and comprises two spaced apart ends engaged with the two extrusions, respectively. The two ends are coupled to each other using an insulating stiffener coupler to support the stiffener and hinder thermal bridging. A method of forming a thermally broken structural member.

Insulating and glass panel supporting structure of window frame sash in center bar portion at which two-side supporting frame window sashes of sliding window overlap

The present invention relates to a heat insulation and support structure between a moving window (sliding window) and a fixed window constituting a sliding window system, or between a moving window and another moving window. More particularly, the present invention relates to a window chassis insulating structure and a glass panel supporting (mounting) structure including technical improvements in a center bar portion in which a window chassis of a movable window and a fixed window (or other movable window) overlap each other when a sliding window of a two-side supporting frame window having a two-sided supporting frame for supporting only both sides of a glass window constituting a sliding window system, is closed.

Metal door

A metal door including a hinge stile having upper and lower ends, a lock stile having upper and lower ends, a top rail extending between the upper ends of the hinge and lock stiles, a bottom rail extending between the lower ends of the hinge and lock stiles, and an intermediate rail extending between the hinge and lock stiles above the bottom rail. The hinge stile, the lock stile, the top rail, the bottom rail and the intermediate rail having a unique construction which creates a thermal break therein. The door is mounted in a jamb which also has a unique construction which creates a thermal break therein.

WATER DRAINING SPANDREL ASSEMBLY AND INSULATED PANEL WINDOW WALLS

An exterior wall assembly including an insulated panel having at least one hole; at least one spacer located between and abutting a first portion of an outside of the insulated panel and an inside of an architectural fascia panel; at least one layer of non-conducting material connected to the at least one spacer and sandwiched between a second portion of the outside of the insulated panel and the inside of the architectural fascia panel; and a first fastener having a hollow inner section inserted into the at least one hole which has threading on the inside, an outer section having threading on the outside and extending into the layer of non-conducting material; and a flange located between the inner section and outer section of the first fastener and having a greater lateral dimension than the radius of the at least one hole.

Knurling Apparatus and Methods for Architectural Assemblies

A composite architectural frame section with subcomponents that meet functional, strength and thermal isolation requirements is assembled using knurling and crimping operations as joining procedures. When properly designed the knurling and subcomponent geometries with proper crimping operations result in an optimal shearing strength between critical subcomponents, thus maximizing the structural performance aspect of the frame section. Various embodiments of this design address requirements for subcomponent features such as: hammer and anvil tips, orientation of knurled and crimped surfaces, design of the knurling wheel components, and the introduction of alternate surface topographies to additional regions of these contacting frame subcomponents. These embodiments serve to maximize the portion of available interface contact surfaces and their friction that can bear shearing forces and, thus, add to the overall shear strength of the frame section.

Integrally Hinged Stile
