20210145430 · 2021-05-20 ·

The present disclosure provides for novel ways of delivering tensioning elements, such as tethers, and deployable anchors, to a desired location within the anatomy of a patient. More specifically, the present disclosure provides a system and method for delivering deployable anchors to a desire location within the anatomy and tethering the anchors together through tissue. The deployable anchors may include anchors that have a pre-deployment elongate configuration and a post-deployment planar configuration.

SINGLE HANDED ENT TOOL
20210015344 · 2021-01-21 ·

A tool, consisting of an enclosure and a rotatable knob retained by, and protruding from, the enclosure. The tool has a tube having a proximal end that is retained by the enclosure, and the tube has an axis of symmetry. A Geneva drive is retained within the enclosure, the Geneva drive consisting of a drive wheel fixedly attached to the rotatable knob and a driven wheel fixedly attached to the proximal end of the tube, so that an axis of rotation of the driven wheel coincides with the axis of symmetry of the tube. Thus, a continuous rotation of the rotatable knob causes the tube to rotate about the axis of symmetry in discrete angular steps.

Reentry catheter and method thereof

Embodiments of the invention are directed towards a rapid exchange catheter configured for insertion into a subintimal space and crossing an occlusion in a subintimal space. The catheter includes a proximal end, a distal end, a first lumen configured to receive a first wire, the first lumen extending longitudinally through a least a lateral port of the catheter, and a second lumen having at least a portion distal of the lateral port and extending through at least the distal end of the catheter. The catheter also includes an exchange port, arranged on an exterior portion of the catheter configured to receive a second wire and second rapid exchange port in communication with the second lumen. Moreover, other embodiments of the invention are directed towards methods for using the rapid exchange catheter to cross an obstruction in a vessel, e.g., a total or partial occlusion, in a subintimal space.

A catheter includes a first hollow shaft made of a first material, a second hollow shaft made of a second material, a mesh member with a tubular shape configured to expand and contract in a radial direction, a front end tip, and a core wire. The core wire extends inside the mesh member, inside a lumen of the second hollow shaft, and inside a lumen of the first hollow shaft. The core wire has a front end side small-diameter portion and a large-diameter portion. The large-diameter portion has an outer diameter larger than an outer diameter of the front end side small-diameter portion, and is located on the base end side relative to the front end side small-diameter portion. At least a portion of the large-diameter portion is located in the lumen of the second hollow shaft in a state where the mesh member remains contracted radially.

CATHETER

A catheter according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a mesh member, a first hollow shaft, a front end tip, a guiding film, a second hollow shaft, and a core wire. The mesh member has a tubular shape and is radially expandable and contractable. The guiding film is disposed on the mesh member and has a front end located between a base end of the front end tip and a front end of the first hollow shaft. A thickness of the front end of the guiding film is larger than a thickness of a portion where a thickness of the guiding film is the smallest.

A catheter according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a mesh member, a first hollow shaft, a front end tip, a guiding film, and a core wire. The mesh member has a tubular shape and is radially expandable and contractable. The guiding film is formed with a stretchable material and is disposed on the mesh member, the guiding film having a front end located between a base end of the front end tip and a front end of the first hollow shaft. A thickness of a base end of the guiding film is larger than a thickness of the front end of the guiding film.

Catheter with formed guide wire ramp

A rapid exchange catheter comprises a guide wire lumen including a substantially sealed portion in which a lumen wall extends around an entire periphery thereof and a channel portion including a channel opening the lumen to an exterior of the catheter, wherein a width of the channel is less than a maximum width of the channel portion. A guide wire ramp extends into the channel portion, with the ramp extending further into the lumen of the channel portion as a distal end of the ramp is approached.
