20230265710 · 2023-08-24 ·

Fire protection glazing made of two or more glass panes spaced apart from each other by a spacer. A fire protection material and the spacer are arranged in an intermediate space between the two glass panes. A secondary seal encloses the fire protection material and the spacer in the intermediate space. The secondary seal has a cooling fire protection property and is free of any intumescent fire protection property. Exclusively the fire protection material, the spacer, optionally having an optional spacer attachment for attaching the spacer to the glass pane, and the secondary seal can be arranged in the intermediate space between the two glass panes.

Efficient assembly of triple pane windows

This invention describes an apparatus for assembling triple pane insulating glass units from a plurality of insulating spacer frames having sealant or adhesive applied to opposite sides of said spacer frames.

A VACUUM INSULATING GLAZING

The present invention refers to a Vacuum Insulating Glazing (VIG) able to provide excellent thermal insulation to the transparent components of curtain walling systems in buildings and to cabinets for domestic or commercial refrigerators, and to a process for its manufacture.

TRANSPARENT DOOR

A door assembly including a first glass pane, a second glass pane, and a spacer positioned between the first glass pane and the second glass pane such that the first pane and the second pane are separated by the spacer. The door assembly also includes an element that is coupled to the first glass pane and the second glass pane and positioned exterior of the spacer. The spacer and the element cooperate to at least partially define a seal passage, and a clear material is disposed in the seal passage to seal the space, the clear material configured to provide structural support to the assembly.

The aim of the invention is to not use, partially or completely, the inner aluminium profile as a spacer in multi-pane doors of refrigerators whilst retaining the required stability and also to replace all other spacers with transparent glass spacer. The invention also relates to methods for the production thereof. The insulating glass elements for the multiple-pane doors with a transparent edge composite for use in shop fittings, refrigerator construction and special cabinet construction, comprise glass spacers (1) between the base disk (4) and the cover disk (4) in the vertical regions of doors and in the upper horizontal region or in both horizontal regions, aluminum or plastic spacers (2), and EVA film sheets (3) between the base disk (4) and the spacers (1, 2) and between the spacers (1, 2) and the cover disk (4), the EVA film sheets (3) are arranged in the four edge regions overlapping the vertical spacers (2) to the horizontal spacers (1). In another embodiment, the EVA film is replaced with ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer granulates, which is heated by means of a metering device and is applied in a liquefied form at the desired positions as thread-shaped strips. The crosslinking between the glass and the ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer occurs in the lamination oven.

Method for manufacturing glass panel unit, and method for manufacturing glass window

A method for manufacturing a glass panel unit includes an adhesive disposing step, a glass composite generation step, an internal space forming step, an evacuation step, and an evacuated space forming step. The adhesive disposing step includes disposing a thermal adhesive on a second panel. The glass composite generation step includes generating a glass composite including a first panel, the second panel, and the thermal adhesive. The internal space forming step includes heating the glass composite to melt the thermal adhesive to form internal spaces (a first space and a second space). The evacuation step includes exhausting gas from the internal space to evacuate the internal space. The evacuated space forming step includes heating and applying force to part of a first portion or a second portion to deform the part to close an evacuation path to form an evacuated space hermetically closed.

Heat-insulating glass panel

The subject matter of this invention is a polygonal heat-insulating glass panel with straight edges and a flat surface, in which the two parallel flat glass panes (1) enclosing the inner space of the glass panel are connected to each other, at least on one side, by a transparent, hermetically sealed spacer (2), forming a closed frame with the other sides. The transparent spacer (2) is composed of an adhesive mould incorporating a transparent adhesive body (5) and an adhesive flange (6) applied between an outer edge sealing glass strip (4.1) and an inner edge sealing glass strip (4.2), where the width of the outer edge sealing glass strip (4.1) matches that of the glass panel, while the width of the inner edge sealing glass strip (4.2) closing the inner space of the glass panel matches that of the inner space of the glass panel. The ends of the flat glass panes (1) are chamfered to allow cutting through the adhesive flange (6) in a way that, at the edges of the flat glass panes (1), the sealing lip formed by chamfering touches the sealing surface 13 of the outer edge sealing glass strip (4.1) of the transparent spacer (2) pressed between the flat glass panes (1).

Barrier window spacer with enhanced durability

A window spacer may include a spacer substrate having two pane contact surfaces, an adhesive surface, and a glazing interior surface. A multilayer barrier film is in contact with the adhesive surface of the spacer substrate. The multilayer barrier film includes at least two first polymeric layers and at least two inorganic layers. The inorganic layers are separated by a second polymeric layer. The second polymeric layer has a thickness lower than 5 μm, preferably lower than 4 μm, more preferably having a thickness between 1 μm and 4 μm.
