Endoscopic basket delivery catheter
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to apparatuses, systems, and methods for merging an endoscopic basket delivery catheter onto a fixed guidewire. In one implementation, a catheter may include a sheath having a saddle secured to a distal portion thereof. The sheath may constrain an endoscopic tool such as a basket therein, while the saddle may receive a portion of a guidewire. The saddle may include a slit extending along its longitudinal length. The slit may be widened by a working member of an adapter to allow passage of a locked guidewire into the guidewire lumen of the saddle. The catheter may be merged onto the guidewire via the slit and delivered to the desired treatment device without unlocking of the guidewire. Advantageously, access to at least one desired treatment site may be maintained with the guidewire during merging of the catheter.
ENDOVASCULAR DEVICES AND METHODS FOR EXPLOITING INTRAMURAL SPACE
Devices and methods for the treatment of chronic total occlusions are provided. One disclosed embodiment comprises a method of facilitating treatment via a vascular wall defining a vascular lumen containing an occlusion therein. The method includes inserting an intramural crossing device into the vascular lumen, positioning at least the distal tip of the crossing device in the vascular wall, advancing an orienting device over the crossing device such that an orienting element of the orienting device resides in the vascular wall, inserting a reentry device, and re-entering the true vascular lumen.
MULTI-LUMEN CATHETER
A medical device, including an elongate catheter body defining a proximal segment, a distal segment, and a first lumen therethrough; a tube attached to the distal segment of the catheter body, the tube defining a proximal end, a distal end, and a second lumen therethrough; wherein the proximal end of the tube is attached to the catheter body at a first joint; wherein the distal end of the tube is attached to the catheter body at a second joint; and wherein a portion of the tube extending between the first and second joints is movable with respect to the catheter body.
CATHETER ASSEMBLY HAVING A SIDE PORT VALVE
A catheter assembly may include a catheter adapter. A body of the catheter adapter may include a distal end, a proximal end, and a lumen extending through the distal end and the proximal end. A catheter may extend distally from the distal end of the body. The catheter adapter may include a side port, which may extend outwardly from the body. The catheter assembly may include a valve disposed within the lumen. The valve may include a channel extending through the valve. The catheter assembly may include a cannula fixed within the side port and disposed within the channel. The cannula may include an opening, and the valve may be configured to compress to expose the opening from within the valve.
CATHETER ASSEMBLY HAVING AN INJECTION PORT AND RELATED METHODS
A catheter assembly may include a catheter adapter. A body of the catheter adapter may include a distal end, a proximal end, and a first lumen extending through the distal end and the proximal end. The catheter adapter may include a side port, which may extend outwardly from the body. The side port may include a second lumen, which may be perpendicular to the first lumen. The catheter assembly may include a catheter extending distally from the distal end of the body. The catheter assembly may include a valve disposed within the first lumen. The valve may include an outer surface that is cylindrical and may seal the first lumen from the second lumen. The catheter assembly may include a divider disposed with the second lumen. The divider may divide the second lumen into a plurality of openings and may increase a burst value of the valve.
Balloon catheter and manufacturing method of elongated member for balloon catheter
A balloon catheter is disclosed having a distal side shaft formed of a resin material, a proximal shaft formed of a metal material, and an inner tubular shaft disposed along an inclined portion and a concave portion of the proximal shaft. The distal side shaft is joined to the proximal shaft at the small diameter portion on the proximal side from a distal opening of the proximal shaft. The distal opening of the proximal shaft is disposed on the distal side from a guide wire proximal opening.
RAPID EXCHANGE ENTERAL STENT DELIVERY SYSTEM
Devices for palliating gastrointestinal strictures using rapid exchange type enteral stent placement catheters. The catheter may include an inner member and an outer member, with the two members being slidable with respect to one another. In various device embodiments, a ramp for directing a guidewire out from within the catheter is provided using portions of the outer member or a shaped mandrel. The inner member may take a number of forms, including a tubular distal portion, a skived or integrally attached elongate midsection, and a proximal portion. A mandrel can be used in a portion proximal of the guidewire ramp, with the mandrel taking one of several disclosed forms.
STENT INSERTION APPARATUS COMPRISING GUIDE MEMBER HAVING FIXED PART
A stent insertion apparatus including a guide member in which a fixing part is formed includes a guide member configured to guide movement of a first stent inserted into a human body along a first guide wire inserted into a main area of stenosis to be installed in the main area of stenosis, wherein the guide member includes a fixing part configured to fix a leading end portion of a guide tube into which a second guide wire for installing a second stent is inserted, the second stent being inserted into a branched area of stenosis, which branches from the main area of stenosis, to be installed in the branched area of stenosis.
