A method of generating a 4D model includes capturing imagery of a catheter and a vessel as the catheter is directed through the vessel to a location of interest, wherein the catheter is disposed on a guidewire, constructing a 3D time varying reference curve describing a trajectory of the guidewire, and constructing a time varying 3D model of the artery using the reference curve.
NEUROASPIRATION CATHETER FOR THROMBECTOMY
Described herein is a neuroaspiration catheter for removing a blood clot in a blood vessel. The neuroaspiration catheter includes a first tube, a second tube and a wire for guiding the navigation of the catheter. The wire can be navigated to the site of the blood clot, aid the navigation of the catheter, and left in the blood vessel during and after the aspiration. If the aspiration fails, the catheter can be quickly navigated back to the site of the blood clot using the wire as a guide. Also described herein is a method of removing a blood clot using the neuroaspiration catheter.
Untethered Catheter Containment System and Method
A catheter containment system configured for securing a proximal portion of a catheter placement system within a sterile field. This relieves the clinician from holding the proximal portion to prevent them for falling outside of the sterile field. Further, the proximal portion can be secured out of the way from the insertion site providing a clear field of view. Embodiments include a body, having a channel configured to releasably engage an extension leg or guidewire, and a securement feature to secure the body to a portion of a drape or similar item of the sterile field. Exemplary securement features can include clips, clasps, pins, magnetic elements, adhesives, twist ties, zip ties, snap fasteners, hook and loop attachments, mechanical grasping devices or adhesive pads. The system can further include anchor tabs that can be adhered to the drape to provide an anchor point.
Balloon Tipped Dual Lumen Tapered Guide Extension Catheter
The present disclosure discloses a guide extension catheter device. The catheter device includes an elongated body having at least one of a distal portion, a proximal portion, and a middle portion. The middle portion extends between the distal portion and the proximal portion. In an aspect, the distal portion comprises a first part and a second part. The first part is disposed at a distal end of the distal portion and the second part is disposed at a proximal end of the distal portion. The first part of the distal portion is cylindrical in shape and the second part is tapered such that a diameter of a second part proximal end is greater than a diameter of a second part distal end. The catheter device also integrates a built-in balloon at the first part of the distal end.
Catheter
A catheter according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a mesh member, a first hollow shaft, a front end tip, a guiding film, and a core wire. The mesh member has a tubular shape and is radially expandable and contractable. The guiding film is formed with a stretchable material and is disposed on the mesh member, the guiding film having a front end located between a base end of the front end tip and a front end of the first hollow shaft. A thickness of a base end of the guiding film is larger than a thickness of the front end of the guiding film.
Aspiration catheter systems and methods of use
Methods, systems, and devices for facilitation of intraluminal medical procedures within the neurovasculature including a catheter advancement element an inner diameter that is at least about 0.014″ up to about 0.024″ and an outer diameter having at least one snug point. A difference between the inner diameter of the distal, catheter portion and the outer diameter of the tubular portion at the snug point is no more than about 0.010″. A tip portion located distal to the at least one snug point of the tubular portion has a length and tapers along at least a portion of the length of the tip portion, wherein the tip portion has a distal point located a distance of at least 5 mm proximal from the distal-most end of the catheter advancement element, the distal point having a bending force that is no greater than about 0.05 Newtons.
NON-OCCLUDING BALLOON FOR CARDIOVASCULAR DRUG DELIVERY
A non-occluding drug-coated balloon catheter device for use in a blood vessel transporting blood comprises a catheter shaft including a guidewire lumen, a fluid lumen and a connector port. A balloon is mounted on the catheter shaft and includes an outer envelope surrounding the guidewire lumen in fluid communication with the fluid lumen; a drug coating applied on the exterior surface of the outer envelope; and at least one bypass lumen forming a passage extending from the proximal end of the outer envelope to the distal end of the outer envelope. When the balloon is positioned in a blood vessel and inflated, the exterior surface of the outer envelope presses the drug coating against the blood vessel and the bypass lumen is open between the distal end of the outer envelope and the proximal end of the outer envelope such that blood transport continues through the bypass lumen.
Collapsible catheter and method for calculating fractional flow reserve
A catheter for measuring a fractional flow reserve includes a proximal shaft, a distal shaft coupled to the proximal shaft, a pressure sensor coupled to the distal shaft, and at least one pressure sensor wire operably connected to the pressure sensor. The proximal shaft includes a radially expanded configuration and a radially collapsed configuration, wherein the proximal shaft has a first outer diameter in the radially expanded configuration and a second outer diameter smaller than the first outer diameter in the radially collapsed configuration. The distal shaft defines a guidewire lumen configured to receive a guidewire therein.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL ANGIOPLASTY AND ANGIOGRAPHY CATHETER CONVERTIBLE BETWEEN OVER-THE-WIRE AND RAPID-EXCHANGE CONFIGURATIONS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Disclosed is a multifunctional convertible catheter and methods of use, said multifunctional convertible catheter capable of performance of both diagnostic angiography while containing a guide wire throughout its lumen and angioplasty, and also being convertible between over-the-wire or rapid exchange configurations by manipulation of said multifunctional catheter and said guide wire by an operator. Whether used in an over-the-wire or rapid exchange configuration, a multifunctional convertible catheter disclosed herein allows the operator to perform angioplasty at any site in the body without use of an exchange length guide wire, without the need to exchange said convertible angioplasty balloon catheter for a diagnostic catheter pre- or post-angioplasty, without the need of an injectable vascular sheath, all while reducing catheter inventory requirements for the health care system.
