KINK RESISTANT PEEL AWAY SHEATH
Devices and methods for providing a kink resistant peel away sheath are disclosed. One device includes a sheath for insertion into a vasculature of a patient. The sheath comprises a sheath body having an outer surface, a longitudinal axis and a lumen formed therethrough. The sheath body comprises an inner layer arranged about the longitudinal axis, an outer layer coaxially arranged with the inner layer, and a support layer positioned between the inner and outer layers, wherein the inner, outer and support layers are laminated together to form the sheath body. The sheath also comprises at least one shear line positioned beneath the outer surface of the sheath body, and configured to facilitate the longitudinal separation of the sheath body along the at least one shear line.
Single Lumen Microcatheter for Executing Plugs near Distal Terminus of Lumen and Method
A nonlimiting method for injecting embolics utilizing an optimized plug and push technique, using a device having side holes which creates a plug upstream of the distal-most portion of said micro-catheters and thereby ameliorates the suboptimal outcomes associated with creating a plug upstream of a distal end hole via injecting embolics only at the distal-most portion of said catheters. A method of using same
SHEATH DEVICE FOR INSERTING A CATHETER
In a sheath device for inserting a catheter into a patient's body, comprising a first sheath having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein when used as intended the distal end of the first sheath is provided for arrangement in the patient's body and the proximal end of the first sheath is provided for arrangement outside the patient's body, and wherein the first sheath comprises a tubular section and a sheath housing, which is disposed at the proximal end of the section and comprises a receiving channel for a catheter, according to the invention the tubular section is detachably held in a clamping element of the sheath housing in a non-positive manner so as to be able to easily shorten the tubular section.
CATHETER
The disclosed technology is directed to a catheter comprises a catheter main body. A sheath covers the catheter main body and is movable along the longitudinal axis with respect to the catheter main body. An operating unit is disposed at a proximal end portion of the sheath and is used to move the sheath and the catheter main body with respect to one another. The catheter main body includes a slit that is formed in an outer peripheral surface of a distal end portion and extends along the longitudinal axis from a slit distal end to a slit proximal end side. An outside diameter of the distal end portion of the catheter main body is larger than an inside diameter of a distal end portion of the sheath in a state in which the distal end portion of the catheter main body is housed in the sheath.
Variable flexibility catheter support frame
A guide catheter extension, including a push member having a lumen, a proximal end and a distal end; a tube frame defining a lumen therein, a longitudinal axis, and a proximal segment and a distal segment, wherein the tube frame comprises a plurality of cut patterns therein; and a tongue element extending from the proximal segment of the tube frame, wherein the tongue element is coupled to the push member.
Single lumen microcatheter for executing plugs near distal terminus of lumen
Micro-catheters and embolic agents offer better results in endovascular treatment of brain arteriovenous malformations. Using said micro-catheters and embolic agents generally requires the creating of a plug at the distal-most portion of said micro-catheters which regularly results in suboptimal results. The present invention teaches how to create and use a device which creates a plug downstream of the distal-most portion of said micro-catheters and thereby ameliorates the suboptimal outcomes associated with creating a plug at the distal-most portion of said micro-catheters.
BLOOD CONTROL SEPTUM AND RELATED SYSTEMS
A catheter assembly may include a catheter adapter, which may include a distal end, a proximal end, and a lumen extending therethrough. The catheter assembly may also include a septum slidably disposed within the lumen. The septum may include a distal end, a proximal end, and a barrier disposed between the distal end of the septum and the proximal end of the septum. The barrier may divide an interior of the septum into a distal cavity and a proximal cavity. A distal face of the barrier may include a protrusion. The barrier may include a slit extending through the protrusion for selectively opening fluid communication between the distal cavity and the proximal cavity.
Catheter with formed guide wire ramp
A rapid exchange catheter comprises a guide wire lumen including a substantially sealed portion in which a lumen wall extends around an entire periphery thereof and a channel portion including a channel opening the lumen to an exterior of the catheter, wherein a width of the channel is less than a maximum width of the channel portion. A guide wire ramp extends into the channel portion, with the ramp extending further into the lumen of the channel portion as a distal end of the ramp is approached.
DRAINAGE CATHETER
The drainage catheter according to the examples of the present invention comprises a first induction conduit; and a second induction conduit having a circumference part surrounding the first induction conduit, in which a cut part is formed so that a front edge of the first induction conduit is exposed to the outside.
DILATOR WITH SLIT AND SLIDABLE SLEEVE
The invention includes a dilator comprising a tube and an elastic, unitary sleeve that is slidable both longitudinally and transversely to the cylindrical barrel when disposed on the tube.
