Exit Sign Shade for Classroom Viewing Window
A shade adapted for covering a classroom viewing window and assisting with compliance with emergency protocol during an emergency is disclosed. The shade may include a plurality folds connected to each other by a plurality of hinges configured to cover a classroom viewing window. Emergency related information and status indicators may be revealed upon the unfolding of the shade to assist teachers, school officials, police, and others to comply with established school emergency protocol. The shade further fulfills the requirement that the classroom viewing window be covered during an emergency lockdown. The shade may function as a standard Exit sign during non-emergency time.

A blind comprises an edge strip, at least two guide cords connected at their first end to the edge strip, and a screen whose first edge is provided with a first edge profile and whose second edge is provided with a second edge profile, wherein the guide cords extend through the edge profiles. The blind further comprises lifting means for coiling, uncoiling, and storing the coiled guide cord, the second ends of the guide cords being fastened to the lifting means. A terrace or balcony glazing system comprises a frame with an upper guide track and a lower guide track as well as glazing elements, wherein at least some of the glazing elements are movable along the upper guide track and the lower guide track. The glazing system also comprises at least one above-described blind which is fastened to the frame of the glazing system, separately from the glazing elements.
MOTORIZED WINDOW TREATMENT
A motorized window treatment for controlling the amount of daylight entering a space through a window includes a covering material, a drive shaft, and a motor coupled to the drive shaft for raising and lowering the covering material. The window treatment also includes a spring assist unit for assisting the motor by providing a torque that equals the torque provided by the weight on the cords that lift the covering material at a position midway between fully-open and fully-closed positions to minimize motor usage and conserve battery life. The window treatment may comprise a photosensor for measuring the amount of daylight outside the window and temperature sensors for measuring the temperatures inside and outside of the window. The position of the covering material may be automatically controlled in response to the photosensor and the temperature sensors, or in response to an infrared or radio-frequency remote control.

The invention relates to a screen, comprising a first control unit (610) comprising a first drive shaft (612) and at least one first cord spool (630) rotatable with the first drive shaft for winding and unwinding a first lift cord (634) extending between a head rail and a middle rail; a second control unit (620) comprising a second drive shaft (622), and at least one second cord spool (632) rotatable with the second drive shaft for winding and unwinding a second lift cord (636) extending between the head rail and the bottom rail; and a shaft rotation limiting system (100) comprising a threaded shaft arranged on and rotatable in unison with one of the first and the second drive shafts, a coupling element threaded on said threaded shaft, wherein the coupling element is associated with and rotatable in unison with the other drive shaft.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SOLAR POWERED SMART WINDOWS
A solar powered smart window includes a light diffuser configured to convert an incident direct solar radiation to a diffusive light toward interior direction, a light diffuser positioner, a driving mechanism, a solar panel, and a control unit. The control unit moved the light diffuser from a predetermined opened position to a closed position and to hold the light diffuser at the closed position with latch mechanism, when the output power of the solar panel exceeds a threshold for over a duration time. The controller releases the latch mechanism and to cause the light diffuser to return to the predetermined opened position when the output power lowers below threshold for over the duration time. A method includes storing a predetermined condition, monitoring the output power, comparing the output power with the predetermined conditions, making decision whether a positional transition is necessary, and causing the transitional transition or maintaining current position.
VERTICAL BLIND ASSEMBLY
A modular shade includes at least one module that consists of a head rail unit, a foot rail unit, at least one intermediate rail unit, and a plurality of slat components. A top slat may be coupled to the head rail unit and the intermediate rail unit, and a bottom slat component may be coupled to the intermediate rail unit and the foot rail unit. Further, additional intermediate rail units and intermediate slat components may be added to the module to alter the shape and size of the module, and the module may be coupled to one or more additional modules to change the overall shape and size of the modular shade.
Electric screen device
This electric screen device is provided with an electric motor that causes slidable screen mounting frame part(s) to automatically slide. Torque generated by rotation of a rotation shaft of the electric motor is transmitted to a tension member that is provided inside the screen mounting frame parts, that connects screen guiding frame parts to each other at free ends thereof, and that forms a loop. The tension member moves in a state of being hung around the folded portions which apply tension to the tension member. The slidable screen mounting frame part(s) automatically slide in association with movement of the tension member. Thus, the screen automatically opens and closes.
SELF-GENERATING SMART GLASS
Provided is a self-generating smart glass, including: a window frame, an outer glass and an inner glass, a plurality of solar panels, a first electric telescopic rod, a plurality of slide grooves which are symmetrically arranged on a top and a bottom of the window frame, a foldable plate located between the outer glass and the inner glass, a first battery, a light sensor and a control system. Two adjacent outer surfaces of the foldable plate are provided with the solar panels which are connected in series through flexible wires and communicated with the first battery. The first electric telescopic rod, the light sensor and the control system are respectively connected to the power supply; and the first electric telescopic rod and the light sensor are respectively connected to the control system.
VALANCE ASSEMBLY
A valance kit and mounting assembly secure a valance adjacent a window frame. A mounting block is securable in a clamp ring cavity of the window frame and includes a snap connector on the frame side thereof and a valance groove in each of the top and bottom sides thereof. The valance grooves extend in a width direction across the mounting block and have a depth dimension parallel with a plane of the window opening. A valance assembly includes a plurality of shrouds that together define the valance. Each of the shrouds is provided with a pair of snap ridges disposed facing each other and spaced substantially corresponding to a space between the top and bottom sides of the mounting block. The snap ridges are sized and positioned to engage the valance grooves in a snap fit. The universal mounting block is suitable for mounting various types of window treatments.
