Balloon catheter assisted by pulling a puller-wire
A medical instrument includes a shaft, a distal-end assembly and a puller-wire. The shaft is configured for insertion into a body of a patient. The distal-end assembly, which is coupled to the shaft, includes a telescopic assembly, configured to elongate so as to collapse the distal-end assembly, and to compress so as to expand the distal-end assembly. The distal-end assembly further includes an elastic element, coupled to self-elongate and thus elongate the telescopic assembly. The distal-end assembly also includes an inflatable balloon, which is coupled to the telescopic assembly and is configured to collapse by the telescopic assembly elongating, and to expand by the telescopic assembly compressing. The puller-wire runs through the shaft and is connected to a distal end of the telescopic assembly, and is configured, when pulled, to compress the telescopic assembly.
Flexible double lumen tube and a tube coupling system for same
A tube coupling component (4;6) serves for use in a tube coupling system and an irrigation system. The tube coupling component (4;6) comprises a male coupling part (12) opposite a respective female coupling part (11), or a first end fitting (33) opposite a respective second end fitting (34), which tube coupling component (4;6) has an interior pipe (13;31) that extends axially inside an exterior pipe (14;32), wherein the interior pipe (13;31) and the exterior pipe (14;32) are concentric.
Apparatus and method for everting catheter for IUD delivery and placement in the uterine cavity
An everting balloon system is disclosed that can be used for the placement of an IUD within the uterine cavity of a female patient. The everting balloon system with IUD can be used to access a uterine cavity at specific locations in the fundus. A one-handed IUD delivery system for placement with an everting catheter is disclosed. An IUD loading system for placement within an everting catheter is disclosed. The everting catheter with an IUD can simplify the process of IUD placement within the uterine cavity.
CATHETER
A catheter includes: an outer tube that includes a lumen; an inner tube that is inserted into the lumen and has a base end portion joined to an intermediate position of the outer tube in an axis direction; a core wire that is inserted into the lumen and extends to a tip end of the outer tube beyond the base end portion; and a securing portion that is disposed at an intermediate position of an overlapping range in the axis direction, the inner tube and the core wire overlapping each other in the overlapping range, and secures the inner tube or the core wire to the outer tube.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOW-PROFILE OCCLUSION BALLOON CATHETER
An occlusion catheter system includes a proximal hub having an inflation connection port and an inflation pathway. An inflation catheter member is connected to the proximal hub and has an inflation lumen. A stiffener member defines a longitudinal axis. The proximal end of the stiffener member is connected to the proximal hub. The stiffener member extends through a portion of the inflation lumen. An occlusion balloon has a proximal balloon end and a distal balloon end. A distal catheter member is positioned substantially on the longitudinal axis and is connected to the distal end of the stiffener member. An atraumatic tip is positioned on a distal end of the distal catheter member. The atraumatic tip has a substantially circular profile in a relaxed configuration. A pressure sensor is connected to the occlusion catheter system distally relative to the occlusion balloon and is connected to a processor by electrical wiring.
MEDICAL TOOL POSITIONING DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE
Steerable medical devices that include one or more elongate shafts and a medical tool in a distal region. The medical devices include a handle portion for controlling one or more aspects of the medical device.
Catheter
A catheter according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a mesh member, a first hollow shaft, a front end tip, a guiding film, and a core wire. The mesh member has a tubular shape and is radially expandable and contractable. The guiding film is formed with a stretchable material and is disposed on the mesh member, the guiding film having a front end located between a base end of the front end tip and a front end of the first hollow shaft. A thickness of a base end of the guiding film is larger than a thickness of the front end of the guiding film.
Single lumen reduced profile occlusion balloon catheter
Balloon catheter devoid of guidewire or guidewire lumen and having a proximal shaft with only a single continuous lumen. A coil assembly is mounted at its proximal end to the distal end of the proximal shaft defining an interface therebetween. Disposed about a distal section of the proximal shaft and a proximal section of the coil assembly is a sleeve. A balloon, having a vent hole, forms a proximal leg seal about an outer surface of a distal end of the sleeve and an opposite distal leg seal. The sleeve covers the interface and extends axially in a distal direction terminating underneath the proximal leg seal of the balloon. A distal section of the coil assembly at least partially coincides with the distal leg seal of the balloon. A wire member secured at a plurality of connection points along the coil assembly extends axially within the balloon.
Balloon catheter systems and methods
The embodiments disclosed herein relate to balloon catheter assemblies. The balloon catheter assemblies can include a hub, an elongated member, and an inflation balloon. The balloon catheter assemblies can also include a support wire having a proximal end that is longitudinally displaceable within a sleeve that is disposed in the catheter hub. A distal end of the support wire may be coupled to the inflation balloon at one or more positions.
