Subsea equipment alignment device
Systems and methods for coupling subsea tubular members together are provided. An apparatus may be used to properly orient and/or provide communication between a first subsea tubular member that is being landed on a second subsea tubular member. An apparatus for coupling subsea tubular members may include an alignment sub and a corresponding alignment member. The alignment sub includes: a generally cylindrical body having one or more fluid, electric, or fiber optic lines extending therethrough, one or more couplings coupled to at least one end of the alignment sub, and an orientation profile disposed on a surface of the alignment sub. The alignment member has a profile designed to interface with the orientation profile of the alignment sub. One of the alignment sub and the alignment member remains stationary while the other rotates relative to the stationary structure.
EXPLOSIVE ENVIRONMENT TERMINATION OF WELLHEAD CABLES
Technologies are generally described for apparatus, systems, and methods to reduce cost and simplify couplings for wellhead equipment and related cable assemblies. The wellhead equipment is placed on a well that is bored into the ground. The wellhead cable may employ a splice assembly that includes a downhole cable, a surface cable, and a conduit. The surface cable is spliced with the downhole cable below a wellhead hanger. The conduit may be configured to contain the surface cable and terminate in the explosion-proof conduit box located at the surface. An inner space of the conduit may be sealed below the wellhead hanger. The conduit may be break-free, or contiguous, between the wellhead hanger and the explosion-proof box.
WELLHEAD ELECTRICAL FEED-THRU PENETRATOR WITH SEALING, BREAKAWAY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF INSTALLATION
An improved wellhead electrical connection assembly utilizing upper and lower retention mechanisms to minimize pressure and fluid leakage in the event of a tubing part or other failure. The upper retention mechanism ensures the connection assembly remains within a tubing hanger. The lower retention mechanism provides a secure connection to a downhole cable that can breakaway without damaging or dislodging other components of the assembly during an emergency event.

Tubing hanger alignment device
Systems and methods for landing a tubing hanger in a wellhead and then orienting a tubular housing (e.g., tree, spool, or flowline connection body) relative to the tubing hanger while landing the tubular housing on the wellhead are provided. The systems may include a tubing hanger alignment device, wherein the tubing hanger alignment device includes one or more hydraulic, electric, or fiber optic lines extending therethrough and one or more couplings disposed on a lower end thereof. The tubing hanger alignment device is configured to couple one or more hydraulic, electric, or fiber optic lines on the tubular housing with one or more hydraulic, electric, or fiber optic couplings on the tubing hanger during landing of the tubular housing onto the wellhead regardless of a relative orientation of the tubing hanger and the tubular housing with respect to the wellhead.
Disconnectable pressure-preserving electrical connector and method of installation
The present disclosure provides a dis-connectable wellhead hanger arrangement permitting a pig tail set of electrical conductors to be inserted within the wellhead hanger arrangement which seals against the wellhead hanger upon separation of an electrical power cable; or alternatively, through an exterior pressure-preserving housing. If the power cable separates from the production tubing for any reason, the compressively fit plugs disconnect the power cable from the pathway leaving the electrical mandrel sealed within the wellhead hanger or housing, thereby sealing the wellhead hanger from loss of fluid after separation.
Tool catcher system
A tool catcher system that includes a housing. The housing defines a bore that receives a tool. The tool catcher system includes a plurality of ring segments that move radially inward and radially outward to selectively couple to and uncouple from the tool. A spring plate supports the plurality of ring segments. An actuator plate couples to the spring plate. A plurality of shafts couple the actuator plate to the spring plate. An actuator system moves the actuator plate and the spring plate in a first direction to release the tool.
Tubing hanger alignment device with helical slot alignment mechanism
Systems and methods for landing a tubing hanger in a wellhead and then orienting a tree (or spool, or flowline connection body) relative to the tubing hanger while landing the tree on the wellhead are provided. This alignment is accomplished without the use of either a tubing spool or a BOP stack with an orientation pin. The tubing hanger alignment devices may be used to orientate the tree as the tree is landed so that the couplings and stabs between the tree and the tubing hanger line up with each other just at the moment of landing.
