20210017826 · 2021-01-21 · ·

A hanger running tool configured to set a hanger assembly within a wellhead includes a rotatable tool configured to couple to the hanger assembly via a first threaded interface having a first orientation. The hanger running tool also includes an outer sleeve coupled to the rotatable tool, and the outer sleeve includes one or more slots configured to engage a drive ring coupled to the hanger assembly via a second threaded interface having a second orientation opposite the first orientation. Rotation of the rotatable tool in a first direction is configured to loosen the rotatable tool from the hanger assembly while causing the one or more slots of the outer sleeve to drive the drive ring in the first direction, thereby tightening the drive ring about the hanger assembly and causing the drive ring to drive a lock ring radially-outwardly to engage a corresponding recess of the wellhead.

TORQUE RELEASE TUBING ROTATOR, TUBING HANGER, AND SYSTEM

The disclosure provides a torque release tubing rotator comprising a rotator body and a split drive mandrel rotatably coupled to the rotator body. The split drive mandrel receives and engages at least a portion of a tubing hanger. The split drive mandrel comprises an outer driven portion, an inner mandrel portion, and a one-way locking mechanism coupling the outer driven portion and the inner mandrel portion. The disclosure also provides a torque release tubing hanger for a tubing rotator comprising an outer housing, a tubing mandrel suspended from the outer housing, and a locking swivel rotatably coupled to the outer housing. The locking swivel is movable between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration. A bi-directional coupling is also provided. The disclosure also provides a torque release tubing rotator system comprising the tubing rotator and tubing hanger.

ONE TRIP LOCKDOWN SLEEVE AND RUNNING TOOL

A lockdown sleeve and a running tool that may be used to install the lockdown sleeve within a wellhead in a single trip are provided. The lockdown sleeve, may include two pieces that are rotatably coupled together via threads such that the axial length of the lockdown sleeve can be adjusted by rotation of one portion of the lockdown sleeve relative to the other. The running tool may lower the lockdown sleeve into the wellhead, actuate the lockdown sleeve to lock against an inner wall of the high-pressure wellhead housing and subsequently adjust the length of the lockdown sleeve so that the lockdown sleeve is fully landed on the casing hanger and applying any desired pre-load to the connection.

WELLHEAD SYSTEM
20240003212 · 2024-01-04 · ·

A wellhead system includes a wellhead assembly which is generally tubular, a landing string assembly, and an orientation sensor assembly which is mounted on the landing string assembly. The wellhead assembly is secured to a top of a borehole and has an orientation engagement part. The landing string assembly is lowered into the wellhead assembly to land in the wellhead assembly. The landing string assembly has an orientation part with an orientation feature. The orientation engagement part of the wellhead assembly corresponds to the orientation feature. As the landing string assembly is lowered into the wellhead assembly, the orientation feature engages with the orientation engagement part to rotate the landing string assembly about its longitudinal axis into a desired orientation relative to the wellhead assembly. The orientation sensor assembly measures an angular rotation of the landing string assembly about its longitudinal axis.

Modular bowl with swivel configuration

The modular bowl system provides a detachable bowl top and a modular bottom. The bowl top detaches to allow for easy repair of the bowl system should the bowl top become damaged. The detachable modular bottom securing to the bowl body for attaching the bowl body to the annular. The modular bottom provides a fixed attachment or a rotatable attachment of the bowl body with the annular. The modular bottom provides different sized bottom flanges for attachment to different sized annulars. The bowl body rotates for positioning of the bowl and the outlets and the inlet of the bowl for attachment to the flow line.

Containment systems for sealing a pass-through in a well, and methods therefore

A system formed to provide sealed passage therethrough for cables, lines, tubes or the like through the wellhead and down-hole applications. A unitary or split/wrap around hanger is provided having a main seal formed to receive and provide sealed pass-through of power and control cables, lines, conduits, or other components threaded therethrough, which main seal may have various profiles to accommodate diverse component configurations. Hinged side doors engage and support various configuration (via interchangeable inserts) and/or size components such as cable(s), line(s), conduit(s), etc. in the hanger to engage components threaded therethrough. A bowl cap, tubing adapter or other surface component with adapters is provided to allow sealed-pass through of components therethrough, and swivel flanges provide an option to ease installation.

A hanger system for providing sealed passage for cables, lines, tubes or the like through a wellhead is provided. The hanger has a main seal formed to receive and provide sealed pass-through of power and control cables, lines, conduits, or other threaded components therethrough, while effectively packing off and sealing the well bore. The hanger is provided with hinged side doors formed to engage and support the components. When the hanger with threaded components is positioned to rest in the bowl of the tubing head, the lower string weight is utilized to compress the main seal, providing an effective seal. The present system is suitable for use with permanent as well as temporary applications, and is designed to provide a low to medium pressure seal. Also taught is a bowl cap with compression seal to cover the present system, while providing enhanced, sealed pass-through.

Quick disconnect stripper packer coupling assembly

A stripper packer coupling assembly can include a packer operable to receive a tubular therethrough and form a seal about the tubular. The packer can comprise a plurality of coupling protrusions, each having a coupling head defining a first capture interface. Additionally, the stripper packer coupling assembly can include a capture mechanism. The capture mechanism can comprise a guide member having a plurality of guide openings, each operable to receive one of the plurality of coupling heads therein. The capture mechanism can also comprise a plurality of capture members, each defining a second capture interface. Capture members can be operably coupled to one another such that they are simultaneously movable relative to the guide member and the coupling protrusions between a capture position and a release position. In the release position, the capture members can facilitate passage of the coupling heads through the guide openings. In the capture position, the first and second capture interface surfaces engage to mechanically interfere with passage of the coupling heads through the guide openings.

Swivel device for rotating a bowl
