Polish rod leveling assembly
A leveling assembly that is capable of lubrication without separating the individual leveling plates. The leveling assembly comprising: a first plate having a convex curved surface having a curvature, the first plate defining a central bore therethrough; a second plate having a concave curved surface shaped to mate with the convex curved surface; the second plate defining a central bore therethrough. One of the first or second plates defines a lubrication passageway extending from a first opening on an exterior surface thereof to a second opening on the curved surface, and a lubrication groove extending from the second opening to the central bore of the plate with the lubrication passageway.
GEAR ROD ROTATOR SYSTEMS AND RELATED SYSTEMS, SENSORS, AND METHODS
Sensor systems for sucker rod pump systems and gear rod rotator systems may include one or more sensor modules comprising a sensor including at least one of a position sensor, a temperature sensor, a pressure sensor, or a vibration sensor for detecting a characteristic related to at least one component of the sucker rod pump systems or the gear rod rotator system.
ELONGATED FLOW STOPPER AND CHECK VALVE THEREOF
A flow stopper has an elongated shape for positioning in a tubular cavity of a check valve. The elongated shape has a concave section such that the flow stopper can impact a line running along an inner surface of a housing forming the tubular cavity in a lengthwise direction of the tubular cavity. The concave section allows the flow stopper to impact the housing with a first point of contact and a second point of contact on the line, and the two points of contact are separated by a gap where the flow stopper does not contact the housing. The flow stopper may include a first and a second ball where the balls are connected by a stem. The flow stopper may also include a plurality of balls that are not connected to each other. The flow stopper may include a ball connected to a stem.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING A POLISHED ROD ALIGNMENT TOOL
A tool configured to align a polished rod within a carrier bar of a pumpjack is described. While this tool can include any suitable component, in some cases, it includes a cylindrical member having an internal conduit, allowing the cylindrical member to wrap around and receive the polished rod. In some cases, the cylindrical member has a top having a first outer diameter, and a bottom having a second, larger outer diameter. In some cases, the cylindrical member comprises one, two, or more discrete pieces. In some cases, a flange extends horizontally from the bottom of the cylindrical member, to be disposed at a bottom portion of the carrier bar. In some cases, the cylindrical member comprises a slit that extends from the top to the bottom of the cylindrical member to allow the member to be opened and to receive the polished rod. Additional implementations are described.
LONG-STROKE PUMPING UNIT
A long-stroke pumping unit includes a tower; a counterweight assembly movable along the tower; a crown mounted atop the tower; a sprocket supported by the crown and rotatable relative thereto; and a belt. The unit further includes a motor having a stator mounted to the crown and a rotor torsionally connected to the sprocket; and a sensor for detecting position of the counterweight assembly. The pumping unit may include a dynamic control system for controlling a speed of a motor.
Sliding standoff assembly
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a standoff assembly for a sucker rod used for sucker rod pumps. The assembly includes an annulus body, a hole that passes through the annulus body, the hole configured to permit a sucker rod to translate through the hole, a sliding material component located along the surface of the hole, and a temporary component; wherein upon elimination of the temporary component, the sliding material component interacts with the sucker rod to reduce sliding friction as the sucker rod translates through the assembly.
Stuffing Box Environmental Seal
An annular seal configured to prevent fluid from outside the wellbore from entering a well head stuffing box and tripping an anti-pollution control device. The seal comprising an elastomeric material and having a seam configured to allow the seal to installed on or in a stuffing box without dismantling well-head equipment.
Oil-well pump instrumentation device and method
A pumpjack monitor includes a processor and memory, a communicator for communicating with other monitors and a server, a sensor module having at least one strain gauge, and accelerometers for determining vibration and position of the monitor. Other sensors may be internal, including sensors for polished-rod rotation, and linked to the monitoring device wirelessly. Some embodiments serve as network hubs or bridges for other monitors. The server is configured to generate surface cards. A method for monitoring of pumpjacks uses the monitor to sense changes in pumpjack parameters, and communicate the changes to a server when changes exceed configurable thresholds. Some embodiments include determining location with GPS and/or relaying signals from other monitoring devices, smart power management, gas sensing, and relaying of signals from external wireless-equipped sensors such as valve position sensors, oil level sensors, and pressure sensors.
Operating tool for an artificial lift system
An operating tool for an artificial lift system includes a housing having a key slot. The operating tool further includes at least one biasing member disposed in the housing. The operating tool further includes a key including a key head having a key profile, wherein the key head is remove from the slot when aligned with the key slot. The operating tool further includes a cam including a cam profile, wherein the cam is disposed in the housing and biased toward the slot by the at least one biasing member, wherein the cam profile is configured to engage the key profile to align the key head with the key slot.
SURFACE DRIVEN DOWNHOLE PUMP SYSTEM
Systems to drive a downhole pump include an enclosure body with a magnetically transparent wall. A magnetic driver or a stationary member with coil windings in slots is disposed outside the enclosure body. A magnetic follower or a movable member with one or more permanent magnets is disposed inside the enclosure body such that the magnetic follower or movable member is exposed to a different environment compared to the magnetic driver or stationary member. The magnetic driver and magnetic follower, or the stationary member and movable member, are separated by a gap containing at least a portion of the magnetically transparent wall. A prime mover is operatively coupled to the magnetic driver. A rod couples the magnetic follower or the movable member to the downhole pump. Movement of the rod with the magnetic follower or the movable member operates the pump.
