An annular seal configured to prevent fluid from outside the wellbore from entering a well head stuffing box and tripping an anti-pollution control device. The seal comprising an elastomeric material and having a seam configured to allow the seal to installed on or in a stuffing box without dismantling well-head equipment.

A reciprocating rod pump system, comprising an articulating plunger assembly having a plurality of plunger segments, each having a pin end and a box end, and a ball and socket articulating connector formed between the pin end of one plunger segment and the box end of another plunger segment. The articulating connector is formed from a collar rigidly attached to the pin end, which defines a socket, the collar comprising an internal shoulder which abuts an external shoulder on the plunger pin end, such that the uppermost end of the collar does not contact the plunger segment, and a plunger nipple comprising a ball adapted to fit and rotate within the socket, and a shank which rigidly engages the box end thread of a plunger segment.

A method of separating gas from a fluid mixture in a production stream of a well where the method includes using an outer tube and an inner tube positioned concentrically with the outer tube to separate gas and liquid from a mixture. The production stream is directed through the outer tube and into a space between a well casing of the well and the outer tube where gas in the production stream can separate from fluid in the production stream. The separated fluid is then directed through the inner tube to a pump.

The present invention relates to a plug and valve integrated cone valve pump with combined type movable and fixed three cylinders and two spiral centralizers, which is applied to suction working conditions in highly deviated well sections. It comprises three pump cylinders, which are combined type including two fixed cylinders and a dynamic cylinder, two centralizers, which are combined type including a dynamic spiral centralizer and fixed spiral centralizer, a fixed cone valve, a cylinder and plug integrated springing fixed cone valve, a fixed plunger and a movable guide rod cone valve to solve the problems such as stuck pump, eccentric wear between plunger and pump cylinder and valve leakage.

A pump that is configured to lift fluids through a tubing string includes a gas mitigation system and a screen flush module. The gas mitigation system has a canister with an interior and an intake screen. The gas mitigation system further includes an intake tube that extends into the canister. The screen flush module is configured to flush solids particles trapped in the intake screen.

A leveling assembly that is capable of lubrication without separating the individual leveling plates. The leveling assembly comprising: a first plate having a convex curved surface having a curvature, the first plate defining a central bore therethrough; a second plate having a concave curved surface shaped to mate with the convex curved surface; the second plate defining a central bore therethrough. One of the first or second plates defines a lubrication passageway extending from a first opening on an exterior surface thereof to a second opening on the curved surface, and a lubrication groove extending from the second opening to the central bore of the plate with the lubrication passageway.

A pipe connector that includes a body with opposed connection portions for connecting two pipes is provided. A protective portion extends along at least a portion of an inside surface intermediate the connection portions. The protective portion includes a protective material that is less abrasive to a rod string than the body. An inside diameter of the connector along at least a portion of the protective portion is equal to or narrower than an inside diameter at other portions of the connector for preferentially contacting the rod string with the protective material over other portions of the body. The connector may include an extended gripping portion for gripping with power tongs, and may further include a reinforced portion for increasing resistance of the pipe connector to deformation when threadedly connected with a tubing joint with the connector.

Methods for monitoring and diagnosing the operation of a deviated oil well pumping system comprising sucker rod string driven by a polished rod, as well as devices for carrying out such methods, are described. The methods employ mathematical models incorporating phenomena not contemplated in the methods of the prior art, providing advantageous results for the adequate operation of a non-vertical oil well.

A leveling assembly that is capable of lubrication without separating the individual leveling plates. The leveling assembly comprising: a first plate having a convex curved surface having a curvature, the first plate defining a central bore therethrough; a second plate having a concave curved surface shaped to mate with the convex curved surface; the second plate defining a central bore therethrough. One of the first or second plates defines a lubrication passageway extending from a first opening on an exterior surface thereof to a second opening on the curved surface, and a lubrication groove extending from the second opening to the central bore of the plate with the lubrication passageway.

A stuffing box for an artificial lift system includes a primary housing having threads. The stuffing box also includes at least one primary seal disposed within the primary housing, in which the at least one primary seal is configured to engage a polish rod. The stuffing box includes a secondary housing having threads. The stuffing box also includes at least one secondary seal disposed within the secondary housing, in which the at least one secondary seal is configured to engage the polish rod. The threads of the secondary housing are configured to engage the threads of the primary housing to couple the secondary housing to the primary housing, and the secondary housing is configured to compress the at least one primary seal via rotation of the secondary housing relative to the primary housing while the threads of the secondary housing are engaged with the threads of the primary housing.
