Each cutting assembly includes a rotatable cutting head and a mounting assembly for movably attaching the cutting head to the support structure. The cutting head is movable about a first pivot axis of the mounting assembly in a sideways direction relative to the support structure, and about a second pivot axis in an upwards-downwards direction. Each cutting head includes a plurality of cutting units, which each have a rotatable shaft and a cutter mounted thereon. The cutter includes a disc body and a plurality of buttons mounted in a radially peripheral portion of the disc body. At least some of the buttons have a central longitudinal axis that subtends an angle α to a reference axis, which extends perpendicularly outwards from an axis of the shaft, the angle α being ≥to 20° and ≤to 34°.
Machine supporting rock cutting device
A machine for excavating rock includes a frame, a cutting device, and a boom. The cutting device includes a cutting disc having a cutting edge, and the cutting disc is rotatable about a cutting device axis. The boom supports the cutting device and includes a first end, a second end, and a boom axis substantially parallel to the cutting device axis. The boom further includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is coupled to the frame for rotation about a first pivot axis between a raised position and a lowered position. The second portion is coupled to the cutting device, and the second portion is pivotable about a second pivot axis between a raised position and a lowered position.
Cutter head for mining machine
A cutter head includes a first member, a cutting bit, and a second member. The first member includes a first end and a second end and includes a first mass. The cutting bit is coupled to the first member proximate the second end. The cutting bit includes a cutting edge rotatable about the axis. The second member is rotatable about the axis and includes a second mass eccentrically positioned with respect to the axis. Rotation of the second mass causes the first member and the cutting bit to oscillate.
Travelling-type tunnel hard-rock micro-damage cutting equipment and construction method associated therewith
A travelling-type tunnel hard-rock micro-damage cutting equipment and a construction method associated therewith are provided. The cutting equipment includes: a crawler-type trolley; and a hard-rock drilling construction apparatus, a hard-rock cutting construction apparatus, a self-unloading tipping bucket and a visual operation terminal all arranged on the crawler-type trolley. The hard-rock cutting construction apparatus includes: a cutting manipulation room, a rock-breaking power arm, and a hard-rock cutting device including a hydraulic steel robs, a signal sensor, an infrared lens and a light source assembly. The infrared lens and the light source assembly are arranged at the front end of the hard-rock cutting device, and a working image can be transmitted to the visual operation terminal through the signal sensor. The cutting equipment can accurately and efficiently cut a rock mass, and the cut rock mass can be reused according to secondary processing conditions of rock to improve economic benefits.
Method for removing material from a rock wall
A method for removing material from a rock wall. The method includes moving a cutting edge through the rock wall to create a first slot in the rock wall, moving the cutting edge through the rock wall to create a second slot in the rock wall, the second slot being separated from the first slot by an uncut portion, the uncut portion defining a base surface attached to the wall, cutting a notch into the base surface of the uncut portion, and applying a force on the uncut portion to break the uncut portion away from the wall.
CUTTING APPARATUS
A cutter head for excavating hard rock materials in rock face includes a carrier attachable to a cutter arm of a cutter machine and a drive shaft rotatably supported by the carrier. The drive shaft is rotatable about a drive axis and has at one end a support portion for mounting disc cutters. A plurality of disc cutters are mounted on the support portion and configured to perform undercutting against the rock face. Each disc cutter is rotatable about a respective support axis, the respective rotational axis of each disc cutter being configured to be substantially transverse to the rotational axis of the cutter head. A mining machine including the cutter head is also disclosed.
Mining machine with articulating boom and independent material handling system
A cutting assembly for a rock excavation machine including a frame. The cutting assembly includes a boom supported on the frame and a cutting device. In some aspects, the boom includes a first portion and a second portion, and the first portion includes a first structure and a second structure slidable relative to the first structure. The second portion includes a first member pivotably coupled to the second structure, and a second member pivotably coupled to the first member. The cutting device is supported on the second member. In some aspects, a material handling device is supported independently of the boom and movable between a retracted position and an extended position independent of the boom.
Six-Arm Tunneling and Anchoring Machine for Integrating Tunneling and Anchoring
Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a six-arm tunneling and anchoring machine for integrating tunneling and anchoring, which includes: a tunneling machine and a roof-bolter connected with each other.
