SWEAT PAD AND METHODS OF USING SAME
The present disclosure provides devices for preventing or absorbing fluid (e.g., sweat) and/or odors from the intergluteal cleft of a subject. In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides devices for treating or preventing hemorrhoids and methods of using same.
NITRIC OXIDE THERAPIES
A method for delivering nitric oxide therapy to a subject can include administering a composition including a nitric-oxide releasing agent and silica to the subject and releasing a therapeutic amount of nitric oxide from the composition.
Surgical sterilization system and method
A method of preparing a surgical site includes the steps of: disposing a preparation material with a selected surface of a patient body, the selected surface includes a sterile region having a boundary; engaging a first applicator with the selected surface and moving the first applicator along a path from a first incision site of the selected surface to the boundary; engaging a second surgical applicator with the selected surface and moving the second applicator along a path from a second incision site of the selected surface to the boundary, the path of the first applicator intersecting the path of the second applicator. In some embodiments, surgical systems and surgical instruments are disclosed.
Dispenser Actuator Assembly
A dispenser actuator assembly (100) for actuating a dispenser (10) is disclosed. The dispenser (10) is in the form of a glass ampoule assembly (10) having a rupturable glass ampoule (12) containing a flowable material (M). The glass ampoule (12) is contained within an outer container (14) wherein the outer container (14) has a first open end (22) and a second closed end (24). The glass ampoule assembly (10) has an applicator (16) positioned in the first open end (22). The dispenser actuator assembly (100) has a base member (102) configured to mount on the outer container (14). The dispenser actuator assembly (100) also has an actuator assembly (104) operably connected to the base member (102) wherein the actuator assembly (104) has a first actuator arm (132a) and a second actuator arm (132b) each pivotally connected to the base member (102). The first actuator arm (132a) and the second actuator arm (132b) extend from the base member (102) in generally opposed relation defining a first position. The first actuator arm (132a) has a first protrusion (150a) depending therefrom and the second actuator arm (132b) has a second protrusion (150b) depending therefrom. The first actuator arm (132a) and the second actuator arm (132b) are pivotable from the first position towards one another to a second position that is configured such that the first protrusion (150a) engages the outer container (14) and the second protrusion (150b) engages the outer container (14) to rupture the glass ampoule (12) wherein the flowable material (M) is configured to be dispensed from the glass ampoule assembly (10). The dispenser (10) can also be a plastic ampoule assembly (10) having a fracturable membrane (52) having a weld seam (56).
Application member and impregnation material
An application member includes a stimuli-responsive polymer that reversibly changes to being hydrophilic and to being hydrophobic in response to an external stimulus to allow impregnation and release of an active ingredient to be applied to the skin.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DELIVERY OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS
Described herein are devices for delivering pharmaceutical compositions to individuals in need thereof. Also described herein are methods of using the devices described herein to deliver pharmaceutical compositions to individuals in need thereof.
Butt Crack Swab
A butt crack swab with a pressed molded fiber substrate, a conformal flushable wipe and a binder material. The pressed molded fiber substrate is shaped to fit within the intergluteal cleft of a person and in close proximity to the cluneal cleft. The conformal flushable wipe is fused on top of the molded fiber substrate via the binder material. A preferred embodiment includes the pressed molded fiber substrate made of recyclable material.
APPLICATOR GLOVE FOR DISPENSING A LIQUID OR GEL
An applicator glove to apply a liquid or gel having to a surface comprising a liquid permeable fabric sufficiently permeable to allow transfusion of said liquid such as body wash, detergent, sterilizer, disinfectant, lotion, oil, wax or other viscous substance. The glove includes a pocket defined in a palm positioned of said glove, a bladder positioned in the pocket, a fill port in the bladder to allow filling of a fluid reservoir where the walls of the bladder has slits or orifices to allow fluid passage when exceeding a threshold pressure generated by hand pressure.
Negative pressure wound therapy system with detection of full absorbent dressing
A method for detecting a state of a dressing includes measuring air pressure within a tube. The tube provides airflow between a pump device and the dressing. The method also includes determining whether the air pressure differs from a pressure setpoint by more than a preset limit, and running the pump to cause the air pressure to approach the pressure setpoint. In response to a determination that the air pressure does not differ from the pressure setpoint by more than the preset limit, the method also includes determining a duration of time since a last running of the pump, determining whether the duration of time since the last running of the pump exceeds a threshold duration, and, in response to a determination that the duration of time since the last running of the pump exceeds the threshold duration, generating an alert that indicates that the dressing is full.
