Method and connector set for connecting beams of wood material
The invention relates to a method and to a connector set for connecting beams from wood material, in particular solid wood, glued laminated wood, laminated veneer wood, or plywood board, in particular for connections that are under a compressive as well as a tensile load, wherein a connector has at least one plate-shaped portion for insertion into prefabricated slots in the beam or the beams, wherein at least the plate-shaped portion of the connector is composed of synthetic resin densified wood, wherein the synthetic resin densified wood is composed of a plurality of hardwood layers disposed on top of one another and synthetic resin, and wherein wood screws for fixing the connector are provided.
Friction fit composite column
A composite assembly includes a series of elongated layers joined lengthwise thereof. At least two of the elongated layers each have an upper elongated portion and a lower elongated portion secured together in an end-to-end relationship at a joint therebetween by a connector arrangement. The upper elongated portion is constructed of a wood material, and the lower elongated portion is constructed of a non-wood material. The lower elongated portion may have a reinforcing rod therein.
Reinforced composite column
A building support column includes a lower assembly with a connection bracket that includes a bottom plate. A body that includes plastic defines an exterior perimeter about support rods that extend from the bottom plate of the connection bracket. An adjustment leg that includes a threaded portion is movable within a center hole of the body to define a distance between the foot and the bottom plate.

METAL JOINT AND PANEL JOINING METHOD
A metal joint for joining, to a frame built by appropriately combining a horizontal structural member and a vertical structural member, a rectangular panel fitted into the frame includes a base member made of a rectangular metal plate, and cylindrical members which are each made of a metal cylinder, and are fixed onto opposite surfaces of the base member. The base member is adapted to be disposed between the frame and the panel. The cylindrical members are adapted to be fitted into circular holes formed in the frame and the panel.
A supporting structure for a wall or roof partition
A supporting structure (102) for a wall or a roof partition (104;120) of a building structure (100), comprises an internal core structure (114) extending in a longitudinal direction, and first and second external covering profiles (106) for at least partially covering the core structure (114). The covering profiles (106) define inwardly and outwardly facing surfaces (108) facing one another, with slits (116) being formed at the inwardly facing surfaces (108). The core structure comprises at least two bands of material (114) which are mutually offset. The supporting structure (102) is suitable as a post, pillar, column, lath, batten, rafter, truss, girder, bar, or beam for a wall or roof partitions of a greenhouse, a cabin or shanty, a wall of a house, a stand-alone wall or roof partition, such as pent roof, a canopy, a fence, a windbreak or a solar panel structure The bands of material (114) are interconnected at their ends only and are pre-tensioned to provide stiffness, and may be configured to minimize their thermal conductivity.
PORTABLE CORE FACILITY FOR A BUILDING
A prefabricated building module constructed at a central location and delivered to a construction site via shipping using the intermodal freight transport system and having cold formed wood bracing walls to resist forces in shear and uplift while providing a continuous load path to the foundation system. The module may include interior walls to section the module into rooms and further comprises mechanical, electrical, utility and plumbing aspects of a building, capable of inspection and certification prior to delivery to the construction site. Once arrived at the construction site the building module is anchored to the building foundation and the remainder of the house is built around the building module.
Reinforced composite column
A building support column includes a lower assembly with a connection bracket with a bottom plate and first and second connection blades extending away from the bottom plate in a first direction. A body includes plastic and defines an exterior perimeter about a plurality of support rods extending from the bottom plate. A center hole through the body is aligned with a hole through the bottom plate. An upper assembly includes a plurality of elongated layers of wood secured to each other along elongated faces of the layers of wood. The connection bracket secures the upper assembly to the lower assembly with a connection blade extending between the elongated faces of adjacent elongated layers of the supper assembly. A reinforcement plate with a plurality of teeth that extend away from a first side of the plate into a single elongated layer of the plurality of elongated layers.
Concealed joist tie with sloped center flange
A connection between a first, supporting structural member, such as a post or header, and a second, supported structural member such as a joist or rafter is provided, wherein the connection is made with a connector and fasteners, the use of which can be substantially hidden from view. The connector is designed to be inserted in a slotted opening in the second, structural member and to attach to a surface of the first, supporting structural member.
Device for coupling walls and structure comprising such device
The present invention relates to an anchoring device for walls, comprising a plate-shaped metal element, and a plurality of holes passing through the plate-shaped metal element adapted to house elements fastening the plate-shaped metal element to a first and a second wall. The plate-shaped metal element has a substantially X geometrical shape with four curved arms that converge in a central connecting portion and comprises at least two holes on two distinct arms.
