A tattoo cartridge that includes opposing radial cutouts to allow a user's thumb and forefinger to rest securely in a non-slip manner on both sides of the cartridge. Additionally, the side walls of the cartridge include raised diamond shaped ridges for further grip control. Indices are molded into the side wall of the cartridge to easily identify the cartridge.

A needle module for a tattoo device includes a housing and a needle bundle. The housing comprises a first end for coupling to the tattoo device, a second end comprising a mouth, and a channel between the first and second ends. The needle bundle is moveably mounted in the channel of the housing and is reciprocally moveable in an axial direction between a retracted position and an extended position through the mouth. The mouth comprises at least two jaws. At least one of the jaws is flexible and flareable when radially biased by the needle bundle.

A wireless tattoo device is disclosed. The device includes an electronics housing, a control panel, a power source, and a motor assembly driven by the power source. A motor housing is attached to the electronics housing, and the motor housing defines a passage dimensioned to receive a portion of the motor assembly. A grip defines an opening dimensioned to receive an end of the motor housing. The motor housing is configured to receive a needle cartridge. The motor housing and the grip are rotatable relative to each other such that a depth of the needle cartridge relative to the grip varies based on a relative rotation position between the motor housing and the grip.

An automated system featuring a system controller, an oscillation drive, a linear drive, a rotational drive, a flexible drive shaft, a handpiece, and a disposable cartridge used for the application or removal of tattoos and for use in skin treatment such as needling, skin tightening, aesthetic microneedling, and superficial dermabrasion procedures. A needle cartridge or plurality of blades may be couplable in modular configurations within the disposable cartridge. The automated system may also have a plurality of blades or needle bundles in various configurations couplable to the disposable cartridge selected in accordance to the skin treatment performed. The system may also include a physically integrated and functionally automated fluid pump with associated disposable fluid container and disposable feed tube. Alternately, the fluid pump may stand physically and functionally independent of the automated system.

The adapter may enable a tattoo machine configured with a wireless battery pack to switch to a wired configuration by removing the wireless battery pack and replacing it with the adapter. One end of the adapter may be affixed to a portion of the tattoo machine so that the adapter may deliver power to the componentry of the tattoo machine to facilitate the operation of the tattoo machine. The other end of the adapter may include a connector for enabling connection of the adapter to a power supply or power source so that power may be delivered from the power supply or power source through the adapter and to the tattoo machine. When the tattoo machine is powered, the motor of the tattoo machine may reciprocate a needle included in a needle cartridge affixed to the tattoo machine.

A tattoo ink mixing apparatus has a housing having a cavity, a plunger movable between a first position and a second position, and a dynamic member disposed in the cavity and adapted to engage with the plunger distal end. The dynamic member moves in response to movement of the plunger and alternatively creates a suction force and an expulsion force in the opening of the distal end of the housing as the plunger moves between its first and second positions.
