HEAT INSULATING ELEMENT, BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND METHOD FOR AVOIDING MOISTURE DAMAGE AT A BUILDING
The invention relates to a heat insulating element (4) for an interior insulation, a facade insulation, a roof insulation, or the like at a building (1), comprising an insulating body (41) which is of diffusion-open design. The heat insulating element (4) is characterized in that it further comprises a fabric (42), especially a fleece, which is of capillary-active design, and that the fabric (42) is arranged on a surface of the insulating body (41). Furthermore, the invention relates to a building construction, to a method for avoiding moisture damage at a building (1), and to the use of a heat insulating element of this type. This achieves an improved heat insulating element (4) for avoiding moisture damage at a building (1) by means of which it is possible to accelerate drying of the region concerned in the case of the accumulation of water, especially condensation water, with simple means. Furthermore, an appropriate building construction is provided in which moisture damage can be avoided more reliably, and an improved method for avoiding moisture damage at a building (1) is provided.
EXTERIOR WALL FINISHING ARRANGEMENT
A finishing arrangement for an exterior wall of a building includes: a plurality of exterior finishing panels; and at least one support member configured to support at least a portion of the weight of the exterior finishing panels. Each exterior finishing panel includes: a foam body having an interior-facing surface and an exterior-facing surface, the interior-facing surface having a plurality of pedestals formed therein, the pedestals defining a plurality of drainage channels therebetween, the exterior-facing surface being opposite the interior-facing surface and having a plurality of slots formed therein; and a plurality of structural elements, each structural element being accommodated in a respective slot, each structural element having a fastening surface for fastening a finishing material.
EXTERIOR INSULATED FINISH WALL ASSEMBLY
Some embodiments include an exterior insulated finish wall assembly including an exterior panel member, an insert member, and a drainage channel. The exterior panel member includes a rigid insulative substrate and a base coat selectively disposed on the rigid insulative substrate. The rigid insulative substrate includes a body portion and a tail portion extending from the body portion. A recess is defined by a sloped surface and a back surface of the tail portion. The insert member is configured to be disposed within the recess. The insert member is sized and shaped to correspond to the recess. The insert member includes a rigid insulative substrate and a base coat selectively disposed on the rigid insulative substrate. The drainage channel is defined between the tail portion and the insert member.

THERMAL INSULATING PANEL
The invention relates to a thermal insulating panel used for the insulation of buildings. The thermal insulating panel has some rectangular or trapezoidal channels, delimited some ribs obtained by extrusion or injection molding, the average ratio of the width of the channels and the width of the ribs ranging from 18:1 to 3:1, one of the dimensions characterizing by the volume of the channels being smaller than the size at which convection of the air occurs in the channels, such that the thermal exchange to be made exclusively by air conduction.
Exterior insulating panel and system
An exterior insulating system for a building includes at least one insulating panel having a wall-facing side and an outward-facing side, a top and a bottom, the at least one insulating panel having a slope at the top that angles downwardly from the wall facing side to the outward-facing side; and at least one auxiliary panel having a first elongated edge dimensioned to be fastened along a soffit that is extending outwards from a wall of the building, the first elongated edge opposite a main body of the at least one auxiliary panel from a second elongated edge of the at least one auxiliary panel that is connectable to the at least one insulating panel, the main body incorporating structure for permitting airflow through the main body. In one example, the first elongated edge of the at least one auxiliary panel comprises holes therethrough for receiving respective fasteners to fasten the first elongated edge along the soffit.
