As such, heat insulation performance can be maximized, such that the insulation module has flame retardancy even when a fire occurs.

Described herein are methods for installing field-assembled flooring systems wherein the underlayment is a hybrid design that includes a combination of structural board and cementitious product. The hybrid design is configured to reduce or eliminate the curing time requirement after pouring the cementitious product (e.g., gypsum concrete). The field-assembled flooring systems can reduce or eliminate the chances of the onset of mold due to high moisture levels by removing the cementitious product from the prone areas and replacing it with structural boards. The structural boards (e.g., cellulose fiberboards) can be installed in non-critical areas such as underneath cabinets, around the perimeter of the floor, under bathtubs, in non-walk-in closets, anywhere drywall reaches the floor, or the like.

The insulated composite wall panel includes a skin layer including glass fibers and a cellulose fiber insulation board attached with a resin to a first surface of the skin layer. The thermal resistance of the cellulose fiber insulation board comprises the greatest component of the total wall thermal resistance.

Described herein are building panels and surface covering systems useful for spaces requiring acoustic control and design flexibility, and methods to prepare the same. Such building panels and surface covering systems comprise an building panel having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending there-between, the acoustic building panel comprising a body having an upper surface opposite a lower surface and side surfaces extending there-between; backing having a first side opposite a second side and comprising denim web and a low-melt polyester bicomponent fiber; wherein the first side of the denim web backing is in contact with the upper surface of the body; and wherein the denim web backing has a web basis weight from about 1150 to about 1350 g/m.sup.2. In certain embodiments, building panels and surface covering systems have superior fire resistant qualities.

A fire-stopping material for use in sandwich panels is provided, wherein the fire-stopping material comprises a resilient, porous material at least partially impregnated with an intumescent agent. A panel for an internal wall and an internal wall are also provided, comprising the fire-stopping material disposed between two substantially parallel boards, such as plaster boards. A method of providing a service penetration through an internal wall is also provided.

LIQUID COMPOSITION, FIREPROOF LAYER, LAMINATED STRUCTURE INCLUDING FIREPROOF LAYER, AND FIREPROOFING METHOD

A liquid composition including clay containing at least one selected from the group consisting of a montmorillonite, mica, hectorite, and fluorosilicate; and a dimer or higher phosphate is described. Such liquid compositions are capable of forming a fireproof layer having high fireproof performance on a surface of a base material to which a film for wallpaper or the like is applied. A fireproof layer which can be formed using the liquid composition, a laminated structure including the fireproof layer, and a fireproofing method using the liquid composition are also described.
