OPTIMIZED SUPPORT BEAM
20220259861 · 2022-08-18 · ·

A C-beam constructed to satisfy RMI and MHI standards for supporting two 2500 lb pallets over a 96 inch span and exhibit acceptable deflection, within industry safety specifications, that previously had only been satisfied by 4 inch C-beams of over 4 lb/ft, by optimizing the web thickness and the upper and lower flange dimensions. The beam is constructed, adapted, configured and dimensioned, such that it can weigh less than about 3.7 lb/ft, even less than about 3.55 lb/ft, and when supported at each end, will support an evenly distributed load of over 2400 lb, even 2500 lb, with a deflection of less than about 1/180 of its length.

Fire barrier building product and method and system for making same
11098485 · 2021-08-24 · ·

Methods and processes for depositing a fire resistant barrier on a construction material involve coating exposed webbing of, for instance, an I-joist with a fire-resistant material using a wetting layer and a thickening layer. A time period between depositing the wetting layer and thickening layer is controlled to facilitate complete wetting of the exposed webbing. Filler such as fiberglass may be included in the thickening layer. The wetting and thickening layers may be deposited on the webbing in the same application. The construction material, such as the I-joist, may then be subjected to a curing treatment and additional curing period followed by coating the second side using a similar methodology.

Monolithic corner

CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM FOR A MODULE OF A BUILDING
20210156142 · 2021-05-27 ·

The invention proposes a system for constructing a module of a building, including core construction elements (1) that are surrounded by the surrounding construction elements (2A, 2B). The core construction elements (1) each include, in section, a cross including two main arms (6) of equal length which intersect at mid-length at right angle. Each core construction element (1) has a plane of symmetry about the axes of the arms. The main arms (6) of the cross terminate, at the ends thereof, with transverse portions (7). Each surrounding construction element (2A, 2B) is composed of four partial surrounding parts (2A, 2B, 2A′, 2B′) of a generally triangular shape which are assembled around a core element (1). Construction elements forming junction parts (4A, 4B) allow assembling panels (4A, 4B) to form a module of a building in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped volume comprising four corners.

SPLICE JOINT OF CRANE MAIN GIRDER

A splice joint of a main girder of a crane, the main girder including at least two longitudinal main girder parts to be connected to each other by their ends and each having a central web which includes at least one web plate, longitudinal upper and lower flanges, the lower flange protruding from the central web to both sides thereof. The splice joint includes a plate-like tongue-and-groove joint, the tongue-and-groove joint including a tongue fixed to the central web of a main girder part, and a groove fixed to the central web of a second main girder part; and a lower flange joint receiving the bending forces of the splice joint. The tongue-and-groove joints are arranged reversed in relation to each other, and the location of the tongues and grooves on opposite sides of the web is reverse in relation to each other.

BUILDING SYSTEM AND METHOD UTILIZING INTEGRATED INSULATION, METHOD TO CONSTRUCT WALL PANEL
20210102377 · 2021-04-08 ·

A panelized building system and method of construction utilizing a rigid framing combined with foam insulation is disclosed. The system may include a metal roof panel, at least one metal wall panel, a floor panel, at least one metal corner post and at least one foundational component. A single layer of foam insulation encapsulates partially fills a rigid framing and may be molded against a non-stick surface or bonded to an exterior building material. In either case, a single monolithic piece is formed. A utility cavity may be formed interior to the single layer of foam insulation. The exterior face may be textured, undulated, radiused, or shaped in myriad ways.

Integrated perimeter pocket
10927546 · 2021-02-23 · ·

A system including a wall-mount hook and a perimeter pocket. The wall-mount hook is attached to a wall and includes a wall contacting portion having a top and a bottom, and a upward facing hook between the top and the bottom of the wall contacting portion. The pocket includes a top portion attached to a first and second leg on opposite ends of the top portion extending downwardly. The pocket further includes a wall attachment region including a downward facing hook and a ledge on an exterior surface of the pocket. The first leg contacts the wall, the bottom of the wall contacting portion slots into the ledge of the wall attachment region, and the downward facing hook of the wall attachment region rests on the upward facing hook of the wall-mount hook. The connection between the wall-mount hook and the pocket constrains lateral and vertical movement of the pocket.
