Structural member connection system
11028586 · 2021-06-08 · ·

A universal structural support member that includes multiple holes formed therethrough is provided to attach to multiple sized horizontal beams of a storage rack, built strong enough to support multiple pallets of goods. Pre-formed holes through the structural member and/or horizontal beam can be formed in the shape of a polygon, e.g., a square hole. A bolt to attach the structural support to the horizontal beam can be formed with a key structure to interlock with the hole and prevent rotation of the nut and/or structural member. The member can be configured with multiple holes in multiple arrangements to allow the structural support member to be used with differently sized storage racks.

High strength main tee splice

A connector for a main tee of a suspended ceiling grid that has improved tensile strength achieved by accurately proportioning an end tab and receiving depression so that full lateral abutment between these elements is obtained to assure full engagement between lock lance edges and mating stop edges.

PROFILE MEMBER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF
20200332526 · 2020-10-22 ·

A method for manufacturing a profile member for a suspended ceiling system, comprising forming a sheet metal material into an elongate T-shaped profile member with a web having two web side walls and a pair of oppositely disposed flanges projecting from a bottom portion of the web, and laser welding the elongate T-shaped profile member for providing a laser weld joint extending in a longitudinal direction of the T-shaped profile member and joining the two web side walls to each other. The step of laser welding comprises alternatingly performing a first operation and a second operation, the second operation being different from the first operation, whereby a laser weld joint is provided comprising along its extension alternating welded first sections associated to the first operation and second sections associated to the second operation. The present invention also relates to an elongate profile member provided with a laser weld joint.

A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A DOME AND A DOME MANUFACTURED USING THE METHOD

There is described a method of manufacturing a dome (2), the method comprising: providing a plurality of beams (6, 106, 206, 306), each of the plurality of beams (6, 106, 206, 306) comprising one or more slots (16, 22); and engaging at least one of the slots (16, 22) of each of the plurality of beams (6, 106, 206, 306) with a slot (16, 22) of the one or more slots (16, 22) of another of the plurality of beams (6, 106, 206, 306) so as to form at least part of the dome (2). There is also described a dome (2) manufactured in accordance with the method.

CARRIER FOR A LINEAR CEILING PANEL
20200263426 · 2020-08-20 ·

A linear panel mounting system includes a carrier extending in a longitudinal direction and having a recess formed therein, with the recess having with a neck portion and a main portion. The linear panel mounting system further comprises a linear panel having a flexible, resilient flange which extends at least partially along an edge of the panel, with the flange being configured to slot into the recess of the carrier and be retained therein to thereby attach the linear panel to the carrier.

STRUCTURE WITH INTEGRATED INSULATION
20200248443 · 2020-08-06 ·

A structure with integrated insulation. The structure with integrated insulation includes a steel frame, the steel frame including a first vertical support beam and a second vertical support beam. The structure with integrated insulation also includes a building panel with integrated insulation. The building panel with integrated insulation including a first surface, a second surface, where the second surface is opposite the first surface, a first edge, where the first edge is disposed between the first surface and the second surface, and a second edge, where the second edge is disposed between the first surface and the second surface and is opposite the first edge. The building panel with integrated insulation being attached to the first vertical support beam on the first surface of the building panel with integrated insulation and attached to the second vertical support beam on the second surface of the building panel with integrated insulation.

Elongated composite profile

An end cap for preventing ingress of moisture to the end face of a structural beam, wherein said structural beam comprises metal, stone, concrete, reinforced concrete, or a mixture thereof; said end cap comprising: (i) an end plate having a shape matching the transverse cross-section of said structural beam; and (ii) a skirt for holding said end plate in position; wherein said end plate and said skirt comprise or consist of a material for preventing transmission of moisture.

Structural member with anti-rotation feature

A structural member with a central portion that has a first piece and a second piece which form a cross-sectional L-shape configuration along a longitudinal axis is disclosed herein. When fastened to a horizontal bar, the first piece of the structural member may come into contact with a portion of the horizontal bar, thereby preventing the structural member from rotating. The structural member includes a connection component that extends from an end of the first piece, and the connection component extends substantially perpendicular to the first piece. The connection component may be configured in at least two different embodiments in that the connection component may include two holes or three holes. The implementation of more than one hole on the connection component allows the structural member to be universal in that it can be implemented on varying sized storage racks that employ different sized horizontal bars.

Carrier for a linear ceiling panel

A carrier for mounting linear panels on a ceiling, the carrier extending in a longitudinal direction and having at least one recess formed therein, the recess being for receiving a linear ceiling panel, the recess extending through the cross-section of the carrier, the recess being defined by a surface comprising at least a first wall portion and a second wall portion, the recess separating the first wall portion from the second wall portion, and the second wall portion, defining a flange which partially extends into the recess, thereby providing the recess with a neck portion and a main portion, and wherein the neck portion has, at its narrowest point, a distance d1 of less than 9 mm separating the first wall portion from the second wall portion.
