REINFORCEMENT DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONSTRUCTING AND REINFORCING THE FOUNDATION OF A STRUCTURE
The present disclosure relates to reinforcement devices, systems and methods for use in constructing new structures, including post frame structures. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to reinforcement devices, systems and methods for replacing traditional wood and/or precast concrete columns utilized in building a new construction foundation, with a height adjustable foundation column assembly constructed from a corrosion resistant material. The present disclosure also relates to reinforcement devices, systems and methods useful for reinforcing existing post frame structures, particularly those with framing elements requiring repair.
Resilient wallboard mounting channel accommodating standard fasteners
An improved resilient wallboard channel constructed and arranged for attachment to a surface of a framing member and accommodating standard fasteners. Included on the present channel is a first, generally planar surface having an elongate edge, an inclined web disposed along the elongate edge and projecting at an oblique angle relative to the first surface, a web edge of the inclined web opposite the first surface is shared with a second, generally planar surface, a stop flange, which is shorter than the inclined web, projects from a stop flange edge of the second surface opposite the inclined web, and the first surface and the web edge are separated by at least -inch measured normally from the framing member surface.
Fire Protection Retrofits for High-Rise Buildings
Buildings, particularly high-rise buildings, are retrofitted with a fire resistant liquid-applied material, preferably a material that intumesces with heat, where the exterior of the building is formed of metal clad combustible foam composite panels. Once the fire resistant coating has been applied, new thin panels matching the original fascia are installed outside the original composite panels, with space between, so that the appearance of the building is maintained.
DECK FRAMING SYSTEM
A deck framing system includes a ledger that has a joist support wall, a web wall extending perpendicularly from the joist support wall, and an overhang wall extending perpendicularly from the web wall and disposed parallel to the joist support wall. Each of a plurality of joist support brackets is configured to be coupled to the web wall of the ledger and includes at least one ledger attachment wing and a joist support portion that includes a pair of opposed lateral walls and a bracket web wall. Each of a plurality of joists includes at least one lateral wall and a deck support wall that extend from the at least one lateral wall. The at least one lateral wall is configured to be secured to one of the opposed lateral walls of the joist support portion.
Deck framing system
Embodiments of the present disclosure include a deck framing system formed of light gauge steel. The thickness of the light gauge steel components may be different among particular components depending on the load carried by the particular component and depending on the forming method for fabrication of the particular component. The deck framing system includes a ledger in which bracket slots are formed. The bracket slots are spaced apart from each other along a length of the ledger. Each bracket slot receives a joist support bracket. Each of the joist support brackets are received within an end of a joist. According to certain embodiments, the joists are generally in a closed box-like shape. The deck surface is laid on top of and supported by the joists.
SYSTEM TOOL FOR WEIGHT OPTIMIZATION OF THIN WALL STRUCTURES
A thin wall profile member (TPM) with a cross-sectional shape and dimensions constant along its length is pre-constructed for use as a load carrying, weight optimized structural element. The TPM has at least one main strip having longitudinal reinforcing ribs and at least one additional strip having longitudinal reinforcing ribs. The at least one additional strip has a width that does not exceed a width of the at least one main strip and has a thickness that equals or exceeds a thickness of the at least one main strip. A ratio of the width of the at least one additional strip to the width of the at least one main strip is in the range of 0.05 to 1.0. A ratio of the thickness of the at least one additional strip to the thickness of the at least one main strip is in the range of 1.0 to 5.0.
Multi angle roof truss tie-down apparatus and method
The present invention relates to a roof truss tie-down apparatus including a pin and bracket engagement which enables a wall frame to accommodate any style of roof truss at any angle, and a method of constructing such a roof frame.
