Ultrasonic Flow Sensor System Including a Flow Tube with an Absorber Sheath Encircling the Flow Tube
20230273054 · 2023-08-31 ·

A flow sensor sub-assembly for sensing flow of a fluidic medicament includes a flow tube having a flow tube inlet and a flow tube outlet, and an acoustical transmission rate. The medicament flows through the flow tube. A first piezo element is arranged at an upstream position of the flow tube and a second piezo element is arranged at a downstream position of the flow tube, such that the first piezo element and the second piezo element are mounted apart a pre-selected distance from each other. An absorber sheath encircles the flow tube. The absorber sheath has an upstream end and a downstream end. The absorber sheath is comprised of a material with an acoustical transmission rate different than the flow tube.

Disposable medical device introduction system
11737783 · 2023-08-29 · ·

A disposable medical introduction system including a medical device and a disposable inserter. The disposable inserter includes a carrier to receive the medical device. The carrier includes at least one annular projection. The disposable inserter includes a retractor received within the at least one annular projection and movable relative to the at least one annular projection. The retractor has at least one retaining arm. The disposable inserter includes a needle cartridge coupled to the retractor that includes an insertion needle. The at least one retaining arm cooperates with the needle cartridge to maintain the insertion needle in a first, extended state. A movement of the retractor relative to the at least one annular projection releases the at least one retaining arm to move the insertion needle from the first, extended state to a second, retracted state.

POWER SUPPLY DEVICE AND MEDICAL DEVICE

A power supply device includes a power transmission coil which supplies electric power from outside the body in a non-contact manner via a power reception coil of an intracorporeal implanting-type medical appliance to which a drug solution is injected from outside the body. A support supports the power transmission coil, and an adhesive part is formed on the side of the support facing the body surface of a living subject.

System and method for delivering fluid internally of a patient's body

A fluid distribution system for delivering fluid internally of a body comprises a hollow needle and an implantable access port. The needle has a tip with a predetermined shape. The access port includes (a) a housing that includes at least two fluid outlets, (b) a septum received in the housing, and (c) a valve member rotatable in the housing. The valve member includes valve fluid inlet and outlet openings and a valve inlet passage extending from the inlet opening to the outlet opening. The valve inlet passage has a shape complementary to the shape of the needle tip. The valve member is rotatable into (i) a first position in which the valve fluid outlet opening communicates with a first housing fluid outlet and (ii) a second position in which the valve fluid outlet opening communicates with a second housing fluid outlet.

Devices, systems and methods for removal and replacement of a catheter for an implanted access port

A medical device is provided which comprises an implantable vascular access port including a fluid passage operable to introduce fluid to a host and/or remove fluid from the host, the fluid passage accessible through a fluid passage access opening and at least a portion of the fluid passage defined by a needle configured to penetrate cutaneous tissue of the host; and an implantable vascular access catheter connectable with the vascular access port; wherein the vascular access catheter and the vascular access port are connectable to each other within the vascular access port.

IMPLANTABLE ACCESS PORT WITH ONE-DIRECTIONAL FILTER
20220134077 · 2022-05-05 ·

An implantable access port including a port housing that defines a fill port cavity and includes a catheter fitting, a filter positioned within the port housing along a delivery flow pathway configured so that fluid injected into the fill port cavity passes through the filter prior to exiting through the catheter fitting, a one-way valve positioned within the port housing along an aspiration flow pathway configured to permit aspirated fluid to flow unfiltered from the catheter fitting to the fill port cavity and prevent injected fluid from flowing unfiltered from the fill port cavity to the catheter fitting, a port cover coupled to the port housing, and a pierceable septum positioned between the fill port cavity and the port cover configured to allow a needle to pierce through the pierceable septum to access the fill port cavity.

IMPLANTABLE DRUG DELIVERY PORT

A drug delivery port including a port housing having an inner sidewall defining a fill port cavity and a fill port washer in direct contact with a perimeter edge of the inner sidewall of the port housing such that an intersection between the washer and the perimeter edge define a plurality of filter channels having a cross-sectional flow area of about 0.001 mm.sup.2 to about 0.5 mm.sup.2 that lie within the fluid pathway of the delivery port. The delivery port also includes a port cover coupled and a pierceable septum compressed between the fill port washer and the port cover configured to allow a needle to pierce through the septum to deliver an injectable fluid to the fill port cavity.

Hemostasis valves having multiple sealable openings

Hemostasis valves and hemostasis valve systems are provided. A hemostasis valve can include a valve member, wherein the valve member includes a first sealable opening disposed through a first portion of the valve member and a second sealable opening disposed through a second portion of the valve member. The valve member may also include three or more sealable openings. A hemostasis valve system may include a hemostasis valve and another medical device. The hemostasis valve may be releasably coupleable to the other medical device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TISSUE EXPANSION
