DEBRIS-FILTER MATERIALS PRINCIPALLY FOR AUTOMATIC SWIMMING POOL CLEANERS

Debris filters for automatic swimming pool cleaners may be formed of metal, carbon fibers, or composites more rigid than soft nylon bags. In at least one version, the filter may be made of, or include, steel or stainless steel. Non-uniform sizes, densities, and/or shapes of openings in the filtration material may be created to provide different levels of filtration in a single device.

Hand-Held Turbine Cleaner

A hand-held turbine cleaning tool includes front and rear housings coupled to each other, an outlet at one end of the tool, and a top of the tool at an opposed end. The outlet is directed in a first direction away from the top. An inlet is disposed between the outlet and the top and is also directed in the first direction. A diverter valve at the inlet is moveable between on and off positions. The on position directs water flowing into the inlet from the inlet, up to the top in a second direction opposite the first direction, and then down to the outlet in the first direction. A turbine at the top has a turbine shaft that extends outside the tool. An abrasive member is connected to the turbine shaft and is configured to rotate when water flows from the inlet to the outlet.

Pool vacuum gasket method and apparatus
10767381 · 2020-09-08 ·

A pool vacuum method and apparatus that uses a skimmer with an aperture that allows pool water to communicate with a chamber in the skimmer. An upwardly-facing shoulder is formed at the base of an upper sidewall and the top of a lower sidewall and a rigid vacuum plate, which has a conduit to which a hose and vacuum head may be attached, is placed adjacent the shoulder. A neoprene gasket is attached to the vacuum plate and is interposed between the shoulder and the vacuum plate. The gasket has a lip that extends radially outwardly of the vacuum plate to form a secondary seal by expanding outwardly against the upper sidewall. Upon operating a pump, the suction causes the vacuum plate and gasket to seal to prevent or greatly inhibit water from passing the vacuum plate and gasket other than through the conduit.

Motor can seal and shaft

A universal device for capping and mounting a motor within a motorized pool cleaner housing that allows a motor pump to be installed in different brands of pool cleaners and used at increased depths underwater. An improved motor can seal has an outer seal having a first diameter, an inner seal having a second diameter and an intermediate seal connecting the outer seal to the inner seal where the inner seal is tapered towards the distal end of the inner seal. An improved motor shaft is used having a head section, a body section and a seal area, wherein the seal area is hard chrome plated.

Turbine-Powered Pool Scrubber

A pool cleaning tool includes a front housing and a rear housing coupled together, an intake, an outlet, a turbine disposed within the front and rear housings, and a three-way diverter valve proximate the intake. The tool includes an abrasive member, rigidly coupled to the turbine, mounted outside the front and rear housings for rotation with the turbine. The three-way diverter valve has an on position in which water drawn into the intake is communicated into the tool, up to the turbine, and then out the outlet, thereby imparting rotation to the turbine and to the abrasive member.

Flow control valve for suction cleaners

Improved flow control valve assemblies for fluid systems (e.g., pools or spas) are provided. Advantageous flow control valve assemblies for pool/spa cleaners (e.g., suction pool/spa cleaners) are provided. The present disclosure provides for flow control assemblies for suction pool/spa cleaners, with the cleaners utilized in conjunction with a variable speed pump. A manual valve set-up can be removed from the system, and an advantageous flow control valve assembly can be provided to automatically regulate the flow/suction to the cleaner. The improved flow control valve assembly thereby provides regulated flow to the cleaner, so that if the cleaner remains in the water at low pump speeds, when the pump is later operated at a higher speed the cleaner will function as designed. When there is flow/suction below the desired operating parameters of the cleaner, the pump will operate as desired, and the cleaner is stationary.

Streaming volumetric video for six degrees of freedom virtual reality

There is disclosed a system and method for streaming of volumetric three-dimensional video content. The system includes a separate rendering server and display device such that the rendering server receives pose and motion data from the mobile device and generates completed frames of video for the mobile device. The frames of video are transmitted to the mobile device for display. Predictive algorithms enable the rendering server to predict display device pose from frame-to-frame to thereby reduce overall latency in communications between the rendering server and display device.

DEVICE AND ASSEMBLY FOR CLEANING SWIMMING POOLS

A device for cleaning a swimming pool, containing water and comprising a bottom surface thereof, comprises a vacuum head defining a sweeping side, an inlet port, an outlet port and an internal cavity in fluid communication with the inlet and outlet ports. The sweeping side provides for being swept along the bottom surface of the swimming pool and defines an opening leading to the internal cavity. The outlet port provides for being in fluid communication with a vacuum for subjecting the internal cavity to a vacuum force for suctioning water and debris. The inlet port provides for being in fluid communication with a water source for injecting water into the inner cavity during suctioning. The vacuum force via the outlet port in tandem with water injection via the inlet port provides for the vacuum head to suction water and debris via the opening for discharge via the outlet port.

ADAPTER FOR POOL CLEANING SYSTEM

An adapter for a pool cleaning system is provided. The adapter includes a base member having a top and a bottom surface. The adapter also includes six upper ports coupled to the top surface of the base member, each upper port including an upper aperture extending through the upper port and through the base member. The adapter further includes five lower ports coupled to the bottom surface of the base member, each lower port including a lower aperture extending through the lower port and through the base member. In some embodiments, four of lower ports are in fluid communication four of the upper ports and one of the lower ports is in fluid communication with two of the upper ports.
